- Should you buy Nintendo Switch OLED in 2024?
This is not really a review of the switch OLED and more to get an understanding from my point of view if it's worth the upgrade from the OG LCD switch - Thanks for watching

yes. if you want it, no youtube titles should stop you
Bought the OLED last Sunday after having a Switch Lite since 2021. I never finished my Pokemon, Zelda, and Kirby games. Now I'm hyped to play all of them with a big monitor. ❤
I know that there will be a Switch 2 coming out but I'm happy that I got the OLED. I now have a baby switch and a momma switch. Will save up for the daddy Switch 2. 😂
everyone talks about the screen, but the sound (speakers) has also been significantly improved
Good point!
the added LAN port is also good for Splatoon matches.
Hey! Am passing the deck since steam is on my PC. And for the record I know rumors are all around, but I just bought my Switch OLED few days ago and waiting for it excitedly. We are not yet aware if next switch is backward compatible and I am so excited to have my hands on Zelda, can’t be passed.
I got the Switch Oled a few months ago to replace my OG from 2017. Love the screen and deep blacks and the colors pop more. Especially mario kart. And it's worth it imo
Probably gonna save up my allowance and get the new Nintendo Switch, if it gets announced. But the Zelda Switch OLED bundle is just to good and too beautiful to pass up. So, I may end up getting that one instead.
I just bought the lcd switch 5 days ago so will have it for a good year or so until the new switch comes out
Good plan tbf
I had both steam deck and regular switch. Steam deck is just too big, and the battery lasts like 1-1.5 hours for any AAA game. It’s really not a portable gaming machine. I’ve sold it today and got a switch OLED to upgrade from my older switch.
Disagree. OLED deck solves a lot of these issues(better battery more efficient lighter weight screen etc) and few games are pushing the battery to that level. If you try to play Spider-man or Elden on deck, ofc battery perf is degraded. But switch can not even begin to touch games of that caliber. Most cross plats are heavily compromised on switch as well, and settings can be tuned on deck higher than switch with equivalent battery. Also, many switch games run at full speed with emulator overhead at around 3-4 hours, and GC /Wii games can push 7+
@@JigglypuffTutorialsyou can play those PC games on any pc hardware and they would outperform the deck. The same cannot be said for Nintendo exclusive games - legitimately. Get a desktop and a Switch = perfect
Worst decision ever
I’m playing hogwarts legacy with 3 hours of battery
It doesn't dissolve the fact that PC players generally hate 30fps gaming, yet the deck struggles to get above that in many big titles. @@JigglypuffTutorials
I liked Switch it's pick and play console. So good, many good games that I liked ❤
For Hand held gaming i prefer Nintendo switch Oled😊
Only have switch lite currently - if it were backwards compatible, it would seem I would be double paying to buy today and then again at the end of the year (one theoretical release point).
I love the switch oled! Very excited to buy the new switch when I can get my hands on it. Until then I have my oled to play. And when I get the new switch I am going to make sure to switch between to the 2 so I get my moneys worth.
short answer: wait for the next two nintendo directs if you can wait
If you can’t wait: switch lite or the release day switch
And this right here is why I been holding out for the past 5 years. People kept saying a switch pro or switch 4k was coming year after year and never happened. But my want for a switch grew more and more, now everyone's 60% sure a switch is coming 2024, but there are so many games coming out and that's been out that I want to play now on the switch.
@@eronic404I just upgraded from my V2 (that was collecting dust) to an OLED and it's amazing, so if you don't have a switch already buying an OLED is in no way a bad decision. You have a gigantic catalogue of great games to play.
Since the release of the OLED I waited for the next gen switch and I finally got tired of waiting, even if the new switch gets announced this January I won't regret my purchase because now I'm actually using my switch again, only thing I regret is not upgrading sooner and getting a totk OLED.
@eronic404 I agree too many rumors but no confirmation. I might just buy an oled soon. Sold my lcd about a year ago and now I miss it.
i just played TWD telltale series and it was amazing to play on the switch
yes, definitely if i have the money and no backwards compatibility on the next gen. that would be partner to my v2. never considering deck because i rather play those games i have on steam on pc.
Agree
I am enjoying my switch oled I got it like 4 weeks ago
Been considering just buying the tablet off eBay but scared of it being faulty or Nintendo announcing a new console
Same
@@The_TylerDurden_Narrator yeah I ended up getting one off eBay lol should be coming in like 2 days im hyped
@@rodz0921I just bought a switch it pretty fun

I love my oled 🤍🤎
In japan switch oled more popular than ps5 among in japanese ppl
I can imagine!
Nintendo line up products will be low/mid spec --> low/mid spec --> highest spec somewhat later after 5 years maybe?
They would not produce like smartphone companies, all tier specs at the same time. Their product's release timing is proven over time, sell a lot, people are buying and they gain lots of profits.
Just bought switch OLED, wait for another 5 years? for highest spec Switch 2.
Might buy the zelda edition
I was so tempted
Or better than an Odin 2
Can uu have intearnand nexfix
Consider getting a steamdeck instead. While the oled switch screen is nice, you can only play games and pay Nintendo on this thing. I wanted a little more versatility from something taking up both of my hands
