The story isn’t really that great somethings they could’ve done effort wise to make you feel more into the story.
In the pre-sequel gardian say that the war is coming but these is not that war. The story is only for sirens, how they works. So yeah the story is not that good, its like sirens origin before the war. Even we didn't see many characters from borderlands 2.
Yeah, endgame sucks. Events suck too. Wasn't even using anything they nerfed and now I won't. Got 21 million dollars, 2,000 eridium, a bank & backpack full of legendaries, and nothing to do.
exactly. same here. and the things i dont have that i want i wont play the game for a month straight for 6 hours a day just to try to get 1 thing that they will prob nerf.
"the story is amazing" wtf are you talking about, the story I cliché predictable and cringe to the point of physical pain at times.
I love the gameplay, but as a Borderlands 2 fan it really seems like two different teams wrote the game, one each for the main campaign and the side missions.... unfortunately only one of them had any talent.
i thought the story was awesome. was it as good as bl2, no. but it was still a good story to me

I totally agree with everything you said this game is becoming complete ass.I played every borderlands since this one and hands down every single one before this shits on this game. My main problem is there's 10 million nerfs and basically no good guns left. Spent $100 on the ultimate edition and given any day I would return it in a heartbeat.
I agree with you, but for a reason you didn’t mention: lack of build diversity for endgame. This may be less of an issue for some characters but it’s a HUGE issue for Moze. I was sooooo excited to play Moze watching all the trailers of her and iron bear. Clearly this was a character centered around using her mech as an ability. The game play of ALL borderlands characters centres around their abilities. Through the campaign up to lvl 50 Iron Bear was incredible. Like a total power fantasy when I popped that ability and got into it for 30 brief seconds of domination. Then came the endgame. Iron bear doesn’t scale with mayhem mode. AT ALL. It melts in seconds when used....literally less than 5 seconds, and probably does as much damage as a mediocre green level gun. I probably put out 3-4 times the damage with Moze OUTSIDE the mech. So there was zero incentive to use my ability. Imagine that. Imagine a borderlands game where you literally have to ignore ever using your ability. That’s like half the fun ripped out of your game. How is this possible??? How could a game be developed FOR SO LONG and the characters not balanced for endgame?? It clearly wasn’t play tested by competent people in the end game. Either that or they knew and didn’t care. I quit playing completely, totally deflated that my characters ability is totally useless for the portion of the game I would spend the majority of my time playing. So disappointed.

I agree with everything you said except the story campaign. I loved BL1, BL2, and even liked the Presequel story for the most part. But I really didn't like the story in Borderlands 3. That being said, I would take a poor story any day if they didn't nerf things, gave us 200+ bank space, had specific loot drops from bosses or named enemies, could skip cutscenes, made proving grounds actually worth playing, removed immune stages from enemies (especially anointed militants), fixed menu lag, made mayhem modifiers fun, etc.
There's a lot of things that just doesn't make sense considering they had 5-7 years to make it and 10 years of data from the previous games. More inventory space and skipping cutscenes has been a big thing since Borderlands 2. Hell, I remember being able to get around 70 inventory slots in BL1, a 10 year old game. Why is a 2019 loot game not able to have the same or more space??
yeah compared to the old stories its not as good but i still liked it alot. everything else is just a mess and i cant play it anymore til new dlc comes out
I just play for the story on easy and some levels, not gonna waste 500 hrs trying to get a legendary drop vs enemies with 20 zillion hp, didn't do it in 2 either. The game is too scripted for me to maintain the illusion that you can get powerful

My dude....I hear you loud and clear. I think people don’t recall what it was like when BL2 dropped. There were two modes (NVHM & TVHM) with level 50 cap and one raid boss (Terra). The Conference Call was THE weapon to get because you could kill ANYTHING the game had to offer in seconds. Guess what? They nerfed it.
There is A LOT more content to come, with the very toughest enemies still not yet part of BL3. Some of the builds people have figured out, are killing bosses in 3 seconds....so if thats all you wanna do, is one shot everything....thats just not fun after a while.
They had to balance back and forth, adjust things over and over again. The reason the raid bosses in BL2 and digistruct peak is hard AF solo, is because of things like the DPUH and the Bee Shield.
They had to amp up the difficulty because certain weapons were overpowered. It got to the point that you HAD TO HAVE THOSE SPECIAL PEICES of gear if you even wanted to have a prayer.
Dedicated drops are now a thing. The game is going to get balanced, and rebalanced, over and over again as new DLC and raid bosses are released. There will be new ridiculously OP weapons that will get nerfed, and character and weapon buffs as time goes past. The same thing happened with BL2. It was probably a couple of years before BL2 was a finished product, not taking the final DLC into account.
I hear you, I have a lot of gripes too. I think it will get there, and it stinks because most of this should have been worked out in play testing....including the dog shit story. I’ve pit the game down. I have two characters at level 50. I’m not going to farm stuff because DLC and level cap increase is coming, and then all my level 50 loot is worthless in an hour. Just step away, and come back when the game has more to offer. Again, it took two years before BL2 was a polished end-game experience.
Told you it sucks. I bet it doesn't suck half as bad as neverwinter though.
it would have been fine if they just left the game alone. the game i played week one is nothing like the game it is today.
@@TheRealAssistMan This is so true. The drop rate was fine, it actually allowed people to find a few legendaries in normal mode just playing the missions. Which was great for casual players. And for the more hardcore players we were able to farm bosses trying to find that perfect anointed weapon, which as you pointed out in the video is not easy to find.

