They treated you as an adult, which is the highest compliment you can get. I hope you go back on the show as many times as it takes to fool them! I want to see that!
This by 💯.
That girl is going places in magic and her other art forms.
She should chat with Helen Coghlan and come up with something that breaks their brains 😂
@@lifesbutastumble I agree 100%! Helen Coghlan has 6 FU trophies. It would be amazing!
That was the first time I think in fool us history that an act got a standing ovation from every single person in the audience , including penn and teller.
You're dumb. The act didn't get a standing ovation from anyone. Penn turned around and did a violent arm gesture that manipulated everyone into standing up and cheering like idiots. That was the real magic. One guy in a suit controlling hundreds of homeless people.
Notice that Penn motioned the audience to stand. Well deserved.
You just did one of the bravest things a magician can do: you explained the trick up front, and then used that to give the audience a false sense of confidence before playing the real trick. That used to be forbidden in the magic world, and that’s the tactic that got Penn and Teller originally branded as “the bad boys of magic”. And you did all that, performing for _them_
Keep up the good work!
That's about what I was going to say.
I would say that the high praise from Penn and Teller at the end was better than any trophy. That was awesome!
Couldn't be more agreeable 👍
Penn asking the audience to give you a standing ovation speaks volumes about the respect he had for you. Great way to announce yourself to the world! Congrats, and God bless you!!
I started to cry there... that was so beautiful and show alot of respect...
@@nielshenriksen1043 It's them Onion ninjas. I think they're on Penn's payroll.
I am glad they respected you enough to not pretend they were fooled as seasoned professional magicians.
I was not "fooled", I am old enough to have seen most of this trick many, many times.
However, your stage banter and the twist at the end were entertaining and unexpected.
Hold your head high, you did yourself proud.
First standing ovation on all the years of the show! Congratulations Rachel! Greetings from Mexico!
I didn't even reach the trick and I was impressed. Your confidence is WONDERFUL for someone of ANY age... To hear your story of where you began to where you are now is inspiring.
Rachel, Penn’s public “future of magic” testimonial and the standing ovation together are the best award possible. Way better than the trophy, which I expect you will pick up next time. Congratulations, you are the big winner!
Made me cry as I get being a 11yr old and thinking you can beat the season masters and I get the heartbreak at the “no you didn’t” but the respect they gave her is far beyond a trophy and i fully get that feeling but was so nicely done …. I’m gonna go cry in a corner now
Did you notice the tear running down her cheek?
Speaking as a 34 year old amateur magician, I know that card trick. You added something to it I haven't seen. You may not have fooled them, but you fooled the absolute shit out of me.I look forward to buying a ticket to your show in a few years.
Insane levels of charisma and personality here. There's a future in any career for Rachel. She's a joy to watch.
We witnessed the start of the career of an awesome magician. Being honest to you that you didn't fool them and treating you as an adult is by far the higher compliment as getting that trophy. I'm sure one day you will get it. 🍀👍🏻
*I remember when I was 11, I could barely even do a homework presentation, publicly speaking in front a class of 25 students. But here she is, doing magic, speaking so eloquently, in front of an entire crowd and 2 magician legends... Just amazing.*
You’d make a phenomenal speech teacher. So many people are apprehensive when speaking in public. Overcoming your fears at such a young age is an amazing accomplishment in and of itself..
Great magician and stage presence..
Much success with all you may do in life!
For the first time watching this show brought tears to my eyes
I am 63 years old, but I too did this trick when I was in junior high school before the entire school. While I did indeed fool the kids back then, none of them were Penn and Teller. I wish I had done it as masterfully and as brilliantly as you did. The quick change was spectacular, by the way.
What an amazing magician. Unbelievable how confident and skilful she is. What a future she has. Lovely to see the standing ovation!
Young lady, may you entertain and bring joy to the world for years to come. This was spectacular!
The standing ovation made the deal! Congratulations, Rachel. Way to go!!!
It's uncommon to fool Penn & Teller. But it's truly rare to earn their respect. Congratulations and, well done.
I'm 13 and absolutely respect you for being at Penn and Teller with 11 years! Thank you in the name of all young magicians!
To pull that off so smoothly with one of the world's most inventive magicians standing right beside you took courage. You're great performer and I agree with Penn, you have a great future ahead of you.
The REAL magic is the warm personality and beautiful smile of this truly amazing human being!
RACHEL LING GORDON never lose that magic!❤
The magic aside, I give you a standing ovation for battling selective mutism. What an inspiration you are Rachel! People have no idea what kind of ordeal it is to go up against anxiety of that magnitude. And to then go up on a stage, in front of a huge audience and cameras… and Penn & Teller.
