Why are there always so many people defending Microsoft's controllers? I see it on every YT video, reddit thread and forums. If people are complaining it isn't just to complain. The design of the controllers is awesome, but they are very cheap and made that way purposefully to make people buy more controllers. The base model is ok as long as you go to amazon and get it for ~$40...but the Elite 1's were trash and they were $150, that's unacceptable. There's always those people though that are like "Mine is fine...Had it since day 1" Ok? Does yours not being broken mean that nobody else is allowed to have problems with them? They are way too overpriced for those types of things to be happening in my opinion. Good vid bro!

Had the Elite 1 and now have the Elite 2.
First Elite 1: B button stopped working reliably and grips came off partially, got it replaced after 600 hours
Second Elite 1: headphone jack failed, could be fixed with a new cable, then grips came off completely and now after 1000 hours the left analog stick has 3mm play
First Elite 2: A button missed 10+ inputs per hour after one week, got it replaced
Second Elite 2: holding B button is unreliable, will test on another computer and another game, but will probably also get it replaced
If they don't manage to get me a working one on the third attempt, I'll probably back out of the contract.

But from my defective experiences the x and a button sticks when you wanna tap them repeatedly, both joy sticks have stick drift I know Microsoft acknowledges the problems and say that they are investing but how will we know what the next batch will look like when they send it out, will it have a lot number that indicates that these are the fixed new batches etc is my concern. I’m a console siege player and I like to have my dead zones at 5 which is the lowest. For a $180 controller it is unexceptionable to have stick drift they need to have a better quality inspection team make sure the controller is put together nicely and everything is working fine the controller should have a lot of attention to detail.

I was worried about buying one because of the price. However, I haven't had any issues with mine, luckily. It's been a great controller and I am loving it. I don't have to buy batteries anymore, all the buttons work good, I can't complain. I find it funny how you can't see the likes and dislikes on a video like this lol. You're entitled to your opinion, but I'm enjoying it. Just take care of it and if it gives you issues, return it, simple as that. I bought a one year warranty on mine when I bought it at gamestop. I'm not too concerned. I'll give the controller an 8 1/2 out of 10. Only downside to it so far, it can be a pain to keep clean.

how can you take care of it when the point of the video was many were complaining that it came broken out the box or broke a few days later. has nothing to do with taking care of anything.
realize im reporting what others are saying not me like i said in the video and if you read the comment you can see how many people have said they have had issues with it already, it is a big percentage.

It's definitely restored my faith in Infinity Ward and it feels bigger and more realistic than the previous CoDs but trust me it doesn't feel like a Battlefield Ripoff like Ghosts. The only big issue I have with it is how much memory it consumes, but aside from that I'm really pleased. Solid servers, good hit detection, crisp graphics, the guns are balanced (and there's a shit ton of attachments) and a lot of game types to choose. Also- NO SUPPLY DROPS OR SPECIALISTS. As much as I appreciate looking out for the consumer and reporting negative user experiences to inform potential buyers of what they might be facing if they do decide to take the plunge, I do find it somewhat disappointing that you don't really point your audience towards any alternatives. I myself have been doing research on "premium" controllers, and the only brands that offer functionality with Microsoft's premium offerings are Scuf and Razer. However, a consumer who's interested in getting a more expensive controller and watches your video is left somewhat uninformed of where to head next. Without an alternative offering, the video kind of comes across as doom-beckoning, leaving the message of, "if you want a more premium option for your controller, well, tough." I'm not saying that was your intention, but with the desperate tone of the video title and thumbnail, that is what is being communicated. I dunno, new guy to the channel here, just stating what I see.

Can you please do a video with a good alternative? I want paddles but the internet is full of negative reviews and don't know which one to get!

Scott Hoffman the elite one is great. Had mine for years no problem. Had 3 elite 2 already going back to e1. Just get it from GameStop so u can get a one year warranty just in case.

Just got mine today, 1/11/2021. Didn't even use it, broken out of the box. Left joystick is "loose" doesn't recenter. And gets pressed super deep into the controller when trying to press down. This is highly unacceptable for a $180 controller. I'll be returning mine, and not getting another one. This controller is joke.

Hopefully the series x doesn't have the same controller issues.

For a guy who claims years of Xbox experience, you sure have bad luck. Never had these issues

Quit strong arming the triggers and buttons. Don't spill stuff on controller and you won't have these problems.

Never had a problem with the elite for a 1.5 years and after that time the only issue has the rubber grip comic off and the green back paddle buttons having the small dimples from the use.
And just called to get my elite replaced and they actually sent me the elite 2