Great thoughts, I'm loving the game but yeah I feel the nerfs hurt less frequent and casual players more, I'm a massive borderlands fan, but I hate because I have few fellow vault hunters or ain't amazing at it I miss out cos drop rates give me nothing, I can't solo things so I'm locked out

Maybe if you like no character development, ava always whining and blaming everyone else for her fuck ups, the calypso twins' dad being horribly underutilized along with other fan favorites like tina, that bullshit scene with maya, the player not being recognized for their accomplishments, cringy sjw ending/overall narrative, and downright disappointing villians.

They've worked on this from 2016 I think is when battleborn came out so 3 years is how long they've been working on it and they've said they're gonna add specific bosses to specific bosses as well. Also totally agree about the cutscenes but don't forget the mass amount of dialogue you have to sit through to proceed with quests. I'm also 99% sure the max guardian rank is 15%

Must say you are the only person who said they like the story. Lol. Again, it is a matter of opinion tho. I feel you are dead on with everything. Just today they drop a new DLC and add even MORE Legendaries (and I'll just assume more Annointments) and no SDUs upgrade. I actually had someone ask what I would need 300 back slots for. I'll add the 40 backpack spaces are ridiculous.
ARK 3.8k hours = $60 with DLC's.
Borderlands 3 base game &60 -- oh gosh dozens and dozens of hours.
You are seriously stretching it. Not to mention that after you are done with regular game mode it is maybe 40 hours at best and then the other modes are just you replaying the game to reach higher lvl with basically ZERO extra content.
legendary drop rate nerfed and stuff : isn't that the point of grinding ? isn't that how BL2 worked and heightened the sense of reward ? the hex grenade was making systems crash.

I’m runnning a phasegrasp Amara as well. The game is pretty fun but yeah the endgame is sorta broken because I started TVHM at level 41 and Mayhem mode doesn’t work on console TVHM. We also need more storage overall

They nerfed so much. Even if im willing to put in many many hours to get that perfect weapon/shield/atrifect/classmode who says they not gonna nerf one of these things and potentially ruin the whole build. Nah it's not worth playing anymore and i personally won't pay for a dlc.

Another thing I have a problem with is the display. Especially when I play splitscreen. Everything is so small and very hard to read. I didn't have this problem in BL2
borderlands 3 performance is too much bad that i am sick literally. I am playing in P.C the graphics is too bad, when i farm a boss 10 times when i back to the game it rendered like they didn't even saw that & i am running these game in RTX 2080.
I beat the game but I'm probably not going to play again. I'll wait for the DLC

I personally agree with everything except the nerfs, although they've nerfed a bunch of stuff to me personally i don't see the nerfs as being crippling... Most od the stuff nerf are still top teir compared to the others...They want you to feel powerful but no kinda completely broken.
If players are broken then the end game only suffers more from lack of challenge.
I do agree with everything else though... especially when it comes to performance in the menus & replaying story missions/cutscenes/character unlocks...
All of that stuff is stupidly tedious and un-needed...

@@TheRealAssistMan I totally get it ha The first 10 secs were fine though! Either way I'm liking the content man! I shared the exact same views as you in both this vid and the vid about the loot nerf. Gearbox really dropped the ball on that one. It's been a week now since I stopped playing because of all the weapon nerfs, my Zane build pretty much becoming useless on M3 😪 I hope they balance everything fast and stop having all these unnecessary "patches" so I can go back to enjoying the game without fearing a new build being made redundant on every playthrough. It's almost as if Gearbox has forgotten that the purpose of the game (to most fans) is to make the player farm the best weaps so they can virtually become Gun-Jesus. Those trailers sure fooled me...
