I decided to do a weekly video of my violin practice instead of waiting another year to post my progress, because why not! (Although I'll do that anyway lol)

Hi there! I'm a (young) violinist, although I've been playing for much longer than you lmao. You are making great progress for only starting last year! A bit of helpful advice would be to play passages you are unsure about slowly first. When playing slower than the actual tempo, you can focus more on the notes, dynamics and other details until you are confident. Then, gradually increase your speed until you are at the actual tempo of the piece! I find this really helps when practicing, and leads to much better results than staying at the same tempo all the time. Also, try not to worry if you make a mistake, we all do it! Even the most virtuosic and professional violinists make mistakes! As long as you identify what the mistake was, and correct it, you will improve massively! Hope this comment helps, and once again, you're doing amazing! :D 🎻🙌🏾

hi! thank you for your tip! yeah switching between scales is a bit messy for my brain right now so I will focus on that more (and one thing at a time ahah)!
