      watch the last bit, she's spreading the cards but the deck never leaves her hand. it's a few cards from the bottom printed to look like they're a whole deck spread out and bound together. just enough room for the 8 of hearts to slide between and look how carefully she holds it up.

      @user-wq9mw2xz3j Před 2 lety +23

      Yup. Rewatching the video I also noticed, even if really swiftly and subtle, her getting the printed one in the first place and folding the cards and putting them under/in table with left hand.

    • @user-wq9mw2xz3j
      @user-wq9mw2xz3j Před 2 lety +22

      When she switched out the deck for the perfectly ordered one it also wasn't too hard too see, both because she was obviously reaching something with her right hand and she said "watch the deck". If you don't listen and watch the other hand, you see her switching

      also it seems to be some camera magic as well, as with many tricks on the internet, they literally don't show when she obviously replaces the card deck lined up with printed copy.
      I really don't believe this show, that the ones holding it, good magicians, would get so easily fooled by this and many others, especially seeing it in person and not via camera which doesn't show it all...

    • @DJBabb
      @DJBabb Před 2 lety +39

      4:13ish you can see her right hand return, cupping the stacked deck. You can even see cards in her hand.
      I'd bet it's a forced pick, but if not she has 52 pre-set decks. Either way, she also pre-printed fan and spread photos to match. That fixes the "how could she get a photo shoot and print it off so fast" question.
      As for Penn & Teller... if they couldn't figure this out, they're idiots. And they aren't idiots. So they let a kid with some decent sleight of hand work and a good banter routine, win. And they can justify it because they aren't 100% sure if it was a forced pick or 52 pre-sets.

      @@anuj96sharma Search CZcams for "penn teller cigarette" for starters. Then think how you would apply the same basic concept to making this happen as you critically watch this video.
      Being as kind as I can - if you honestly do not see how the fanned-cards-to-photo switch was done, then (1) it's clear to me you are not familiar with basic magic technique, so an explanation would not really be useful to you at this stage, and (2) a CZcams comment on the magician's channel is NOT where your answers will lie. This is her livelihood. Even if I knew every aspect of her act - which I do not - revealing anything here would be the height of disrespect to her artistry.

    What a cute routine! Truly original. This girl is aware of her strengths and leveraged them here. The misdirection of having a black table with a black mat was fantastic! She didn't even use it. The reaching under the table for absolutely nothing multiple times. The inconsistencies like the never ending deck spread which was discounted for cuteness. You don't need large hands to do sleight of hand. Just the concept. I enjoyed everything about this routine

      Like you, I believe she employed a variety of misdirections - but not the "ooh, look over there" kind. The too-obvious* things you mentioned were designed to lull Penn & Teller - and she did, Penn said they relaxed when they knew ending after ending. I think if she'd done a short routine with little plot they wouldn't have been fooled.
