    What the hell is boost or superboost frame? Came for one piece of info and off i go looking for another piece of info

    • @jensonusabicycles
      @jensonusabicycles Před 5 dny

      Boost is 12x148, superboost is 12x157: it's the spacing of the hub. For instance, current Pivot frames use superboost 12x157 spacing so the rear triangle is wider at the dropouts than a boost frame. The offset of the chainring is determined by your frame spacing and chainline. Typically, boost is 3mm offset, superboost is 0mm offset and non-boost is 6mm offset. Look up your frame and/of hub spacing in a manufacturer chart to see which your frame is then choose the chainring offset based on that.

    Appreciate the video, but your script and delivery needs a bit of work. You trail off a lot at the end of your phrasing and "run out" your thoughts. Be precise. A little more effort in the delivery and script departments, the visual is fine, a bit over produced if anything. You dint need side angles just because everyone else is doing it. Again though I appreciate the video, channel has much room for growth and is on the right path.

    Ebikes are designed for different things for different people. Some use for 6k+ climbs (🤢), some people use them because they have a limited amount of time and want to get all the shredding in as possible. Either way they both get you on the bike and that's the important part. 🤙🏻

    • @jensonusabicycles
      @jensonusabicycles Před 24 dny

      Carbon is lighter and can be tailor made to flex a specific way to ensure it provides the most comfort on a ride, alloy will be heavier and you won't have to worry about breakage in the event of a big crash. Personally, I'd choose carbon, especially on a drop bar since the chances of a big crash isn't often or likely. It really depends on how much you're willing to spend... can't go wrong either way!

  • @tannenradblogspot
    @tannenradblogspot Před 25 dny

    Best Saddle is the one that fits and thus does not chaff away at the abductors, next to ramus of ischias. Selle Italia "Friction Free" were the only saddles with a narrow enough wing to nose transition for a 5.3 foot rider. Nobody explains saddle width correctly and honestly, companies basically lie, pretending saddles fit for a huge spectrum of body sizes and that avoiding a too narrow saddle was the main goal of measuring sibone (hence we measure the widest part, the ischias, not the narrowest, the ramus) but most shapes are extremely size specific like shoes - your locked into the valley inbetween nose and wing and in this position, the saddle must not be wider than the bone, nor narrower and you cant just move forward where its narrower or backwards where its wider because of gravity. I dremeled plenty of other saddles down to fit but you can't easily dremel all three dimensions of the shape. Even leather saddles need a cut on top of lacing to be narrow enough. Selle Italia Friction Free are not at all the most comfy saddles in terms of cushioning, but the only option that must not be altered. I prefer my chopped and laced gyes leather saddle but it won't last for long because the leather is "cheap" (from young live stock animals with thin skin). Cambium is horrible. Size and shape is 95% of comfort. Don't pay for special cushion or suspension before you know your size and fit.