That’s the real magic here ❤️❤️
This is one of the best performance on P&TFU I have ever seen! I was literally hooked up till the end of the performance! The crisp in her voice and that big cute smile really made it entertaining to watch. I really love it ♥
Rachel, I hope you're checking back in on the comments. You don't need anyone's approval via compliments, but you have certainly earned it! You are a talented girl who has clearly made a consistent effort to always improve. Musician, actor, magician, student, and more...you are living life! Thank you for bringing a large smile with your outstanding performance!
You may not have fooled them, but you impressed them, and got the highest, and well deserved praises. Well done.
As a former teacher, I can tell you this is a girl who has become an expert at practicing. Practicing endlessly, and remembering the improvements from that practicing. She now can do absolutely anything she wants. Just amazing. *EDIT:* I just realized this is Rachel's channel, not the Fool Me channel. Kiddo, I envy the amazing head start you have in life... skills translate, so I'm looking forward to seeing all the amazing things you do!
WOW Rachel Sure Fooled ME!!🤩 Thanks Gal!!🥰
I love how sweetly she drinks up all that love and appreciation she got from the entire audience there.. I sincerely pray she succeeds in whatever she does in life and still maintains that purity of heart that enjoys seeing people's faces light up seeing her magic.. 👏👏👏👏👏
She is truly great magician.. Amazing ❤
Even amidst her tears, she continued smiling. What a professional she already is!! Lots of respect for her❤
That quick change was so awesome. Teller was genuinely shocked. Love this act!
I have no words to express how much joy this entire video brought me. You are awesome, please never stop doing magic.
Rachel I know you wanted that trophy I did also. But what you did get was the respect and admiration of everyone who watched you perform your magic. You were brilliant and had such incredible stage presence. You will come back and fool them of that I am sure of.
A wonderful performance, and frankly I did not see that end coming. Beautiful, thank you for that joy!
You can tell how emotional it was for you when they did the standing ovation. Keep chasing your dreams and thanks for sharing with the world! 🙏🚀
You earned their respect, and that's high praise from these two! Well done! It was delightful to see you work! And you're right, I made assumptions about the card that weren't warranted.
That was actually very well done. Imagine another 11 years of practice and learning? She’s on track to be one of the greats. Good luck!
Its an honor to witness future of magic and magical smiles
God bless you and family
I absolutely LOVED your spin on this old classic (pardon the pun). Such an amazing & CREATIVE finale!! Good luck with your future in magic Rachel & I can hardly wait to see what's next! 😉Bravo!!!
That was an incredibly nice performance!
That performance was perfect.
You are simply amazing young lady ! Don’t ever look back what a brave thing you just did ! In my opinion you deserved the trophy ! 🏆
Rachel I agree with what Penn said in his opening remarks! You are such a poised, bright, and confident girl! I’m sure you’ll go far just keep at and you will fool them.. to their great pleasure
What made this performance stand out was that brilliant ending. It came out of the air! I didn't expect it because I was looking right at it and didn't see it until she revealed it.
Add to it the fact that she looks like a China doll, is totally charming and in control of herself (AND the audience), and indeed you do have the future of magic.
Her tears at the end were the perfect prize, and better than the FU trophy could have ever been.
You go for it. Loved the costume change flousirsh at the end.
I have to say I really enjoyed your presentation. It was very well polished. I've seen adults that didn't have it down as good as that. Seemed like you're already a seasoned professional.
Penn's words really resonated with me, you really elevated a silly trick into something valuable. Creating teachable moments out of silly things is the highest mark of quality for any act, and what really amazed me was that no other aspect of your performance suffered for it.
I can't wait to see you absolutely dumbfound me, and then live rent free in the back of my mind for the next 20 years.
I could barely remember my name at that age. As someone who still hasnt overcome anxiety, I am inspired. Keep up the amazing work in all areas.
I see Jeff McBride sitting in the audience! 4:57 What a great student and great teacher!
There's no doubt that Penn and Teller offer a compliment that goes beyond the ordinary, and a hope to see you again on stage. It's something you can be proud of, and keep surprised, do magic and enjoy what you're doing. Then I have no doubt that you will meet Penn and Teller again and fool them....😊😊😊
In Complete and Utter Shock! What A Fantastic Performer and Performance! Keep It Up! AMAZING #youngmagiciansunite
I love it when part of a trick is explained and then something added on top. A very Penn & Teller thing to do, fits perfectly in the show. Well done!
Rachel, I also had to overcome selective mutism as a kid, and now am a musician and conductor. Kudos to you on your journey and stellar performance - you have a lot to be proud of, and a bright future!
I am 4 times your age and i have no clue how you made the dots apear. I've seen the video 10 times now. 8 times in ultra-slow motion... And you fooled me!
