    This was the rhyme that changed the hip hop rhyme scheme, every rapper had to follow.

      Is sad going to shows now, no engagement with the artist. They just want to stand and record, while watching the show through their phones. Sad. Low energy.

    Memories of the summer of ''1986'' This song came out of nowhere, And was so fire. Real 80s Babies Hip Hop will always be here And it will always take me back to my childhood back when life was so fun And innocent in the 80s!!!🎶😎

    • @seanwright8786

      Exactly. The crazy thing when you say fun and innocent is that we were teenagers living the early years of the Crack era!! Damn.😮

      @@seanwright8786 I was 11 years old in 1986'' And the only time i heard anything about crack around that time was when Nancy Reagan was telling people to just say no on commercials. I grew up in the midwest we did't have to worry about crack Hitting our city until almost 1990'' And yes New York had about a 4 year Headstart on every other state everybody in different states back then was always following what people in New york was doing. The Disco Era of the 70s is the reason why Crack was created And was hitting the inner cities of New york back in the early 80s And then Los Angelas In the Midlate 80s. And the 1st time i heard a rapper mention Crack was KRS1 on Criminal Minded In 86'' And then NWA Dopeman in 1987'' 88''. And even then i was still a innocent kid around that time.

      @ants8527 wow.
      You are the same age as my younger sister, who was born in '75. Good stuff.
      L.A. caught the beginning of the crack epidemic first, something like 2 years before we did on the east coast. I remember hearing about "jumbos" around late summer of '85. I was already using the "gateway" drug by then...(weed). Much more I can go into but not necessary. Take care of yourself. Keep the good memories alive, and glad you're still here to be able to talk about them.

    I grew up with this. I remember coming into school singing this along with my friends not really knowing what it meant, just that it sounded so cool. To echo what most have said, this really was the changing of the guard. Even then we knew this wasn’t grandmaster flash, run dmc or the fat boys (all whom we loved) this was THE future. He was right when he says “it ain’t the everyday style of the same old rhyme” cos it wasn’t. All who came after: Tupac, biggie, nas, jay Z , Eminem etc, all of them are direct offsprings of Rakim’s style.
