Unless you include the price of these guns, this video is worthless. A 3k rifle might be better than a $200 rifle, but duh. We are not all millionaires. Give us info we can use. Sorry if this video got me cranky. I’m looking for a rifle for competition, but I don’t want to end up living under a bridge with my newly acquired match rifle.

I have the savage and I agree, it is surprisingly accurate and absolutely worth the money. I tuned it up with a heavier Boyd stock to improve the overall appearance. Only thing that I don’t like about it is the crappy magazines, appearing as if they’ve made it from empty bean cans.

Been running a Savage Mk.2 for a while now. Did some DIY modifications and it's wicked accurate with CCI Standard Velocity 40gr. Best 100yd. group was under 1 MOA

Ok, but is that indicative of what it does consistently? My bergara b14r with the lot of sk std + I've got shot a ~.4 5 round group at 100... But that was one time, it also shot a 1.4 but 95% of the time it's ~1 moa @100 (.8-1.2) for any kind of statistically significant dataset (10 3 Rd groups or 5-7 5 Rd groups 3 10s 1x 30 etc)
In my testing std is prone to fliers ~ 2-3/10 with ~ 1/30 way off @100 2 ish moa from the rest of the group. It's great with 90% going into 1.6 ish moa for a very low cost though.

I have the Lithgow LA101 .22lr with the timber stock and using SK Rifle Match ammo, I regularly come home from my local competition with mostly gold medals and if not gold silver in the hunter class. Two weeks ago, I our scored the target rifles that cost 5 0r 6 times as much. The best target rifle scored 250 out of 250 with 10 centers. I scored 250 out of 250 with 11 centers. It was my best score yet. It is not the first time I have outscored the target rifles. That little Lithgow makes me look good. I live just 300 km (187 mile) from where the Lithgow is made at Lithgow New South Wales, Australia.

I have four of the guns you mentioned. I would like you to replace the Ruger Precision with the Vorquartsen. I have shot both and the Vorquartsen is by for the better rifle. It is similar to the Kidd. I have both. Some where on your list should be the Bergara. It is very similar to the CZ 457 Varmint MTR, I have both.

I have the Ruger precision rim fire with a can. Leupold rim fire scope. It shoots good groups. I’m interested in getting a sub 1 pound trigger in the future.

I'm stuck with a Ruger M77/22 Varmint I bought new when they first came out. Yeah, I know, not the greatest, but it has always shot well. However, I installed the bolt shims, sear and springs available for these rifles, and the results were most gratifying...finally a trigger that could be called "really good" but not adjustable. Using an old Leupold 2.5-8 Vari III, the thing will do .250" at 25 yards with cheap ammo and that's with 75 year old eyeballs. Evidently these rifles (especially the Varmint model) can bring some "green", so I will just stay with it. If it does .50 at 50 yards as indicated by the .25 at 25 yards, it is as good as I will ever need.

The best improvement to the .22 rimfire would be better, cleaner shooting ammunition. The current powders used are as nasty and dirty as blackpowder! The residue would never be acceptable by centerfire shooters.

Ruger RPR produces QUARTER size groups at 50 yards?! That performance is a far cry from precision. Hopefully this guy just misspoke because my Savage Precision .22WMR will take Ruger's lunch money if he is correct in his reporting.

Why are you calling these firearms "weapons" ? They're used in sporting competition shooting paper targets. "Weapons" are used in shooting at humans in defense situations. Firearms are used for sporting events.
