@Thomas Laguna well, this one is because it's "inside her" 🤷♂️

☔💩
Plot twist: Drinker hasn't seen any episode of She-Hulk. He's making it all up. He knows 99.99% of the world can't call him on it because they haven't seen it either, and the other 0.01% have already died of boredom.
Oh I wish
That would actually be clever. But as someone who is also torturing himself watching this show, he’s definitely seen it. I watch episodes now almost entirely just so I can see what Drinker is going to say about it.
I would swallow it whole like all fan bait coming my way
And Drinker's made-up reviews would be miles ahead of the actual show, in any event.
That be a better plot then this show has.
Tim Roth is putting 2% effort into this, and you can still tell he is the most talented actor on the show.
Paycheck.
To be honest... Maslany is also a really good actress. But what she is given and what the directors ask her to do... noone can save that!

@@Smido83 Yeah, I feel bad for her
@@Smido83 Not her fault. Writing is pure dog sh*t.
FUN FACT OF THE DAY: Drinker's alcoholism has risen by 27.9% whilst watching this show.
The bigger question is, what's the maximum?
That can't be right. I think you meant episode.
@@Darthgipsyjoe I think you meant every minute watching it lol
I can't say I blame him, if anything, it's a sane counteroffensive.
@@Darthgipsyjoe I think you may be correct. My most recent examination of Drinker's kidneys were taken around the time of the 2nd episode, a lot may have changed since😟
" I DoN´T wAnT tO dO SuPerheRO StuFF, I´aM a LaWyeR" 3rd episode in a row where she does´nt even do legal shit. Fking epic top tier writing here!!
Does she ever use her legal shit to actually do something cool? Like using international law as a way to get a villain to step down? Or using the random laws that some states have?
You're not a real lawyer!
Acts like she really cares about being a lawyer, but texts a man during a legal meeting
@@geomeopeoleo1740 no, the writers are too drunk to even rip off Ally Mc Beal properly, the only time Jen has to do something half-serious like protect her own fkin name's copyright/trademark she is assigned another lawyer to deal with the case (and even then the """trial""" is some strange weird thing because the writers can't be arsed to ask a consultant how this stuff works)
She wants to be a lawyer not because she has any actual interest in being a lawyer, but rather because she likes saying, "I'M A LAWYER!", to people. She is rather obviously only interested in the perception it creates, and not in helping people, being good at lawyering, or even associating with any other lawyers.
Thank you for your sacrifice. Watching the show so we don't have to.
I was done with it after the first episode, so I am impressed with his perseverance.
Like you're not watching it. Sure.
I’m glad I’m watching the Drinker instead of the show
Remember the meme, *_"Still Better Than Twilight."_* Well, we haven't been able to say that for She-Hulk, Batwoman, or Rings of Power.
I just don't understand how ANY human being that became a Hulk would not be out running around exploring their new god-like abilities and yet she doesn't even dabble. She literally does NOTHING as a hulk. It's the most pointless thing to watch a super being just sit around all day and struggle with mundane life issues.
Yes, a character arc where the power goes to her head. She gets in trouble and humbles herself. That would make sense.
@@erroneous6947 Or even more shocking... a character who... who... LISTENS TO HER PEERS, and learns from their mistakes, meaning she makes NEW mistakes instead!
But that takes more writing effort than "we swapped stories and used them for scripts".
@@hariman7727 I'd settle for "listens to her peers, tries to learn, but the power trip is too much and makes her own mistakes, then learns.
Daredevil already took her job and did them much better so she's left doing menial things
Why would she? She immediately humbled the Hulk..
So what are the odds that everything past the space ship bit and her exposure to Banners blood is all a LONG chain of hallucinations from Jen as she is dying from radiation poisoning?
And that is as far as I care for this show.
That’s now my personal head canon and the thought of that warms up my cold, dead heart…
While I usually hate those "it was all a dream" twists, that would be the one thing that could salvage the show.
That is fantastic story telling and would make all the unbelievers wretch in horror that they criticized it
Ahhh... the old "Indiana Jones gambit".
I’ve got to be honest…a deathbed delusion if grandeur fantasy is the only thing that could possible explain this bullshit
She had to wait for a tow truck? Instead of picking up her car and going home with it?
gotta keep the CGI to a bare minimum, they only have 10's of millions
She could have super jumped home 😂
Or super jumping back to the city…….

