      Not true. It doesn't bring down anything. It's just a source of entertainment. On the contrary, ancient art, stories, way of life increase scientific proclivity. I am a scientist and I love listening to ancient culture theories by Hancock and carslen, alien theories hy lazar etc etc. I am not going to use this information in any scientific purpose. I use it as an entertainment purpose. And sometimes, these old texts have valuable information. The book from sushruta on surgery is one such example. It genuinely had an influence in biomedical sciences.

      @@manishkumar-nw8pi Myths are always a part of human culture. We cant actually live in a world where only precise facts are discussed. That would be a boring world to live in. Children love stories about fairies and magic. They develop creativity through stories. Continually, only talking about precise science, would make everything robotic. The fact that we can dwell upon ancient society theories, about Atlantis, about aliens, etc make us more human and less AI. It's the absurdity that fuels creativity. Now, in that process, some go too deep, like you said. But that's unavoidable in any facet of life. Few people jumped from their building thinking they were spiderman after watching the movie. But Spiderman isn't responsible for that.

    • @RRR-vr7cd
      @RRR-vr7cd Před 2 měsíci +2

      That's not true. It is scientific to explore each concept and give them their due respect. History cannot only be scientific, because there are no ways to prove whether things actually happened. We don't have historical accounts of many many many things. If we didn't find fossils of dinosaurs, would dinosaurs be a myth? The fact that understanding history requires physical proof doesn't mean that things didn't exist then.

    • @satggs
      @satggs Před 2 měsíci

      @RRR-vr7cd Yes, if we didn't find fossils they would have been considered as myth. That's what evidence is about. If we don't have a tiny iota of evidence about so-called history it's totally okay to call it a myth or simply stories such as Mahabharata and Ramayana. There is no place for emotions, respect and feelings in science...it's just data, evidence and facts. It's perfectly fine to explore anything as long as proper methodology and rational assumptions are made. False pride about mythology and claiming them as history just makes us look like fools and is never going to take us anywhere. P.S. I am a Hindu and do believe in God. The key word here is "believe".

      @upworkdiary is absolutely not true. Science (in this case) is nothing but archaeological evidence. Archaeological evidence ( the 1% data we have) can build a small picture of our history. Mythology (the scriptures/sculpures) are part of our history. However, whether these are written for the sake of literature or whether it is literal history is up to debate. Science is just a quest to find truth and collection of data. Science can not believe or disbelieve anything unless enough data points are there. Up until then, the real scientist would say, "I don't know, I need more evidence." A believer would say, "There is god." A non-believer would say, "There is no god." Scientists are agnostic (should be one for the sake of science).

      If I post my own perspective, homosexuality is natural, but sometimes it may happen that when people are surrounded by homosexual majority population, it might have effect in there thought process, however this is a western phenomenon. In India, I think there are people who genuinely struggle with their preference being demonized by backward classes. As for non binaryness, they overdo it by trying to legislate free speech. And people who advocate for them are the ones who cause more ruckus than necessary, threaten individuals (like Riley Gaines was surrounded by students in some university and kept in a room for some hours against her will). They don't care if "women" with penis are sent to female prison and rape other prisoners (there is a recent Ted Cruz moment where he rightfully point out another female judges lack of sensibility). For this reason, the ones who are really having problems with their preferences are wrongly denigrated. Deluded people shouldn't be paid attention to. Time and again it is proven that trans females, a lot of who failed (just simply accepted failure and thought of getting accolades in female sports) as male athletes, are invading biological women spaces, stealing their rightful titles. Even in India, I've heard instances in colleges were if someone fails to address someone by their prefered pronouns, the so called liberal gang would turn up and start bullying. They are not liberals, they are closeted fascists. Fortunately enough, no one would ever take them seriously, at least in India. America is entirely different from rest of the world, with deluded left and right.

    It seems like the focus is often on seeking validation rather than highlighting the truly remarkable and useful contributions made by Indian scientists like Ramanujan and Aryabhatta. Many podcasts in India have become an escape from reality, offering content with little to no real knowledge, just random so-called facts. I am specifically addressing scientific podcasts here; I am not concerned with the political ones. These podcasts often mix science with a sense of superiority about our ancestors to create a sense of pride and attract an audience, leading to a shared delusion. Good job, Pranav Proud of you.

      You should be proud of our ancestors, who invented whole numeric system at a time when whole world is living in dark ages. We invented zero, and it's operations, numerical systems, trigonometry which is used in sun dials to calculate time precisely up to milli seconds. We used algebra sulaba sutras to calculate system of equations. We used geometry to calculate astronomical objects. Pythagoras theorem is invented before thousand years ahead of Greeks in India. We invented calculus, what is mythology in it. There are literally theorems written down explaining them. And these are the survived records. If they came to the highest level of mathematics there is a possibility that they have invented vimanas. Listening to this idiot ranting takes you no where. First learn how mathematics of Indians is copied by westerners. Inventing new mathematical ideas is the hardest thing.

      @saumyashah4831 if you didn't find the fossils of dinosaurs, would you believe that they existed. Truth doesn't always come from archaeological findings. A decade ago, archaeologist used to say that hunter-gatherers were not builders. Now, the notion has changed drastically with new archaeological findings. So, you can't question where the fossils are because archeology is a super slow process. And much of what was is not.

      @@saumyashah4831 you are literally using it dumbo, zero is used in the binary circuits, so they can make phones and you are typing on that. Your profile name is translated in to a hindu numerical value which was invented by Hindus. The GPS system uses trigonometric equations combined with algebra to determine your position. Go to jantar mantar in Delhi, you can still find the long standing sun dial there which can calculate time up to milli second precision. And many more.
