I like that you’re using some off the shelf products that I have, great and fair comparison, thanks Josh 👍😁
Wow theeeeeee best comparison on the internet!! Thank you!! Well appreciated!!!
I received my pressure washer czcams.com/users/postUgkxfQauTxLT0JLSvqkq10rD79TU4k0Vz8zP over the weekend and decided to wait for the sun to come out before firing it up. Was needed to clean the deck. Our last pressure washer broke a couple of seasons ago, and I just hadn't replaced it yet. This one had great comments, so here we are. It was easy to assemble, and the trigger wand is comfortable and easy to hold for long periods of time. The pressure washer worked great and made quick work of the "TN North side algae" that inevitably grows every year. I also washed all of the deck furniture while I was at it... it all looks great! So far I am happy with this purchase. I plan to climb the ladder to wash siding over the next couple of days, will update if I have anything else to add after that!
As a CZcams creator myself, I am very impressed with your videos. I am going to use your link to purchase once I see the next video to decide the best foam product!.
Awesome compare. Much appreciated. Just bought some of your links also much appreciated for the schooling and time/money saving of figuring this out by trial and error. Great channel..subbed !
Thank you for taking the time on this. I was just starting to look for my next soap. Started with the Costco Meguiers soap and wax that you reviewed a while ago.... But I want to live that thick foam life! Again, Thank you!
So what did u end up getting and the results ...advise please
@@ultra787212 years later and still wanting that response
Thanks for all you do man! Definitely my new favorite CZcams channel 🤙🤙🤙
Thanks for testing out mr pink! That's all i needed
This is the video I needed!!! Earned a subscription and a like 🤙🏽
Great video! I’m about to do my Fall prep on my truck which includes a good hand wash and waxing.
Yes, it should foam better. It would be great if you could test PSI and GPM of different units using tap, vs treated water.
Mr. Pink has always been my favorite!
It’s my go to
Also have to give it to Mr. Pink. I also use the 1600 Ryobi in a Griots Garage Brilliant Finish foam cannon. Can't wait for the next video to drop!
put your water in the cannon first them pour the soap in it. it wont foam up on you and you can fill it up properly lol
You’re right when it foams up it loses efficiency
@@Legendary62548 use hot water in your foam cannons too. itll create better foam
Add a little semen for ultra foam
Lol
@@ebx2323LMAO
Thank you, sir. Great video.
Great video! Its always fun to see different soaps out of a foam cannon. Adam's Mega Foam and GSF are other great one's to try as well.
Excited to see how the Honeydew does, i have some on its way from amazon!
Alway good content, and I am only 10 seconds into the video....very down to earth
Using either DI or distilled water in the cannon to mix with the soap yields better results because the chemicals in the soap can more readily bind and “react” with the pure water. If there are minerals, the soap doesn’t mix and react with the water as well as intended/designed.
Great video! When you use the tips which tip (angle and orifice size) do you use mainly to rinse your car?
Really appreciate your videos: analysis of products and pressure washers. Would like to see you do a general "What to look for in a pressure washer." video. So not just the what but also the why: more educational then review I guess.
I been using chemical guys for awhile. But also find Adam’s polishes makes a good one.
I use the gold class and I love it, but I might switch to the spot free one since I was my car mostly by myself. I will take any help I can get lol
Would be great to see CarPro Reset, Xtreme Solutions Extreme Suds, Leno’s Vehicle Wash, GSF, and maybe a super concentrated newbie like Detail Firm Exterior Lather! All great products! Love your 4Runner also!
Outstanding video
This man loaded this video with so many adds
I’ve been watching your reviews on electric power washers that have been very interesting. I’m looking for the best electric power washer to use in a commercial kitchen as well as a soap cleaning agent. Surfaces are painted concrete block walls, stainless steel, concrete floors and a washable fiberboard on other walls. I would also be using this around my house and yard. I know you are a car detailer but any advice you can share would be appreciated.
Man do you understand how much product ive wasted half filling the foam cannon then the rest with water . Thanks for this
I kinda want to see a full paint correction on that 4runner 😱🤗
Love your reviews! I'm going to go pick up the Ryobi electric pressure washer today. Have you used the Ryobi foam blaster? Is it worth picking up? Also looking to rid the use of a brush/mit and all the scrubbing lol. Would you say the Mr. Pink does a good job without any scrubbing? Thank you!
Great video, thank you for sharing
Thanks for watching!