"We didn't know anything about writing court scenes" for our show about a female lawyer.
And something the show constantly reminds you of.
The problem isn't that. The problem is that they didn't research. Not only could they Google it, there are plenty of examples(other tv shows) they could have watch. What I would have done is laser focus on the rules needed for the episode, if it has to do with insurance. Research on how insurance cases are handled. They didn't try, not only did they try to wing it, they tried to avoid it.

When you realize johnny vs amber trial is more entertaining than she hulk: Attorney at law.
Well it actually had law in that.
Yes, and thanks to that trial thousands if not millions of people now know some of the basics of courtroom law. Which may be one reason She Hulk has been so poorly received, since lots of viewers are about to see how BS it is.
@@marychocolatefairy yes. Witnesses are coming and going at their own discretion 😂😂😂

The people who think that She Hulk is channeling Ally McBeal have clearly never seen an episode of Ally McBeal.
It's a long time since I've watched it - but I remember Ally McBeal (the character) being quite likeable. Or at least, not viscerally unlikeable.
Yeah, I watched quite a bit of Ally McBeal. Ally McBeal was funny, well written, well-acted with multiple likeable male and female characters. She-Hulk is none and has none of these things.
Hah! Spot on!
And neither have I
Man...was'nt Robert Downey Jr on that show for a while?

This is really gonna piss you off but in the comics Jen became a lawyer after her mother was murdered (she was in the wrong place at the wrong time). She wanted to see the man that took her mom away behind bars and naturally worked hard to get her law degree. Thunderball of the Wrecking Crew was a black dude in the comics, think this is the first white washing disney's done in Marvel.
Titania was born premature and was bullied throughout school for her small size. Through a series of events her and her friend got in good with Doctor Doom who game them both powers. Even with her super strength she still had confidence issues for awhile. At one point she developed cancer but was able to fight it off. Just so you have a bit of context on how badly these these characters have been bastardized.
This is more back story than the shows writers knew about these character
Yeah and in the comics Jen becomes She-Hulk because she was shot and Banner had to give her a blood transfusion, which is a much better origin story. But god forbid we have a man save a woman's life in this day and age
Imagine if they gave us all this in one episode? They did this with some of the most loved characters in their origin story movie. They did it with Steve Rogers. When you hear the phrase “I can do this all day” - you know where it’s from. They did this with Peter Quill. People would be super sympathetic to this character but Marvel has forgotten this very important part of the writing a hero’s arc. They just swing towards making the character insufferable without giving us any reason and expect us to relate with the character? Impossible!
No one cares

You can really see the influence this writer had on Rick and Morty. She wrote the worst parts of the Pickle Rick episode where all the comedy ceased and a woman (Susan Sarandon, lol) just lectured RIck on his toxic masculinity for like 2 minutes straight.
Damn, you're right
That therapist asks Rick to think introspectively, without forming any conclusions, and talks about how hum drum it is to do routine things like wiping your ass, and that there's no inherent reward in it... What did you get out of it?
@@tuxxyy1 wait? No inherent reward??? I think the negative effects that result in not doing so obviously negate that as a reasoned premise since preventing bad things from occurring is a reward even if it leads to a simple status-quo.
But since the same writer as she hulk was involved I gather she didn't think that through.
So that's who was responsible for the shit ending. I remember after all the pickle Rick hype died down I eventually got to that episode and thought "This is what all the excitement was about? That was pretty anticlimactic. Especially for a Rick and Morty episode.
The therapist scenes were hilarious because she was almost the perfect therapist, and we all know that the real problem people are just going to blow it all off. They had the perfect opportunity and all the warnings but don't act because that's what MAKES them the problem. And being the problem, they can't even see it or don't care.
They probably won't do it, but yah know someone in the writer's room pitched the idea of She-Hulk and Abomination hooking up so they could show a "toxic" relationship.
I'm honestly surprised they didn't twist She-Hulk into a shitty period joke. I guess there is such a thing as too juvenile for these people.

