one of the top ten hip hop tracks of all time. hands down.
This song is the first time we heard the phrase "Dead Presidents". Rakim, imo, is the standard for every emcee!
Oh, and please react to No Omega by Eric B and Rakim.
Most of the rappers that everyone consider the best, think that Rakim is the best.
Rakim single handedly changed the way rhymes were written and said in hip hop
That's an old school classic.
Rakim is the innovator of the smooth flow and intricate rhyme schemes
Why has nobody else reacted to this classic!Still have the tape to this day.
itzjt this is the remix of paid in full, check out the original version.
eric b and rakim will always be one of my favorite duos and rakim is one of the very best. like this one .
Rakim is the God MC
.... Then you can do your top 5.... No Cap 🧢
Yes sir
Rakim invented the 16 bar verse with this iconic and timeless classic
Rakim is the God.....he changed it....his influence....he spit that islamic 5% percent nation street knowledge ..
80's was him, Kane, kool G Rap, LL , krs one, public enemy, the first golden era of rap.....can't forget slick Rick and Dougie, mc lyte Queen Latifa salt n pepa, just-ice .....smh dam what a time to be alive ...
Rakim is the greatest of all time
These dudes right here worked great together. Rakim was the lyrical assassin and Eric B was the cut creator.
Rakim added a new dimension to emceeing. I will say that there were so many great emcees that came out of that era that its a disservice to say one was the best over another from that time they all added something and they all had their own original flow
The God Emcee! The Lyricist! He’s the GOAT. Rakim, BDK, Kool G Rap all ahead of their time
Rahim changed the game....he ushered in the new school 1986...height of crack era...check out Mahogany by them
RAKIM IS THE MOST UNDERRATED MC LISTEN TO THE 18TH LETTER FLOW 4EVER
The God MC at his prime. Classic!
Rakim changed the game! Before him everybody had "huh hu hu huh" in every other verse to keep their rhyme on cadence.....imo "My Melody" changed all that
Rakim is one of my all time favorite artists. The Mystery (Who's God) is one of the best songs ever written.
Eric B & Rakim - Move The Crowd! 💯🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Oooooooh! Yeah Ra is my favorite MC hands down.
Paid in full was the beginning of a new era in hip hop.
THIS IS THE REMIX , DEAAD PRESIDENT IS NOT FROM THE MOVIE IT MEAN MONEY . I LOVE YOUR CONTENT KEEP DOING WHAT YOU ARE DOING.
I played this song everyday in junior high ad memorized the lines
This era is late 80s so we talking rakim, Kane, krs one, LL cool J ,Kool MO Dee, Kool G rap, mc shan, special Ed, Kool Keith, ice cube, chubb rock.
People also forget that Rakim was the first rapper NOT to scream/yell or raise his voice on his album. Way ahead of his time
Classic track ... definitely recommend the 7 minute version for the playlist. Its a ride 🎶
The best version
This was a whole new sound when it came out! This song is in my top 10 all time
It was MCin before Rakim and then after Rakim. GOD MC. Game changer, lyrics and flow!
Jody Watley ft Rakim..Friends...
The GOD MC changed the game back then.
Check out Eric & Rakim - Let The Rhythm Hit'em
The best of the best. Now do Casualties of War ...
Dope song
Rythm And Poetry...the GOD!
Rakim was the first to say dead president. i dont if it was already a slang in new York or not but he was definitely the first to put it on record.
No comparison, back then, Rakim ate EVERYBODY ALIVE!! Hit after hit, after hit!! I remember hearing Eric B for president for the first time on a tape and knew even then, it would be one of the best raps EVER
Rakim the God. Best m c of all times
thank you girlfriend for reminding me bumpin this back in the day now and tonite
I always liked I ain't no joke by Rakim
Follow The Leader has always been mine
@@MarcG7424ghetto is mine also a thousand more songs Let the rhythm hittem ,Mahogany, microphone fiend, know the ledge, know what’s on your mind, casualties of war, move the crowd is a deep cut but dope idk why I’m rambling about this 😂😂😂✌️
@@themightyfp I agree if I could pick 3 Let The Rhythm Hit Em and I Ain't No Joke would be the other 2
RAKIM IS THE BEST EMCEE TO COME UP 🆙 IN ANY TIME PERIOD…..
Know the ledge from juice soundtrack one of my favorite
Rakim The God
THE GOD MC RAKIM TOP 5 BEST OF ALL TIME #THEGOAT RAKIM CAME OUT IN THE MID 80s AT THAT TIME THE TOP 5 WERE 1.RAKIM 2.KOOL G RAP 3. LL COOL J 4. BIG DADDY KANE & 5 THE BLAST MASTER KRS1
CLASSIC!! Enough said!!
1987 sure shot
FYI, this is an edit of the "7 Minutes of Madness" remix.