Wow, thank you!
Awesome video josh , much respect for all your hard work that you have it into your videos . I am new to snow foam and i have cleaned both of my cars only once with it so far . I noticed afterwards that the chrome around the windows on both cars are now stained . Is there a way to get rid of that and get the chrome like new again ? Please help
Already looking forward to tomorrow's results. I'm currently using gold class and have great results. Looking forward to seeing how it stacks up in this test. But! Already considering moving to Mr. PINK LOL
Great video I have that pressure washer I just ordered that foam Cannon
Nice Camaro 👍
Hey bud awesome video what nozzle are you running for rinsing?
Great Video Josh! Last year I bought a Ryobi pressure washer, a foam cannon and the 1.1mm orifice all based on your reviews and videos. I finally have a car worth spending the time and energy to really take care of the finish, and your channel along with a couple other detailers I follow have been a tremendous help for what works best and a ton of help. I have since also done paint correction and other detailing work on two family member vehicles, it is a fun hobby! Anyway, this comparison was great, but just by luck the first (and only) snow foam mix I bought was the Chemical Guys Honeydew; so I will definitely be interested in the next one. Keep up the great work and good luck to you and your business.
What kind of hose do you use for your Ryobi?
Interesting video...thanks for posting. DI water does help quite a bit with enabling suds....hard water kills suds. I've had a CR Spotless system but thought it was more of a pain than it was worth. For my foam canon I use distilled, but just tap water for the bucket wash. My go-to soap for both steps is CG Honeydew, but would like to try the Mr. Pink at some point. To prolong the performance of your canon, be sure to fill it with clean water and run it for at least 30 seconds when you're done. You're right that the stainless mesh can gunk up otherwise.
Especially is using a wash and wax. That extra bit of chemical can really clog it
Please test Adam’s Mega Foam
I’ve tried so many and I ALWAYS go back to Adams Mega Foam lololol
Great foam but expensive.
It’s on part 2 of the test! Amazing product just a bit expensive
Man it's a bit pricey but I love that shit so so much
these are noce but my go to is Honeydew Snow Foam by Chemical Guys
Thanks for the vids
I bought a Lexus f sport 350 and I want to treat her well
So I’m going to buy this stuff
Do test out Meguair's Nxt Gen car wash soap (the purple soap), although youre gonna test gold class from meguairs but still, since i am planning to buy Nxt Gen one it would be great if its tested for foaming. Awesome video btw
Bowden's own mega snow job
good stuff bro thnks.
Great content bro.
Appreciate it
Please add Xtreme Solutions Mega Foam and NV Snow Foam. Great video.
Would love to see Gyeon's Foam reviewed
I think a great product to put up against these others would be the Ammo Foam Paint Cleanser.
Cleanest car on the block! 👍👍😆
Super awesome video
Could you try Meguiars hyper wash for the next test.
Gold class is my go to soap. Can't wait to see how it compares to the rest
Gold class in a foam cannon works great. I've tried it after seeing a video on this.
@antoniolazzaro7052 gold class what dilution rate mate as I have it
What I use. Easy to get and great results.
John in Ramona, Josh. Enjoy your content, and this video.
Something to think about is since you filled up the bottle with soap first and then water, there is already a lot of foam in the bottle which could affect the amount of foam being produced. Maybe try adding water first, then the soap. Also, I would like to see cold water vs. warm water in the foam cannon! Thanks for all your awesome reviews, I ended up purchasing the 1600psi Ryobi unit because of your reviews!
Yes please start with the same amount of water then add the soap.
More great info! Are there some soaps that are more "GREEN" than others that clean and you can recommend? Our storm sewers go to the Cheasapeake Bay.
Can you list the set up you used with the ryobi, did you need adaptors for the hose and gun?
Hi mate great content 👍..you said you dont use bead maker because you have a better one and its cheaper..wich is that one please..thank you
Good video!
In order to make this a better comparison, you should fill the water level prior to adding the soap. Also, how well something foams does not indicate how well it will clean or lubricate the surface. I will generally only use a soap that is either ph neutral or a ceramic type of wash depending on what I am washing. Additionally, as you continue testing the same panel it can change dwell times of the soap. DI water has a huge impact on foam too. It is nice to see how well some of the soaps foam though.
i actually disagree with your observation. Using a "scientific method" in the test - everything was done following the same methodology, including noting Ph level (neutral acidic or alkaline), the use of de-ionized water and noting any deviation in the test from manufactures directions. Thickness and foam "hang time" and sheeting was noted. And each panel test was done the same. So, IMHO, the comparison did answer the question of which best soap for foam canon.
