    I shoot a VICTRIX ORB and definitely VICTRIX knows how to make 22LR. The VENUS is perfect for PRS and the ORB is the best 22LR for ELR22 . Accuraccy, ELR features , TACOM Charlie mount, Rear Adjustable bag rider, very high V0 and fast cycling 10 round magazine, for shooting in the wind at 600yards. And about price: just add, what making a custom rifle would cost and how much time it will take...... and add the possibility of mismatch of parts that will need adjustment and upgrades.( been there done that) . After you do your own calculations... you will see that the VICTRIX is actually a very good and reasonable investment. Your will get a rifle that is second to none from day 1 and start enyoing it.

      Yes the Victrix Orb is a nice choice for ELR. I’ve not yet had a chance to shoot it, but it’s got great features.
      Thanks for the feedback. Yes the costs of individual component parts for different manufacturers would cost a little more and the time to build and set up would also be considerable. I do think the Victrix is exceptional value for money for the competitive shooter.

    Awesome rifle!
    It would be really nice to know where the balance point (center of gravity) is, expressed as the distance from the barricade stop.

    • @JonCresswellUk
      @JonCresswellUk  Před 6 dny +1

      Thank you. You can change the balance point depending on where you place weights and bipod etc. I’ll have a look at mine and will get back to you.

    • @JonCresswellUk
      @JonCresswellUk  Před 5 dny +2

      I measured the balance point at 6.5cm in from of the barricade stop on my rifle with the bipod fitted. Using additional foreend weights would move this if needed.

      @OshoRamseyGump where would you normally have the balance point?

    • @OshoRamseyGump
      @OshoRamseyGump Před 5 dny +1

      @@JonCresswellUk Ideally, half the length of your Gamechanger bag.
      So 9 cm or so. This way, the rifle balances on a thin prop, such as a thin board.

    is there a USA dealer for Victrix?

    Chassis lenght of pull alone will disqualify it for most people , its longer than any other chassis by some margin, having scope on XXL high mount does not help author's credibility.

    • @JonCresswellUk
      @JonCresswellUk  Před 5 dny +1

      Hi, thanks for the feedback.
      The Venus pro has a length of pull from 35.2cm to 37.1cm (as measured on my rifle). Standard length of pull for rifles is approximately 34cm, so the Venus chassis is only slightly longer than standard in length of pull.
      Agreed, I could have opted for the 34mm high mount instead of the 48mm high mount. I couldn’t go any lower than that otherwise my scope wouldn’t clear the foreend picatinny rail - this was a bit of a miscalculation on my behalf and I agree that it is slightly high for my rifle. I do tend to shoot keeping my head more upright as opposed to the traditional high cheek weld. It works for me, but point taken. Thanks.

      @Mr.T-SI Před 5 dny +1

      @@JonCresswellUk IF you look at competition like MDT they go 31-37cm ,in PRS we are going shorter all the time as unlike conventional rifles you shoot much more squared to the target .We compared them to MDT and its just to long for many , i guess Victrix will change that buttstock sooner than later.

    • @JonCresswellUk
      @JonCresswellUk  Před 4 dny

      @Mr.T-SI thanks. In comparison to that chassis you are right, it is longer with less adjustment in the length of pull. I will feed this back to Victrix. Thanks for taking the time to share your comments with me, I appreciate it.

    those mounts are way too high

    • @OwlsAndChickens
      @OwlsAndChickens Před 6 dny +1

      No doubt, I was expecting a crazy amount of MOA with all the height, and it is only 20. Also wondering why one would put a pic rail on an arca rail chassis?!?

    • @JonCresswellUk
      @JonCresswellUk  Před 5 dny +1

      @OwlsAndChickens I explained the mount height and the reason for the pic rail in the video 👍. You could easily fit the medium mount (#3438) I wanted to have clearance of the enclosed foreend. The pic rail is for my bipod as it’s not an arca bipod.

    • @JonCresswellUk
      @JonCresswellUk  Před 5 dny +1

      The mounts come in a range of heights - this is the one I picked 👍. Yes I could have fitted a lower mount.
