    Its important that retinoids are used with care always. Even at its mild form or lower percentages it can cause sun sensitivity leading a UV damage, birth defects and is not to be used without a doctors advise when pregnant, planning to concieve or breastfeeding. Before starting its use please do consult with your dermatologist.

    A few folks are wondering the wisdom of using oil based vitamin c before the other actives. Yes it does go beyond "common" wisdom but it works for me. It works because one my skin is very dry, AS ALSO the product is very very light and does not interfere with the following products.I use a drop or two as that is all I need.
    I have been using this routine for more than 4 months and the melasma is only getting lighter as you can see in the video :) woohoo
    The more I experiment the more I learn that knowing something in "THEORY' is very different FROM 'PRACTICAL' use.

      I started using the pilgrim vit c after watching your video and am loving it ! But could I use it in the morning as well or do I need to get another brand ? Planning to get the minimalist 5% niacinamide ,could I use it directly after cleansing in the morning or is vit c a must ? Thank you so much for your detailed videos ,it’s a huge help for someone as clueless as myself . Maya Anil Kumar.

Now I've been using minimalist HA, AA and Niacinamide from last 1 week.. before that I used Pilgrim's vitamin c for a month and my pigmentation did fade and gave my skin some real glow. Now before buying minimalist products I had a conversation with their specialist and they told me not to use pilgrim vit c and I have stopped using it. After seeing this video I feel I should start using it again. Please advice.

    I found this channel yesterday and I'm hooked. Absolutely love this content. I am struggling with melasma and dark spots on my body as well. My neck is darker than the rest of my body too. I am thinking of using the Detoxie vitamin c in the morning. Do you suggest using tranexamic acid, azelaic acid and alpha arbutin together during the night since all these ingredients are targeted at depigmentation and fading dark spots? I don't want to use them all at once but slowly introduce them to my skin. Please let me know your opinion!

      introduce one at a time

    • @RubinaSkincare
      @RubinaSkincare  Před 3 lety +1

      Hello :), those are the hardest to handle and consistency is key. Make sure the area is very well hydrated. I prefer using eye creams cause most moisturisers make my eyes water or itchy. Also using eye creams powered with lightening agents (which you might not need for your face) and extra plumping are great. I am using two eye creams currently - one from detoxie and the other from Just herbs. I use them alternatively as both seperately have ingredients that i want for my eye area :) I have done a video too on these you might want to catch it if you find the time. czcams.com/video/7BI0Gl3Chaw/video.html
      Other than this its important to clean the eye area with a good cleanser that effectively removes make up and oils. Also dont forget to us sunglasses- squinting in the sun light or bright areas definitely adds to lines!
      Hope this helps :)

    Hi! What is your opinion on the recast retinol serum?

  • @mukherjiradhika85
    @mukherjiradhika85 Před 3 lety

    So many serums together do not dominate each other Rubina? Besides, is it advisable to use vitamin c during daylight?

    • @RubinaSkincare
      @RubinaSkincare  Před 3 lety

      Its good to let each serum get absorbed in.Once. your pigmentation has faded you can reduce the number and just stick to basics. Yes vitc in day time to fight UV radiation.

    Hi Rubina have you use retin a and vitamin c together in night time? And does nicinamide and vitamin c together won’t cause irritation

    • @RubinaSkincare
      @RubinaSkincare  Před 3 lety +1

      I suggest that you keep vitc separate if you are just beginning retin a. I have been using retin a for very long and it does not irritate my skin at all.
      NO niacinamide and vitc dont cause irritation to the skin UNLESS your skin is sensitive to niacinamide, whic h sometimes it could be. So if you feel irritation or redness separate these two.
      I have been using them together for years now! no irritation ever.

    Ma'am plz tell hyaluronic acid is meant to be applied before Vit C or before Vit C becoz some of the influencers say to use it before VitC on damp skin. Ma'am plz enlighten me on this.

    • @RubinaSkincare
      @RubinaSkincare  Před 3 lety

      VitC first as it also has exfoliation properties and helps prep the skin better for the next products. In my experience it works better!

    This is the first video I had watched of your channel and been hooked ever since.. and started using many of your recommendations..just a quickie , how to avoid balling up of layering of products..even when I do double cleanse and also exfoliate twice a week but when I use any facial oil in the end step and everything just balls up like nothing was absorbed..😞..what am I doing wrong?? Thank you again 🤗🤗

    • @RubinaSkincare
      @RubinaSkincare  Před 3 lety +1

      Thanks Farrah. Glad to have you part of this journey. Formulations have other ingredients that help carry the active. And these tend to stay on the surface adding texture n feel. So ball8 f up does not mean it's not getting absorbed. A good way to counteract it is to use moisturizer only and keep facial oils just for some days a week when you want to massage in n enjoy a little bit facial relaxation. I do it once a week only. Hope this helps.

      If you have uneven skin tone or pigmentation then both. if you are looking for just brighteness then only AA. if you are looking for brighteness and wrinkle control then add niacinamide. Niacinamide can also control oiliness so keep a watch if your skin feels dry.
