    I would have presumed that the access port on the down tube would already have a cable in there.

    Hi, can you help me with the right dropper post for my sons orbea bike. I want to get him one for Christmas but have no clue what to measure in order to find the right one. He has an MX40

      Hello! Without knowing a bit more about the bike size and where your son's saddle height is in reference to the frame, we can't give you an exact answer, but we have a few resources that can help you find the correct answer. First, it looks like that bike uses a 27.2mm diameter seat tube and doesn't have internal cable routing for a dropper. This means you need a matching diameter post with external cable routing. Here's a link to available post that match that: www.jensonusa.com/Dropper-Posts?RemoteRouting=External&Diameter=27.2mm. The TransX Kitsuma 27.2 External would be a great option. You will still need to determine if you have enough insertion depth for the post and also what length travel you need. You can find out how to determine these measurements in this article and video: www.jensonusa.com/articles/dropper-posts-101 & czcams.com/video/jkIHMdaQ8tk/video.html. If you need additional assistance, reach out to one of our Gear Advisor Pros through phone, email or chat: www.jensonusa.com/company/gear-advisors. Cheers!

    Do you know if a 150mm 1up will fit in a 2017 stumpjumper fsr comp alloy size medium?

    • @jensonusabicycles
      @jensonusabicycles  Před rokem

      What do you mean by fit? Dropper posts come in a variety of sizes so there is one that will go in your bike. Do you mean slammed to the collar for maximum drop? If so, you'd just need to go look at OneUp's site for their dropper dimensions then find the dimensions for your specific frames seat tube length then do some math while looking at bends for tolerances.

    I bought a 2021 Marin Palisades 2 from Jenson USA. Now I want to add a dropper seatpost can you recommend me one from Jenson USA thanks.

      Preston here... The routing for this bike is external so you'll be limited in what you can get, but you can run an externally routed dropper. The diameter for that bike is 30.9 so I'll drop a link below for droppers that should work with that bike. Whatever you do, make sure you DO NOT BUY AN INTERNALLY ROUTED dropper post because it won't work for you. Enjoy the bike and thanks for purchasing from us!

      At mark 1:20 is the same bike I have and the grommet is visible at the bottom. So it's still not an internal routing?

    Which dropper post do you recommend for a Medium 29" Marin Bolinas Ridge 2?

    • @jensonusabicycles
      @jensonusabicycles  Před rokem

      Hey Rich, looking at the specs of that bike, it doesn't appear to have internal routing for a dropper post on the frame and has a 27.2mm seat tube diameter. This will limit you which posts you can choose but it actually makes the install a bit easier since the cable routing is on the outside. Here is a link to a few options that will be compatible with your bike: www.jensonusa.com/Dropper-Posts?RemoteRouting=External&Diameter=27.2mm
