Been playing destiny 2 since launch and there are a few things you mentioned I want to clarify for potential new players: 1. Strikes in destiny 2 are the equivalent of running a dungeon in other MMO’s. The “dungeons” in destiny 2 are much longer and more intricate versions. Nightfalls are basically Heroic mode dungeons. 2. There is one other 6man mode you forgot to mention on Nessus called The Menagerie which has some really cool rewards available and functions as a Raid lite. 3. The game doesn’t have a traditional leveling system. Exp is used to unlock cosmetics. Character progression is based entirely on boosting your item level only. 4. With the exception of three specific weapons, every weapon can be used by every class. Armor is class specific. 5. The app is indeed awesome. You can also use it to move gear between your different characters and bank vault without going to a specific zone or changing characters. 6. The game runs smooth but the load times are pretty shitty.

Everyone can raid just go on the app and make your own fire team for a raid and just say your new and need a guide and ppl will join. . Their is another mode that has 6player match mske the menagerie but I think you need to own forsaken dlc to get it.. but the menagerie is awesome it's on the leviathan where 3 of the main raids are held and it will test your skill as a new guardian... the forsaken and shadowkeep are worth the price because it's over two years worth the content for $60 or you can buy them separate forsaken for 25$ and shadowkeep for 35$.. its great
yeah i ran the menagerie a few times its fun. i just wish it awarded pinnacle gear cause now im at the point where thats all that can help me. they need more pinnacle gear sources in the game but i know changes are coming
Its really not that hard to find people to do raids in use the destiny companion app look for fireteams who are willing to teach. I raid all the time, raids aren’t really that hard they just require good team coordination.
i agree but as a new player every team i see is only looking for people that know what they are doing or certain high light levels making it very hard for new players to get in to one
As a long time destiny player this is a pretty damn good review. I have played since the Destiny 1 beta and the story or Grimoire of the game is amazing. If you want info in that I would recommend My Name is Byf or Myelin Games for the story telling, just look them up here on CZcams. Also as far as managing your gear, yes the companion app is sufficient but I would very highly recommend Destiny Item Manager. He is also correct about the vary large community. Here on PS4 there are many Destiny communities that are very active.
Most exotics in d2 are really not so good but the few that are good are very deserving of the name “exotic” try using a titan with one eyed mask and recluse in the crucible oooo boi you gonna have a lot of fun with that
yeah i know. only some of them completely benefit a class and subclass but they make it way better. i play the warlock and i love the crown of tempest on my arc build
I really enjoy it as well, need to play it more, love the warlock but i have one of each class cause, 3 char slots, and i like to have each of them totaly different 'spec' my warlock is the void, titan is fire/dawn and hunter is arc or other way around i forget
I loved the game, since D1, but i hate it becus now for some fking reason, even after u watch a video of a raid, u cant find a team unless you KWTD or have specific weapons requested by assrats!! If only they made the raid fun enough that u can solo it easily without groups of mean gamers, and make it fun, soooo fun that u wont need evil gamers saying KWTD everytime, then and only then will i love the game again.
I mean that’s situational personally I’ve ran multiple people through this new raid who have an idea but haven’t done it. Then again you can just make a post yourself saying newbies welcome but I digress
A.M. : I'm BIASED! I purchased that bs, 4 months before release. couldn't get in on release day. didn't get any of the perks I was supposed to get for 100$. Nah...I'm good. I only still play destiny 1. check my game play...