Remixed ℹn the UK 🇬🇧 BY COLD 🥶 CUTT…
Microphone fiend by ERIC B and RAKIM
KRS-ONE, Rakim, Big Daddy Kane in this era. Don't sleep on Heavy D from this time as well. This version is the remix which was the most popular version. The original was more of a showcase for Eric B and his DJing ability.
Rakim invented this style of rapping. After this track tons of rappers imitated Rakim's style.
T-La Rock preceded him. Checkout "It's Yours". Ultra foundation classic from 1983.
@afrolanticanjurisprudence8849 I remember that track from TLa Rock. Not the same style as Rakim. I had never heard anyone like Rakim before he came out and the whole rap game changed after Rakim blew up. Nas himself cites Rakim as a huge major influence.
@@afrolanticanjurisprudence8849you’re definitely delusional homie because in the iconic track called I ain’t no joke Rakim was on the play ground and he said,,,this style is identical to none,, and that does include T-LaRock homie,,,,, you seriously don’t know what you’re talking about,,,,, Rakim single handly changed the entire landscape and paradigm for all rappers and emcees,,,he invented lyricism and flow and listen to UBR by nas about Rakim,,,, because you seriously have your facts wrong and twisted,,,, real talk and facts
@@cashflowhustlesyou’re absolutely right about what you are saying big homie and nas said that on UBR about Rakim and jay is on CZcams talking about it called the big gap difference
Rakim #1
Rakim has never rapped one curse word in his thousands of bars
He’s rapped maybe 3/4….
2024!
Classic Reeeemix!!!
One of my favorite groups... way ahead of their time.
Listen to the original version.
And dude you’re looking at and hearing recorded this and some of the other songs on that album when he was 17/ 18 years old.
Love this ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Rakim allah ! God mc !
Kool mo deee😂
KRS-1, Rakim, Chuck D are the gold standard. Big Daddy Kane had some great songs as did Kool Moe Dee and young LL Cool J. And an array of female rappers.
Nah ,,,just Rakim is the standard and he made both krs and chuck change their music style
There was no best MC. We just enjoyed whatever came out.
This is the remix by Coldcut not the original track
Rakim and Big Daddy were the first two great flow mc's imo.
Rakim invented flow and lyricism and he made Kane change his flow style
RAKIM STILL HAS *“NO COMPETITION”* & WILL *”ALWAYS REMAIN ON TOP LIKE THE SUN 🌞”* *MOON 🌙 & STARS ✨ 🌟*
Yes sir
Rakim Allah the God MC
If you liked this one, check out M/A/R/R/S: Pump Up the Volume! It samples this track liberally!
This is a club remix you should find the original its a much much better listening experience. czcams.com/video/UYM0osNSg4w/video.html
I hate this version.
LL Cool J the goat!!!!
Not lyrically.
rakim is my #1 mc but wu tang is the best group
JT you can talk as much as you want
This version of the song is the Coldcut remix, not the original. Eric B. and Rakim didn't like this version, but I think it's dope.
What's your method for submitting song requests? 🎉
Nevermind i saw your community post
Rakim gave birth to nas, kool g rap gave birth to big pun!
This aint the original track. It's a mix version
I’m sorry but Rakim is the greatest of all time no exceptions… just do follow the leader and see why… or message in the song or love 4 sale or in the ghetto or untouchables (all of these are songs).. you could go on and on but here’s just a few I think you’ll enjoy reacting to 🤷🏾♂️
Or *”NO COMPETITION‼️”* or *”MY MELODY”*
I still don't know who did this remix was it MAARS?
Cold 🥶 Cut from Uk 🇬🇧
The origami version is better to me
Krsone
“Paid And Full” really?? As opposed to “Unemployed and Empty”
I missed the the fact you were playing with her typo @ first I thought 💭 WTF
Paid “IN” Full…,smh
I know someone might have already commented about it, but this version does not do this song justice. The editing was kinda bad. Left you wanting more. The REAL version... Oooooh yeah... Paid In Full (Seven Minutes of Madness) The Coldcut Remix.
Nas dissed Jay-Z on this beat called stillmatic. I don't know why ppl don't talk about it but he ran through all of roc a fella .. pause lol but its on CZcams. Look up Nas Stillmatic diss.
You can’t match his flow
Rakim is Da 🐐 🐐🐐
This was part of the 7 minutes of funk remix. That's on the Colors soundtrack.
It's Paid In Full not Paid And Full. You should check out Paid In Full 7 minutes of madness
This is the remix babe. I hate this version personally...too much mixing and different elements added and you don't hear all of the verses. Listen to the original then you will get the true effect of the song. And it's called "paid in full" not and. The best MCs are broken down by era and they are the ones who changed the direction of rap music. Rakim and Kane were the best in late 80s. LL Cool J killed mid 80s. Biggie and Nas killed it early 90s along with Black Thought and Big L. Big Pun killed late 90s with JayZ. Other notable trailblazers are Run DMC and Kurtis Blow in the 80s, and Mobb Deep, Snoop, Tribe called Quest, Das Efx in early to mid 90s
