- Is it Argus? Is it the ruins of an alternate Draenor? Is it something else entirely? Today we explore a map which was added right at the beginning of the Legion Alpha, but after that nothing was ever done to it again. This is "Legion Dungeon". Enjoy!

It makes me so fucking sad that hayven will never witness argus and the defead of the legion... I miss him so much :(
I like to think he is locked in the eternal battle to save Azeroth and may return to us someday, the true Hero of Azeroth.
I strongly believe that when our bodies pass on, our spirits are freed from our vessels. I believe in heaven, but perhaps for others their spirit will have no boundaries. Perhaps Hayven is hanging out and experiencing everything regardless 😄

The moment that I first saw the name "Seat of the Triumvirate" .. I immediately thought of this video.

I'm almost certain this was an extremely early version of Mac'aree
I was thinking of this too. Know I’m late and all but I think this would’ve been the flying skybox of the broken up city. Seat of the triumvirate was used as a legion dungeon instead. Makes total sense. Sad we didn’t get to see this though, Mac’aree is beautiful and I would’ve loved to see more.

There are multiple possibilities of what this dungeon could have been:
1. An End Time sort of dungeon, showing what would be if the Legion won, thus the Dark Portal being collapsed
2. Same as number 1 however it could have been Outland
3. AU Draenor, a thing worth noting is that AU Draenor is also 30ish years in the past, this dungeon could have been caught up AU Draenor, where the Legion attacked again in the 30 years and won, thus Draenei buildings and the Dark Portal. In that case, the Bronze Dragons would maybe help us with this, maybe the Legion trying to invade from Draenor
4. The most likely answer, an extremely early version of Argus

The moment I saw the Draenei building I wanted to scream "ARGUS IS THAT YOU!?"
It could also be a Caverns of Time-style dungeon, since it has uncorrupted part (that could also be just a placeholder).

Valen did say something about going home, right...? I hope this map gets used because it looks pretty nifty.
Maybe in the last raid we will be stepping through the Tomb of Sargeras' portal into Argus and assaulting Mac'aree to rescue Turalyon or help the Army of the Light. Who knows if it even becomes a world quest area before they open the raid... or it might just be another idea they had for DH starting area?
Arraya don't think as a starting area but i really like the idea of another zone outside of the broken isles. Maybe a portal in Dalaran to an outpost on cliff or something where you start quest chain wich Leads to you going in to the dungeon/raid and doing things! Would be great!!!

A long time ago on Legion ptr there was a bug where you could type a command to teleport to any coordinates on the map. It was so fun to play around with. Someone shared in trade chat the coordinates to this place and it was so cool to explore there. Never knew you made a video on it and it was an unused "Legion Dungeon"
I believe, considering the heavy fel-infestation and the draenei ruins, that this could have been a world where the Draenei once lived on before they had to flee again because the Burning Legion found them. Maybe it was intended to be part of class campaigns/connected to the story (after all Legion has very strong sci-fi aspects with spaceships and already many different worlds which we visit) but was scraped possibly because of changes (after all it was the beginning of the alpha).

Imagine a caverns of time dungeon. Just like the well of eternity where we turn into elves. But this time we are Draenei and we have to evacuate! That would be such a badass dungeon.
Carlos Rincones Yea that would be awesome. But i dont think its what this dungeon would have been about. The world looks way to destroyed. It looks like the draenei are already long gone and thats whats left after the legion attacked. It wouldve been awesome to see because we would get a look what our planet could look like if we dont stop the Legion.

This is likely an 'alpha' version of the 7.3 Argus Raid.
Yet another of your amazing videos that only you could deliver in such a good way, rest in peace Hayven we will always remember you.
Maybe Argus was originally just going to be a single dungeon before they expanded the idea into a fully fledged level 110 zone? This feels like we were supposed to visit Mac'aree (the big draenei building here) and fight some big boss there.