@@petecallamaras6422 Still doesn't tell you how well it cleans or lubricates the the panel. Also the first soap on a dry panel will have an increased dwell time over one tested on a wet panel. The longer the test goes on, the cleaner and more lubricated the panel will become.
Do you have the top ten foam cannons you like and pricing? I just started watching you and have learned a tremendous amount
I appreciate your tests and comparisons, but in order to accurately evaluate and compare products, the manufacturer’s directions should be followed. I am not an Armor All fan, but even though the cost per wash would be higher, their recommended ratio of product to water was not used in the test. Using about 20 cents per ounce of each different detergent modifies the intended formulas. Some products are more concentrated than others. Better cost analysis could probably be accomplished with equal amounts of label instructed, mixed solutions. Thanks for performing your comparisons.
I get that! I’ll do that on the next set of soaps I test! Thanks
Agreed but I would rather know how concentrated something is because to me a $10 for a 32oz bottle less concentrated is more expensive than a $40 gal that's more concentrated
@@skillz101989 the concentrations within each product doesn't change...at least not with the products I've used. It shouldn't change either because that would be unfair to the consumer.
@@GSP-76 maybe but I've used other products and notice it more with dish soap. Dawn works a lot better than cheap soaps and use less for cleaning
@@skillz101989 Agreed 100% on Dawn...and not just Dawn. There's other very cheap soaps you can get that work great...but back to this concentration thing...I can't fathom that a smaller bottle has higher concentration of soap vs a bigger bottle. That reeks of consumer affairs fraud if the pricing doesn't match up to me. I can understand them saying put more in the bottle cap, etc because the bottle might be smaller but the mix should be the same across all sizes.
Adam's Mega Foam is my suggestion.
Tested in part 2! Thanks
it could be cool to hear your opinion on the muc-off snowflame
Could you do a review of one or two bucket wash. Thanks
Great video once again. I wonder how Mr. Pink compares to the soaps I use- Maxi Suds. I see both as just "regular" soaps. Nothing fancy like added gloss enhancers. I get great deals on these soaps during the holidays/Prime Day
Recently tried maxi suds, it's just as good if not better than Mr. Pink and cheaper too!
Omg look at that car wow 🤩
My interest is how well the soap cleans all the nook and crannies without being caustic to the surface. But thanks for the vid 🙏
Please try Adams mega foam and or Ultra Foam. Also maybe Chemical Guys other foam like the honey dew snow foam
I had mr pink before and switched to there maxi suds 2 better glossy finish with same thick foam.
I would guess that de-ionized water would foam better similar to the way that soft water produces better shampoo suds in the shower than hard water (like from wells), but that's just a guess on my part.
One question, I wonder if the results from the soaps later in the lineup are in any way altered (such as persistence of foam) by any potential residue left from the early soaps (such as that wash-n-wax product), or just the vehicle getting cleaner?
Meguiar’s and Chemical Guys are just way superior against any other DIY brand hands down. I only use those two for different things. One compensates the other and vice versa.
DRAMATIC ZOOM IN!!! -inserts 70s kungfu music- silly question though can some “snow foams” be used in those foam guns? (Garden hose style)
I'd also like to see a showdown of say the polymer type soaps. Like Optimum Wash and also quite interested to see your thoughts on some of the Poorboy's products given their wash is pretty sudsy and then they make an supposedly EVEN FOAMIER one for foam guns!
Try Armorall Ceramic, it foams and leaves an SI02 coating that I can't believe.
Ultra clean wash and wax (purple color)
Can you test out Turtle Wax 53411 Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Wash and Wax also. Thanks
Looks nice, which cleans the best tho?
Chemical guys snowfoam is awesome
that washer is very good 👍
Have you tried the chemical guy’s hydrosuds ceramic wash? And if so is it any good with the foam cannon
Do griots garage brilliant finish! $12-13 for a 64 ounce bottle. I use that with a little bit of no rinse and they smell amazing, foam great, and provide great lubricity
Please add Duragloss 902 to the testing. Thanks!
Chemical guys ,
Maxi suds II is my favorite
And it's cheap too!👍
I think you should try zymol car wash. Thanks 😊
I’ve never even used a foam cannon, but there was an actual audible difference in the pressure washer when you used the Meguiars with the 1.25 orifice compared to the 1.1
I definitely wouldn’t have imagined there would’ve been.
