    Absolutely the video I needed. I started adf last week and every feast day I ate terribly. Yesterday I had enough. Felt sick going to bed. Almost threw up it was like my body was rejecting the toxic food I ate yesterday. It was a revelation basically. And then you post this video?! Divine timing truly. Thank you I love your videos I rewatch them every day because of the comfort you bring

    ADF gets easy after 2 weeks..its routine now. It's actually hard for me feast on feast days..really hard...elecrolyte mixes on my fast days works wonders

    Keto got me pregnant with my second baby after 15 years (from my first). I swear it was my keto and OMAD i was doing. I was diagnosed with PCOS when i was 17 years old. Pregnancy was difficult. A lot of miscarriages. Almost died with my first during an emergency csection. Fast forward, 15 years later i got pregnant like nothing lol and had the best pregnancy ever!
    I want to thank you for your wonderful and inspiring videos! You have given me that extra inch of hope i needed. I just discovered you a couple days ago. I started ADF, and i am going the extra mile to complete a week. It has been amazing, including some emotional purging that i thought was dealt with has been released! The fat has memories - i swear on that too! 😅

    I did Keto for 3mths and lost 30lbs. I was satiated but nauseous. I'm Caribbean and missed rice n peas. I regained the weight over 3 years after going back on carbs. I am currently doing an extended fast and will alternate adf and omad. I always break my fast with cabbage soup. I also want to share about Banza pasta. It is made with chickpeas and high in protein and fiber. I plan on meal prepping with this pasta. My biggest issue is not being prepared. Thank you for your inspiration and example.

    Keto is totally sustainable - it just depends on the person. Keto is the only way of eating that improved my mental health. If I stray, then the anxiety, depression and mood disorders return. I'd rather eat the same foods everyday than suffer depression. Butter, heavy cream, meat and low carb veggies rule!

    You can have berries on keto. It’s also 20g net carbs. But I get you. It’s better for ppl who need help with binging and can’t eat in moderation.

    I'm so glad I found your channel last week! I have been doing IF for a year and wanting to really dig in and hit autophagy. I am starting right after new years. I have been listening to you for tips on getting prepared for a fast day, followed by a well fueled feast day. I can't wait!!❤

    When I eat foods related to the Whole 30 diet, my body loves it, my inflammation in my body is completely reduced, and the water weight goes down. I had pizza this past week, so let’s just say I am bloated. Also, Whole 30 reduces the dairy, which helps clear my skin up. Getting foods as natural as possible is the key to real, long-lasting health. Now that I have gotten the hang of eating healthier, I know how to plan my meals better and more easily. I know what times of day I will become hungry, and what can easily fill me up like a piece of rotisserie chicken, or some eggs.
    My breakfast is usually after my workout which includes 2 eggs, an avocado, sautéed peppers and onions, some kind of meat like turkey bacon, smoked beef sausage, a small pack of cut up salmon, or some pieces of smoked salmon if I’m feeling fancy. Lunch maybe a piece of rotisserie chicken with some veggies. Dinner something like some beef taco meat and a baked potato. I eat watermelon in-between (with Tajin 😊). Occasional pieces of beef jerky if I’m feeling “snacky.” I also have snacks like apples with almond butter, tuna, pineapple, or vinegar cucumbers available to snack on, as well as nuts.
    I know this is the way I was meant to eat because of how awesome I feel and how my cravings for “junk foods” and “sweet treats” have almost diminished (except for pms time!).

    Berries can be eaten on keto according to drs on YT. Strawberry, blue berry, rasberry.

    Hi Colleen! I believe there might be some truth to the keto-pregnancy correlation. My friend has always suffered with PCOS and every time she went on Keto she conceived. She would switch to low carb… go back on it and conceive again. She had her 3rd child at age 40 this yr. So there might be some truth to it 😊.       I have to vouch for that. Had 2 children back to back 2018 and 2019 both times went on keto and if after PCP suggested it. Was never on long enough to loose weight. But it cured 3 years of not conceiving.

    With very small fish like sardines and mackerel have very, very small impact as far as mercury. Think how large tuna are!

    I just found you and going through your catalog of videos and oh my god I have to tell you how much I love your communication style. When you repeat things emphatically like ‘do not mess with your macros for dinner’ I’m crying it is so funny and memorable. I’m OMAD and stalled and I think ADF would be the best idea. Also like your take on low carb. You’re inspiring-thank you so much!!

    Absolutely a fruit lover and during these summer months choose my daily carb count to stay within my carb goal

    I came back to this video because I meant to add that I was telling a friend, right now is the best time to go keto because there is literally keto everything-keto pancakes, keto brownies, keto chocolate/candy. When I first started keto, people were baking their own bread and substituting their own ingredients. Eventually, there is gonna be keto fast food and diners and I would be a customer lol.

    I hate the feeling of being in ketosis. I once lasted 2 weeks and it drove me nuts. Nowdays 3 days is max ketosis for me.

    Hi Colleen! Thank you so much for this video. It’s super helpful. Last year I did ADF for the first time and lost weight quickly, but for some reason this year doing it the weight I’ve gained is not coming off as fast and it makes me feel discouraged like I’m doing something wrong. 😩 I will incorporate your advice and see how that goes. It’s funny last year I didn’t think about it so hard and now I’m overthinking lol. Thank you! ☺️

    I had to laugh at your story about being vegan until you got pregnant and then suddenly craving beef and eggs. The same thing happened to me when I got pregnant in 1982 after being vegan for two years and vegetarian for three years before that. I was also a distance runner. Four months into my pregnancy I had such a huge craving for red meat that shopping one day in the grocery store, my shopping cart suddenly turned into a divining rod and made me CRASH into the meat counter. I saw steaks and I grabbed steaks!!! But my husband, the ultimate athlete was still a vegetarian and I knew no meat was allowed in our house, so I bought one of those mini hibachis and a bag of charcoal on the way home, took the little BBQ, the charcoal, and the meat way out into the back of our garden to hide before he got home, cooked the steak to medium rare and then squatted like a cave-girl and ate the steak with my hands! It was pretty funny. I've eaten meat ever since. So does he. We had a beautiful baby girl - now 41.

    Thanks Colleen. I agree with this. I’m just getting back to ADF after weight gain from bereavements. I think of low carb as no sugars and no starches. I can enjoy tomatoes, onion and carrots with low carb, and you’re singing to the choir when it comes to summer fruit. I do prioritize protein, building my meals around the protein.

    Cultural is health food. Keep those cultural foods in. Keep those veggies, grains etc in. Complex carbs good fats etc. did it vegan 17 years now. Do what works for you. You don’t have to feel deprived you don’t have to eat Keto. It just takes you longer to get into Keto. Science is vital here and it’s very easy to cherry pick data to support bias. It’s not basic science. There’s data not the every day Joe can read and it’s very easy to misunderstand “studies” esepcially the most important. Peer reviewed science.
    Keto, people are not on Keto for life. It’s meant to be temporary. Atkins is the originals Keto and he died from his own diet which his wife tried to cover up.
    Do what works for you to make you consistent and happy.