In the light's heart scenario, after killing the butcher. Velen has a lot of dialogue hinting at taking the fight to argus. This might be what they found if they traveled there. People might miss this due to velen taking a large break before saying the speech to his Draenei forces
Looks like they were going to make an Argus dungeon/raid or something for a preview..
Given what Velen says, maybe it is the early workings of Argus to come in a later patch.

the skybox reminds me something from the twisted nether glimpses we get. This is really interesting. Thanks for showing us "what could have been" or "what might be in the future" type of things! It really shows what direction they were taking and how they changed it or improved upon it. This helps us understand the vision the devs/creators had. This could've been a dungeon for the thaldranath zone..
This looks like it could of been a caverns of time dungeon where we see the shattering of Draenor into Outland.
That was also my first thought after I saw the floating parts of the "Land". It is like it was described in the Book "Beyond the Dark Portal"... Draenor shattered and was torn apart by the Evil Magic that was casted from Karabor by Nerzhul...

I think this could have been a corrupted Caverns of Time or we go through the Caverns of Time to get to Argus' ruination. But the thing is, there is a heavy presence with the Vale of Eternal Blossoms with the color of ground and stuff that isn't the fel, I know it isn't Talador or even alpha Talador
bononoz2 vale of eternal blossoms more wise is being repaired from yshaarjs corruption cos when we killed garrosh we destroyed the old gods heart and lore wise the story of vale of eternal blossoms is done and will take a few thousand years to heal but will heal. If u complete soo u will see that emperor shahao plants a tree which initialises the healing of the land.
As of WoD the vale is healed, Lorewalker Cho confirms it in his garrison dungeon mission.

That's actually the feeling I got. This entire dungeon screams argus. Especially with it's own portal and everything.

It might be Argus but it could be a dungeon to explain us coming back from Alt Draenor.
Argus is the first thing that came to mind. Like a pre dungeon to a raid. Or the ruination of a part of AU Draenor. This map looks awesome and I hope they use it at some point.

This place seems fitting for some kind of introduction to Argus, however some stuff in the landscape makes me think of Hellfire/Tanaan. It could have been as well just another world destroyed by the legion, OR an alternate version of Talador where the Legion won, kinda like the places in the Emerald Dream where they places are twisted versions of the real ones.

I think this could be Azuremyst Isle. We know Velen plans to take The Exodar and leave, but there could be a battle before that happens, if it does. The Exodar could be destroyed along with the neighboring settlements.

People are saying it's argus, but in my opinion, I think this dg was meant to be a lead-on to the expansion of Legion with the destruction of draenor, thus would also explain why they're not helping us during the burning legion invasion.
I'm sure all the fans would love to run through a dungeon with draenor being destroyed.
I was thinking the exact same thing, but the huge draenei presence somehow makes me think we are elsewhere, perhaps on Niskara or another ruined world they visited along the way
hell I think people would just be happy for Iron Dreanor to be destroyed
My theory behind this zone, by looking at how it contains grass from talador and buildings/tree's from it, my theory was that gul'dan had taken his time and decided to take revenge on the reality he once belonged to. Destroying the link to his past forever. While it is not our timeline, gul'dan having a planetary sized army be born from the draenei and the orcs would also explain why the heavy presence of eradar's and fel-sworn have popped up in legion, what I use to back up this theory is how gul'dan was actually able to find one of his shadow-council members and lead him to violet hold to attack it. That shadow-council member shouldn't even know how to get to our time-line, and looking at his skin, we can tell he is from draenor.
In all honesty, i'd like to see this be made.
Still with you on all that. But honestly I still find the terrain to have too many Draenei structures and not enough Orcish for Draenor. My guess would be that they didnt get to make a broken HFC or add orcish buildings or whatever their plan was. The Dark Portal and Throne of Kil'Jaeden twin rocks are a dead givaway
I think, that's creating of Outland, or.. Fall Of Draenor.
I can see there something like Hellfire & Talador in once and some parts of the Shadowmoon Valley, I think.. that's it.