Anyone whose seen Orphan Black or HBO's Perry Mason knows Tatiana Maslany is a darn good actress. But even the greatest performer in the world couldn't translate this execrable writing into a decent show.
She’s amazing. Orphan black was an incredible acting performance.
Yeah she is good
Notice that
Mark ruffalo defend the show and called fan toxic she don't
The end credits actually show her in court, even though there has been 3 minutes total of her there in the entire show
😂😂. Bad writing
Well, she's "lawyer of the year material" even though it's been exposed she doesn't understand law first year law students do.
I know but... writing court room lawyer stuff is, like, *super* hard. 😕
Watch 12 Angry Men if you want a good legal drama as well as a good film to cure She Hulk's lack of quality.
In Orphan black she plays 4 main characters ( and a bunch of others)
But the amazing thing is that she was able to play one of these impersonating another one and you could still know which one it was. Genius acting.
That’s impressive
Quite easy if you're demon possessed.
Jen used her phone whilst driving this episode, she's a lawyer that rarely follows the law.
This is the absolute definition of "chewing gum for the eyes." They know they have your subscription money already, they know that the Marvel name automatically guarantees viewers, they know they can get away with shoving filler onscreen to tide people over til the next show...rinse and repeat. The really sad thing is, you have plenty of couch potatoes who will happily watch things just for the sake of something being on their TV. They've already paid their subscription fee so it's not like they need to pay any more for this crap. They just watch anything put in front of them. Then you have the Marvel FOMO crowd who think that you need to watch everything to understand everything so again Disney knows they can give them 9 weeks worth of shit and get away with it.
best comment here.
i'd like to add one more thing: the group of people who watch to fit in because they're SO used to crap, that crap with something new (like a green woman) is sparkly.
To me, it's similar to people wanting newer cars, phones, laptops, and furniture even though the current items are just fine and not broken: brainwashed into thinking "I gotta have it."
"It's the new Marvel thing, I gotta watch it."
@@slchance8839 I feel like it’s not even a new thing, either. I’m shocked at the people that knew the true marvel comics while growing up, only to settle for the current garbage being put in front of them. So depressing.
Busywork in media form. No purpose, no reason. Mindless white noise that you consume just to kill time.
If you've ever read Seneca's "The Pumpkification of Claudius" and it gets to the part where Hades and others are deciding what eternal punishment he should receive, maybe the ultimate punishment would be to make someone watch She Hulk over and over. Sisyphus would sigh in relief at only pushing a boulder up a hill for eternity.
Every episode is a self insert of the writers
Tatiana Maslany in Orphan Black proved she can definitely act when not trapped in a trainwreck
Based on an interview with her and the writers of She Hulk, she seems to really like the message this show is pushing.
She's a terrible actor and human with her woke pandering.
@@ironmatto3 if youre calling her a terrible actress you clearly havent seen orphan black.
@@freshgyoza7204 true. Many people dislike a statement and as a result make terrible judgements about the performance. That is such a childish behavior. You always need to seperate the art from the artist and judge the art on its own merits.
I have to agree, the show is bad due to the story and dialogue, but the acting is not terrible.
Wait.... are you sure the writers didn't just screen their own therapy session, then tinted one of themselves green since they forgot to write ep7 instead?
That would save them money.
On today’s episode of She-Hulk: Jen drives me to drink away my pain
Tatiana M was a phenomenon in Orphan Black. Such a pity she ended up here.
Have you seen Orphan Black? She goes all out in that, she's actually a fantastic actress.
So what. She's shit in this shit show. The end.
Yes, she is a wonderful actress if the script is right. For now, I guess she's just collecting the paycheck.
One of the biggest travesties is she’s phenomenal at playing different personas and in Orphan Black she convincingly plays like 8 different people, so she could have done a great job at playing Jennifer Walters and She-Hulk with wildly different personalities just like in the comic but the writers aren’t interested in writing either Jen or She-Hulk as anything but self-inserts so that skill is wasted.
@Robert Monroe Firing diverse women in Hollywood? 🤣🤣🤣 #protected
@Robert Monroe He cares about being Marvel being seen to be woke, that's it. The results since Infinity Saga speak for themselves. Fuck everything woke. The end.

Unfortunately, the writers don't even have an idea how to convey the idea of a lawyer or court room. So I wouldn't get my hopes up for Daredevil.