If i may speak for others; we hope to see some more magic tricks from you. Thank you for entertaining us with some really nice magic.
Love from the Netherlands!
She is adorable and the trick at the end was cool❤❤
This was such a great performance!
Confident, clear, charismatic. Well done Rachel! What a great routine!
Wow, what an awesome routine, and to learn that you took an existing trick and polished it to perfection is just amazing! Well done Rachael! You're already a fantastic magician. I can't wait to see you perform in another 10 years!
Standing ovation have yet to witness & nor heard penn speak like that to previous young magicians. Good Job Fool US! ! !
I'm not crying, you're crying 😭
I always find one of the best compliments you can get on that show is when Teller reacts. He always seems so genuine and he wants people to succeed. (That's when you know someone truly loves what they do). Although you didn't fool them, you entertained them that is big. Maybe you can figure out another act and try again! Great job Rachel and I bet you'll inspire many others with your talent.
Congrats Rachel. Your growth from having anxiety disorder to getting standing ovation from Penn & Teller is remarkable. Now, you will inspire others who see your story.
Her courage and skills at such a young age is admirable. She will and should return one day to impress us again.
What a wonderful talented young lady. Hope to see so much more from her soon.
That was a great routine. It reminds me of Asi Wind's performance of Fool Us. He had the best performance in Fool Us history imo so I really mean that as a big compliment.
Penn was right, Rachel. Your age has nothing to do with it.
You are are an AMAZING magician and performer!
I subscribed to your channel, and i look forward to watching your career. INCREDIBLE!
A young lady with great promise. Kudos to her parents, too!
I'm more than twice your age and I'm still impressed by how you built on a classic trick to make it your own! I had a rough idea of how the dots were added, but you lost me when the dots became whole. Knowing me, I'm probably overthinking it, so hand on heart, you fooled me! Great job!
She was so brave, her stage presence for age is that of someone who does performing for a career. She speaks clearly and and didn’t once stumble over her words. While she didn’t fool penn and teller she’s just starting and I’m positive she will in the future
Rachel, you are absolutely amazing!!! I wish you nothing but the best with your journey through magic and you will most certainly have your own show one day 🥳🥳 Keep up the amazing work!
Her voice is so powerful. Awesome!
God bless you Rachel! You are amazing! Keep going! :)
I bet we see you again in the future with even better tricks. That was great!
What a fantastic act, having a routine along with a your act increase the mystery of MAGIC. WELL DONE…❤️❤️
This young lady is incredibly talented, and I believe that she's going places.
Incredibble performance, very fun to watch! Keep us entertained please! ❤🎉
Well done the little girl with all the dots - so good .....John ....UK
The American philosopher Charles Sanders Peirce called that habit of assumption making (or guessing) the process of abduction. It is quite amazing seeing an 11 year old teaching the idea on American television. Bravo on the performance, and your intellectual acuity.
Beautiful! Wonderful! Amazing! I can't find a word good enough to describe this routine. You shine so bright, Rachel! ☀
She's so lovely!!! A great magic for age... but also she has the stage presence down pat! In fact, her voice is so beautiful that she could do voice-over work for Disney, Pixar, and other animated movies!!!
Such a great routine!
Great act, this done by an old magician would be cool but considering your short age its more than cool, as Penn said, it shows the future of magic, I nearly got tears watching the standing ovation, well deserved.
I have never seen that trick before but like they said, the value is in your showmanship. Well done!
Singapore represent!
Rachel, in all seriousness, that was an amazing achievement to have such compliments from Penn & Teller. I look forward to see your amazing career as an amazing magician, an amazing all round entertainer!
That was awesome !!! Your Awesome !!!
So good!!! Congrats!!!
Can't wait to see you perform someday. You are amazing!
Great trick, great stage presence and a standing O from the entire audience. And I agree with Penn - you are the future of magic!
My favorite part was the dress change; that was so cool!
The way the standing ovation moved you touched my heart
Fantastic! Keep going with what you do! We need a little more magic in this world.
That was a brilliant performance. Hope you go back again and try and fool Penn and Teller. Your future in magic will take you on an incredible journey .
Amazing.
That was so wonderful Rachel. You no doubt have an amazing magic career ahead of you.
Fabulous routine Rachel Ling Gordon. One of my favourite Fool Us performance.
Am also from Singapore.
You deserved every bit of the standing ovation.
Bravo.
FINALLY!! An ending to the stupid dots. Like Penn said, you make it smart. Love the holes. Curious to see where you are going with this. Wishing you all the best.
This is incredible!
It's a very good trick indeed, the ending with the holes was totally unexpected for me and an excellent tie-in with the quick change. Very well-written routine!
