Made notes on this:
Anti- aging AM routine all year round:
Step1: Squalene cleanser
Step2: vitamin C serum or The Buffet
Step 3: Marine Hyaluronic Acid or Amino Acid
Step 4: Moisturizer with HA
Step 5: Sunscreen
PM routine
Step 1: Squalene cleanser
Step 2: Retinol 1%
Step 3: Resveratrol 3% - not to be mixed with the Buffet
Step 4: Moisturizer with HA
During fall or winter, add Amino acid with B5 after cleansing in the PM routine
For day if I don't get the buffet with copper can I use a multi peptide+aha buffet serum instead?

I liked the Ordinary moisture cream except for the consistency. It was quite thick and I had to put the tube into a sink of hot water while I showered so it was easier to squeeze out.

The 8 to 10 hours at night while we sleep, our skin is turning cells over and creating oils. Wash in the morning too with hydrating face wash.

Yes he can definitely use those two together but keep in mind there is always a chance of irritation with this pairing so if he experiences this then tell him to keep it separate (Buffet + Copper in the morning and Retinol at night)

Niacinamide can be applied within your serums before moisturizer/SPF. Always remember thinnest to thickest (texture) when layering skincare. At night apply it before your Retinol/Retinoid.

Oh absolutely!! The regular Buffet serum would be great as well!! I talk so highly about copper peptides because I feel like it works better but that is from my own personal experience..
I don't think mineral sunscreens should be only judged by their application and "ghosting". They are much safer for humans and the environment, specifically the reef environment. Would love to see a work around video for their number one "con", the ghosting effect. Maybe a tinted moisturizer over?
CereVa has a mineral tinted sunscreen that I use and it blends in well and smooth. I prefer it to white sunscreen 100%.
I love watching your reviews. I’m older and have wrinkles and sun spots..is there any recommendations on serums that you would use in addition to these products for older skin?
I have a lot of hyperpigmentation on my cheeks. I started using The Ordinary Lactic Acid and their Salicylic acid twice a day and they are breaking up my hyperpigmentation a lot just within two months! I’ve tried everything and this combo really seems to be working

If you have sun spots (dark spots I am assuming), Alpha Arbutin can be a great product to use and it pairs up nicely with peptides/copper peptides and even retinol/retinoid. Glycolic Acid can also be a great ingredient to use as this can help to lighten dark spots over time.

I have The Ordinary Glycolic Acid but I found it too aggressive when I first tried it and so left it off while getting to use the other products. Does this type of sensitivity (stinging) wear off after a while?

Hello Ash. I stumbled upon your channel. Looking forward to trying some of the products you used in your routines. In your line of work, I know that you try alot of products. Typically, how many applications or using a product, do you make a determination if the product lives up it it's claim?

I generally test products for at least 4-5 weeks sometimes longer depending on the product and the experience I am having but that is a good length of time I think to give a true review on the product.. Sometimes you need to use products for several months before you see a change with the skin (everyone is different of course)😉

Yes you can pair these two together as the Ascorbyl Glucoside is a Vitamin C derivative.

You can definitely use the caffeine serum after. Serums are best applied before creams (thicker products)🥰

Try the caffeine solution I use it every morning.
The Caffeine Solution is the only eye product they have but you can use most serums around the eyes if tolerated of course.

That is always what I did.. Antioxidants are great in the morning as they help protect from environmental stressors. Vitamin C is great to use in the morning and/or Resveratrol is another antioxidant that is fabulous as well..
If i wish to use rosehip oil, when should i use it? Evening or am? Should it be after my moisturizer?
It's recommended to be used at night according to The Ordinary. It should be applied on top of moisturizer.

You want to apply thinnest to thickest for proper layering and absorption.
Water based serums first, moisturizer and then oil.
The Ordinary Retinol does have an oily feel so I would apply that after water based serums and before moisturizer.

Question! I’m so confused after watching several of the videos! I’m a newbie (sorry). So I put everything you have in this video in my cart. I really want to try the 2x’s a week AHA 30% + BHA 2% Exfoliating Peeling Solution or some sort of 2x’s a week peel. All of the peels say I shouldn’t use them with everything mentioned in the video. Haha Can I still use it?
Hey there!
So you can definitely use the peeling solution 1-2x's a week if your skin can tolerate to it of course. Products that would be amazing to pair with it would be Hyaluronic Acid, Amino Acids + B5, Niacinamide, Alpha Arubtin and Oils (hydrating ingredients) are some examples but of course you don't need all of those products. When using the peeling solution, it's best to keep the following products hydrating/repairing as this product can be intense for some people.

No worries and it really is personal preference! When I am applying products that are gentle/hydrating I always apply them onto damp skin so I don't wait too long in-between applications. When using exfoliating acids (Glycolic, Lactic Acid etc), Retinol/Retinoid I always apply these onto dry skin to prevent "quick absorption" which could lead to further dryness/irritation.

Yes you can!!
Niacinimide is safe with a lot of products. Yes it's safe. It's best at ranges between 2-5%
Can i use the resveratrol around my eyes?
If your skin can tolerate it then yes.
Can I use Bakuchiol in the place of retinol please?
Yes of course.
Ash, do you prefer Inky List Niacinamide over TO?
Yes because it doesn’t cause pilling and I find it more hydrating..

Yes Argireline can be used with Copper Peptides but The Ordinary doesn't recommend using Resveratrol with any type of peptide.

What about ferulic ?
Highly recommend to use retinol on alternating nights from your direct acids as using the two together could be a harsh and irritating pairing. Resveratrol + Ferulic Acid can be used with Retinol but not recommend with direct acids.

What about using resvitrol ferulic acid with Buffet without copper peptides.
Resveratrol + Ferulic Acid should remain separate from all peptides including the regular Buffet (according to the Ordinary)

Can you use the vitamin C and the Buffet with Copper together?
The Ordinary doesn't recommend using "pure forms" of Vitamin C "L-Ascorbic" Acid with Peptides and/or Copper Peptides.

To be honest, I feel like the Retinol 1% is more powerful than the Granactive Retinoid. It was once available here in Canada and I have tried it but much prefer the Retinol..
If you are looking for something stronger I would pick up a Retinaldehyde. This is stronger than Retinol but one step closer to Retinoic Acid (Tretinoin). Avene has one and it's amazing!! I read somewhere that granactive is 10 to 20 % as strong as retinol. So 5% granactive is equal to
.5 to 1% retinol.

Hi Ash what can I use under my eyes with copper peptide serum. I have puffy eyes n few wrinkles.
I do and it works great but everyone should be cautious with anything that is placed around the eyes as the skin is very delicate.

Oh sorry I completely read your question wrong...
I usually use Amino Acids + B5 for hydration but you could also pair The Ordinary Caffeine Solution for the puffiness and the copper peptides is good for firming/fine lines/wrinkles.

Just started using Copper Peptides bc of you and I am so excited! Use it in AM. Wish I could also use in PM on one of my alternative routines but I use Glycolic Acid one night and Vit C the other so it conflicts with both …right? 😢

I am confused 🙄 You mention, rightly so, that one has to be consistent to see results. But if you switch between different brands then how do you know if the product/brand works? I am NOT trying to be a negative nellie but am really confused.
In my case I test products for a good length of time which is why I have reviews so I know what works for me and once I know it works I then switch between brands or I like to mix different brands/products together in my routines with products that work well together. I hope this makes sense lol..
Why the copper is blue ?
Neutrogena had a really nice copper based moisturizer ages ago I loved.. it was blue too. Must be something about the copper that creates the color