did they write this in a fuckin hour???????
Wrong thread
The episode that screams Doc Samson is needed. He isn't brought back.
Excellent point about checking on Abomination. You don't send a parole office and lawyer to check on him if you think he's doing something he's not supposed to be doing. You send SHIELD and any Avengers you can round up. That's what you'd do if this were a superhero show, but it's now it's a "comedy" with a Marvel IP's name stapled to it so Disney+ can sell the pathetic lives of sad, lonely, miserable middle aged female Hollywood script writers to the masses.
Orphan Black would be your go-to for a better sample of Tatiana's range. Haven't caught up since season 3, so no promises beyond, but s1 and 2 I recall being pretty competent in performances and writing. If you're not bought in after 3-4 eps, find a compilation of her from there onward. Don't want to say more specifically than that, and it will be self-explanatory once you see ep1. Definitely not for everyone (uncertain if that includes myself hah), but I can see why she was scouted for what it seems they wanted Sh-ulk to be.
Drinker, I salute your trial of endurance. It reminds me of when I went to a Con a number of years ago and re-watched a VHS copy of the Star Wars Holiday Special they were showing (a friend of mine who loved all things Star Wars had never seen it). It was every bit as shite as I remembered from when I watched it on TV as a kid, but I was determined to endure the whole thing. I think I died a little bit on the inside that day... I've already given up on She-Hulk--your updates are more entertaining than the show itself.
Tim Roth's performances in Reservoir & Rob Roy were absolutely brilliant. I'll never see this She Hulk show, but I'm kinda sad he's part of it tbh.
He’s one of the best things. Otherwise, it’s a painful 20 minutes but I’m trying to earn my Angel wings and his has sent Shulk to test my faith 😂 😊
I agree. This one takes the cake. I truly don’t know how they manage to make each episode worse! I didn’t think they could get worse. They constantly prove me wrong lol
The timing on that belch was perfect.
"She has to learn that Jen is likeable"
Oh my god.....
The prediction that Drinker and his friends made on episode one is coming true.
I have to give Tim Roth a lot of credit. Even when he's phoning it in, he acts circles around the rest of the cast. I hope he got paid VERY well.
Sigh. 2008: The Incredible Hulk. Blonsky (pre-Abomination) stares down the Hulk and says, "Is that the best you can do?" 2022: She-Hulk Attorney at Law. Blonsky is running a hippie retreat with Bull-Man and Porcupine-Man.

You said this show was a therapy session for the writers. I didn’t know it would literally become one Lmfao 😂
It just keeps getting worse and worse
And of course the decent male character turns out to be working with the “villains”
I say villains in quotations because we know nothing about them because they came out of nowhere
I can't even bring myself to watch trailers for this after the first one, much less an episode. It sounds like a show that melissa McCarthy and amy schumer came up with as a therapy project

She Hulk makes Batwoman look like Breaking Bad by comparison
That's cold blooded. I can't debate that but ouch.
I think the fact that everyone hates the she hulk character is because Tatiana is a great actress and can convey the shit writing perfectly. Doing the lords work by exposing these shit "woke" writers.
If you want to see Tatiana at her best I can't recommend the first few seasons of orphan black enough. She pulls of half a dozen separate and unique characters at once.
I applaud how you’re trying to make sense of this. You tried, you tried, my friend.
I once met She-Hulk (The Real One) during Marvel Vs Capcom 3. She was Strong, Confident, and Beautiful, both in body, and in heart.
This fool's gold copy of the character, as with most of the current MCU, is just a shell of her former self. Nothing that made She Hulk an interesting character has Been used here. She's just some single middle aged woman who happens to turn Green when the Snapchat filter is turned on.
What MvC characters did She Hulk play?
@@O1OO1O1 Well, she tended to work with her Cousin, Bruce, and Mayor of Metro City, Haggar. Though, she would sometimes work with Ghost Rider, as they did share a Fantastic Four outfit.
Tim Roth is in some absolute masterpieces like Reservoir Dogs, Hateful Eight and Pulp Fiction. It’s a shame he’s in perhaps the worst tv show ever.
I appreciate the fact that they addressed her flaws (some of them). Credit where credit's due.
Why would Blonsky's Parole Officer think that She-Hulk is anywhere near the power/strength level of the Abomination? She is like 1/4th his size. Abomination should be able to easily demolish her in seconds if he has gone rogue. Also why would Jen, a person trained as a lawyer, a person trained to question people and analyze arguments and so on, not ask more questions to that "Wrecker" guy? Like why not ask why he and his group wanted her blood? And who was he working for?
Watching Ep7 reminded me of watching Rock Me Amadeus & the Winter Soldier, the closer it got to the finale the more I kept thinking every episode "now I'm sure it will really pick up the pace because nothing happened yet and the show is almost over" and then it's another episode and again nothing happened. So yeah from my Falco & Bucky experience I'll say nothing will happen in Ep8 either, and nothing much will happen in Ep9 except a CGI fight as a substitute for a conclusion, tons of set-ups for other stuff at the end, and tons of unanswered questions.
Love to see another vid from the drunkard