Two different foam cannons. He went from armor all to mjjc. The mjjc is a very sought after foam cannon by detailer and extremely high end compared to the cheap foam cannons out there.
Where do you get the 1.1 office to replace the other one.
Thanks
The MJJC 2.0 Pro comes with the 1.1 as a secondary
I haven’t washed the video yet but I believe the chemicals guy is going to win
What's your alternative to bead maker??
2:08 As a soapmaker, I would like to verify that the people who are claiming this, is correct! Distilled water is what is most recommend. However, deionized water or reverse osmosis water, etc... are good alternatives. This is because soap doesn't bind well to the minerals in water. These minerals will react with the soap in a negative way, and reduce the cleaning ability of the soap. The harder your water (soft water vs hard water), the lower results that the soap will get when mixed with the tap water.
In your test that you mention wanting to perform (idk if you have done the test yet or not), but unless you have hard water then you might not see a very big difference in the foaming ability. Soft water vs hard water, makes a big difference in the cleaning (and foaming) ability of a soap.
Would love to see Adam’s mega foam and any of the gyeon products compared
It foams better with DI or distilled water because the minerals do not cause the soap to break down and when coming into contact. Warm water also works better. Filling cannon with soap and distilled water is great if you don’t have DI water
You turn the top nozzle all the way to the positive right side, which is more water less foam, if you turn it more to the left negative side, it's less water more foam.
3D wash and wax best of the best! 10 buck for a gallon!!!
Hey Josh,
So my question is that I wonder if I can mix the chemical guys foam soap honeydew with the hydrosuds high-gloss hyper foaming si02 ceramic car wash soap into a cannon that I bought from harbor freight would work out???
What's the best product to use with coatings. Dont want waxes to worsen great coatings.
I prefer the maguires over mr pink as I have found mr pink can strip wax even though it’s not supposed to.
Hot water is the difference maker and a water softener in your system even if household. You will notice a big difference in suds
you should try griots garage brilliant finish car wash!
Please try out superior products cherry foam it's $11.79 a gallon you can pick it up at O'Reilly great video 👌
The whole point of a pre-wash is to remove as much dirt as possible, so surely it would be better to test the cleaning power of each product rather than how much it foams?
I love a product that foams as much as everyone else but I see from testing on other channels that some runny foams actually have better cleaning power.
true but there's really no way to thoroughly and evenly test that at all. Hell if you wanted maximum cleaning power, everyone would be using dawn haha. People also use the foam as lubricant as they scrub car with washmit which is why the more foam the better.
The key word here is FOAM cannon...
Testing the foam is most visual. Testing the cleaning power between all of them is very tricky but I’m trying to figure out a way to do it!!
Check out a channel called Alfie Detailing. He's a detailer out of Indonesia who tests the cleaning power of a lot of snow foams. For an amateur production, he has a lot of positives with his testing process:
1) The roads in Indonesian must be ROUGH, cause his white car is always filthy, which happens to be a perfect test bed for cleaning power
2) He pre-rinses with a pressure washer. This seems to be the most basic step, but so many people test cleaners of all sorts without doing a pre-rinse. If you don't do a pre-rinse, you have no idea if it's the pressure washer or the chemical doing the actual work when you pressure wash the chemical off
3) I think the bluntness of other cultures is hilarious and get a kick out of his videos lol
To save you time - regular car soaps in a foam cannon don't do anything in terms of pre-cleaning, and a pre-rinse with a pressure washer is going to remove more dirt than a regular car soap & foam cannon ever will. You need a dedicated pre-rinse product, otherwise you're wasting your money. The only dedicated pre-rinse products that seem to work right now are Bilt Hamber Touchless and Auto Foam, Autobrite Magifoam, and CarPro Lift. Griots Garage has a product called Foaming Surface Prep that I haven't seen tested yet, but it looks like it might be promising
Bilt Hamber
Can you try Superior Products Cherry Foam or Dirt Buster?
Hey Josh, great videos but I have a request for you. I know you've mentioned that you don't like using soaps with wax in them or the new soaps called ceramic but they work for some of us guys, could you make a video on which soap with wax performs the best?
If he were to test, make sure to add the Koch-Chemie NanoMagic Shampoo to the mix.
Auto drive soap 😍😍😍