My best guess is that it is either a piece of Argus OR one of the planets the Draenei hid on while on the run from the legion.
My guess, looking at the skybox, the mix of fel and draenai architecture, I'm guessing this might serve as an invasion point into Argus. Especially with Velen telling his people they're going home, it's a good location to consider.
maybe the unused map is some kind of vision quest like this is the current state of Argus, some notable buildings could just be placeholders. who knows we might see a completed version of this map in the future patch to come
I bet it could have been a scenario where the wod drenai would use the blasted lands as a settlement or something, but blizz for some reason made it a point saying we get no reinforcements from wod etc
I think it's possible, rather, that this map was supposed to be Alternate Dreanor, ravaged by the Legion sometime after the heroes of Azeroth returned home, not only to possibly rectify Blizzard's "mistake" of an expansion that was WOD, but also to further add to the sense of how vast and powerful the Legion truly is along with how hopeless fighting them seems to be.
That last bit with the waterfalls look amazing! Hope they've saved this or are still working on it.
Considering how much of the land is tilted, similar to Emerald Nightmare, my guess is this may be a testing designer ground, to see how it will end up.

I would not be surprised if they were thinking about using this as the outlands version of the Emerald Nightmare. I mean if Azeroth can have an Emerald Dream why could Outlands not? This looks like Hellfire/shadowmon valley from outlands. Would be pretty sweet if they used it for a CoT dung/raid but since we already have EN we do not need another of the same type in the same expansion.

Hmm... I don't think this dungeon was scrapped because it dose have a very similar setup to the new "Seat of the Triumvirate" dungeon in 7.3

This could be a part of Outland we never previously knew about , or a Argus dungeon although to me it feels caverns of time related

Perhaps a dungeon showing part of a planet the draenai stettled in to escape the Legion, until they were found and their base was destroyed?
looking how that broken portal is positioned, and considering the presence of Auchindoun and other Draenei structures, this may be a "what if the Legion completely swarmed on Draenor" scenary. Or pheraphs, the future of draenor itself, if people aren't able to stop the legion now and forever, probably it won't take over azeroth, but the arleady devasted draenor may fall...

Remember how blizzard said they wanted to replace Thal'dranath with a ''way cooler idea''. Well, perhaps it was originally supposed to be a part of the launch content but they decided to expand it into a patch. It seems like too much thought went into this for them to have decided not to do it.
I thought it could have been draenor AU for spit second, but then draenor AU only had one portal in the hellfire peninsula and we're never going back there. Argus is the only other option, Azeroth is not. OR, and now that I think about it it makes more sense, Ner'zhul did open multiple portals leading to the sundering. Now, I thought they were all in hellfire but who knows? So perhaps a caverns of time dungeon? Maybe they scrapped it though because we're sick of bronze dragon shenanigans?
OR maybe they scrapped the CoT idea in favour of giving us a glimpse of Argus. Remember the Illidan harbingers video ''We'll bring the fight to the legion's worlds!''
We have all this ilgynoth stuff, so maybe they just want to give us a taste of argus + we saw Azshara, so it's obvious what's next. Or maybe WoW is leading a direction none of us could have seen.
As others have said, it looks like the dungeon might be Argus. I can't help but think that Auchindoun model is maybe a placeholder for Mac'Aree

Odds are this was argus and was scrapped due to them wanting to expand its scope, or realizing that they had no content planned after 7.2 they scrapped it to expand it into another content patch.

Awww man that dungeon looks so cool... Although it wouldn't have made much sense lore wise to where this could be set - Could AU Draenor get super unstable after Archimonde sends Gul'dan to Azeroth? The remnants of AU Draenor people decided to open many random portals? I'd love to know what they were planning!
I tend to think this must have been Argus prototyping and that we are likely still going there. The scrapping of Thal to be replaced by "something cooler" and this vestigial map are some vague clues.
Still standing by this opinion. Even more so.
They might have intended on destroying Draenor with a massive legion invasion and we had to escape back to our world

The Dark portal and the Outland skies points very strongly at Draenor.
Don't get me wrong, I loved this, but I wouldn't look too much into this kinda stuff. They might just have it in the vault and it may become future content!
I have a theory on this unused map. What if this is some sort of early version Argus raid? That broken dark portal could be some sort of entrance to the raid from somewhere else. Maybe this was/is gonna be the final raid for Legion?

They should have made it a dungeon in the caverns of time that showed shadowmoon turning into the wreck it is now.