Sounds like you haven't seen Orphan Black where Maslany plays multiple clones that are completely different from one another. She is an excellent actor which is why I refuse to watch this show. Same with Roth. An example of actors doing shit shows for the big paycheck to fund doing quality.
I agree that House is the dragon has gotten really good, as of the last episode. Before that I was more underwhelmed by it than just about everyone. I didn't care about a single character and I didn't care about what they were doing. Now? I still don't care about anyone, but a few have suddenly become far more interesting. I still don't really care about what they're doing, but things are getting interesting.
I cringed the whole time during episode 2 and couldn’t continue watching
@@andrewamirzadeh7678 I don't remember episode 2 itself, I only started watching it late last week. I basically watched all the episodes they had on Friday and Saturday, then watched the recent one Sunday, so they all blur together. I have no trouble believing what you're saying though.
Everyone had been right. The sets, dialog and writing, acting, casting, etc were all excellent, just underwhelming. I still have a hard time with the Velaryons being black with silver hair. Not because I have a problem with having black characters, but using them to portray family that are basically like the targaryens: fair skinned with gold to silver hair. It's like telling a story about Scandinavian or Norwegian vikings and making them all Brazilian or Korean, what you see clearly doesn't make sense. There were so many other peoples from Essos they could have used, like Summer Islanders who all have the sub-Saharan characteristics. It's not a big deal, I like the characters and the actors are doing well in the roles, it's just an unnecessary move.
Im just not getting drawn in to the show in a way that even comes close to being comparable with how GOT did. I've read the book series several times through and to be honest, anything to do with the targaryens didn't interest me in the slightest. They still don't. I was bummed when I heard they shelved doing the first spinoff on the original Long Night, that's what I was most interested in. I can understand why they did it, being so close to the ended GOT and with the bad blood that came from how they allowed D&D basically render everything that happened in the first 6 seasons irrelevant by the way they ended it, they probably thought some trust needed to be regained first. Still, I honestly could care less about Targaryens. Which is probably why I'm unimpressed.
Thank you Drinker for going through this dumpster fire for us, i can't even bring myself to watch that atrocity
Episode 7 - Jen looks at her phone.
Thanks to the Drinker, I actually look forward to new episodes of She-Hulk coming out!
You hit it on the nail weeks ago when you said. It's SEX IN THE CITY with powers. Would have been so much better if it was more like Deadpool.
My biggest annoyance with the episode was when her car got "destroyed" she bitched about having to stay and wait for a towtruck, when all she had to do was hulk out, pick up her car and jump to a garage. Did she forget that she's a hulk and has that ability or what?
It's cheaper not to do that.
.
Every episode it's like the name of the episodes on Friends, "then one with" "the one where", and that's the whole show.
Jen has a car crash, Jen gets fired, Jen gets a job, Jen buys a suit, Jen goes on dates, and Jen goes to therapy. When is She-hulk ACTUALLY going to do SOMETHING??
Tatiana was fantastic in Orphan Black. Even Brie Larsen is capable of stellar performances (i.e. "Room"). The ineptitude of these writers can't be overstated.

Drinker, you should 100% give Orphan Black a try, Tatiana Maslany was my favourite actress for awhile because of it. She's phenomenal, and Disney has wasted her talent.
Even The Mask wanted to "work for world peace!....but first...". Jen just wants to help herself.
the sacrifices you make Godspeed
Why the hell would her truck being totalled keep her stuck somewhere? The Hulk has been shown to be able to leap HUGE distances, and she's "better" than the Hulk, so she should have no problem getting out of there
For a lawyer who works for a busy firm, she sure has a lot of free time.
Tatiana Maslany is a good enough actor that she can play different clones that all have the same face and body but different personalities believably in the show Orphan Black
I always watch she hulk first then my day can only get better.
I just realized... Is She-Hulk a Super Villain origin story?
She isn't heroic at all herself (outside of that cringe retcon origin story where she rescues Bruce from the car wreck). She actively says she doesnt want to be a hero, she only ever is one... reluctantly. She is COMPLETELY self-centered.
She lives in a delusional world where almost every man is an absurd stereotype of a douchebag, and everyone else has to inflate her ego. You know how villains always think they are the good guy due their warped perspective?
Seriously... I could 100% believe there could be a twist where she got brain damage in that car crash, and ever sense... her mind twists what she see's in reality. Episode 1, the guys at the club? She killed them, was capture by bruce, broke free and came back to try and relive her old life. All the way down to this last episode where she is literally at a gather of super villains, and thinks shes the only 'hero' there. Even the 4th wall break could be explained by her brain damage.
This is a theory that could use more fleshing out, but... it could improve this series a ton!
06:38 😂😂😂😂😂 oh my fucking lord... That's the show right there
