- Chemical guys just release a new car wash soap called STICKY SNOWBALL Ultra Foaming Car Wash Soap. If you've seen my past videos about foam cannon soaps, you know that I prefer thick foam that sticks to the panel so that it can have more time to break down the dirt and contamination on the vehicle. The fact that this has sticky in the name made me very intrigued. I knew I had to get some and test it out.. ENJOY!!!

Thanks for the time you take to review the products. I agree with the reason the soaps need to have a thick lather. Just like shaving cream the thick lather and slickness provides a cushion to avoid cuts, so the car also needs a thick slick lather to provide cushion so the car doesn’t get “cut “

great viddeo glad to see you capitalizing on the awesome foam cannon wish id waited and bought it from you ... might have to get two ... i use a chemical guys soap called blacklight and in my opinion it out preforms mega foam but price point is similar . i will be picking up the new snowball foam soon
I also just bought a bottle of sticky Snowball and it works amazing with the Chemical Guys TORQ foam cannon! Once I go through this small bottle, I'll probably buy the gallon version!
Do you think it foams more than Honey Doo Snowfoam?
@@lightningsmokerXx I think it might foam a little better if at all. However, the cling is certainly better giving you more work time if you're using a wash mitt. I have gallons of honeydew, watermelon and maxi suds, and I used the Snowball first because I loved it so much. I'm going to go through my other products since I have so much shampoo, but I will certainly start ordering gallons of the snowball going forward. Hope this helps!

My new foam cannon that i just purchase from your website just arrive Everything looks just how I expected , The only sucky part is that I don't have any water connection in my garage And due to the cold temperatures I won't be able to use it until maybe April or March. Agree there the both the same and they stick well if using the MJJC Foam Cannon.
I always see people going nuts over foaming qualities. But how do these soaps actually clean. No one tests or seems to care about that at all lol

@@mikez6683for both you and op- foam isn’t about cleaning. In the professional detail world, the quality of foam is the most important part because it lifts the dirt particles and grit off the surface so they can be washed off before you do your contact wash.
There's been a bunch of test from 2 years up until now

Sub'd! Great comparison also. I'm a huge fan of Adam's. I've tried other new products from other brands over the years but in the end I always find myself sticking with Adam's. It gives me the results I'm after everytime.

@@2Shine55 if you have a foam cannon, definitely the mega foam from Adam's. If you don't their regular blue car shampoo works great also. And definitely look into CS3 or their graphite CS3. Great drying aid and good for a detail spray also.

@@2Shine55 gpm is more important than psi. The higher the gpm, the thicker foam you will get.

I've been using pressure washer since they started to replace the HOTSY steamer. My current pressure washer is 3,100 psi and 2+ gallons per minute.
I'm new to the foam cannon addition. Tried Purple Power 2oz not impressed; tried 02oz of Dawn dishsoap and WOW but doesn't clean! OK 2oz of Purple Power +2oz of Dawn and still disappointed at removal of road grime.
So to me a 5gal pale, soap and a window brush on a stick still beats technology!!!!
AT REMOVING ROAD GRIME!!!!!
I guess nothing beats good old elbow grease 💪🙃
I’m just looking into getting a foam cannon. I’ve watched several of your videos which seem to be the go to videos on CZcams. I love the change out on the orifice to 1.1. I also love the thickness and hang time of the soaps. Thank you for doing the seeking out of good or betterment products and equipment. I just have one comment. The main reason for all this to me is the effectiveness of the soap (foam) to impact the dirt, sap, bird bombs and grit that all our vehicles are subjected to on a daily basis. I think the real test to all of this is to apply these product to dirty surfaces. Give the foam a certain dwell time and then rub the surface with a mitten or just spray off the foam with water and see what products clean the best.
Maybe I’m missing something but isn’t that what most important and the objective of all this?

Adams mega foam is a great product and then I came across MTM hydro PerFoamance wild cherry soap and it was a game changer you should give it a try and do a review on it

Be advised though seems like the sticky snow foam has gloss enhancers unlike Adams mega foam or the Maxshine soap, added enhancers like wax or ceramic in soaps have been known to clog foam cannon filters.

This soap is amazing! Foams so well with an MJJC foam cannon. I’ve only complied with with Adam’s Mega Foam and it has it beat by a long shot.
A soap is amazing if it cleans, not if it foams. Most of these whipped cream foams don't clean worth a damn.

@@AB-80X these soaps your claiming “don’t clean worth a shit” are PH balanced soaps. There not meant to be super aggressive there meant for lubricating the washmit and pulling dirt particles down off the surface. Doing that while not taking off any waxes or coatings that’s on the vehicle.

Could you do some comparison review videos of how these products actually cut through the dirt on some really filthy cars.... I keep seeing comparisons of how much they "FOAM" on a relatively clean car, but that doesn't tell how good the soap is on disolving the dirt and grime off!

Would the difference in foam noted by the two different cannons impact actual cleaning effectiveness in the real world. At some point isn't there a dismissing return once the foam reaches a certain level?

Great video and I’m sure a lot of work..I think now to bring this series to a over the top end would be to see which of the top soaps have the best LUBRICITY in the 2 bucket method which is used together with the foam cannon.

Does thicker foam help in preventing it from getting baked into the windshield when washing in direct sunlight? The soap I use at the moment is on the runny side and doesn’t give me a lot of time to wash & rinse before it dries and leaves stains on the windshield

Tried ordering the snowball soap on amazon and said it will not be released until 29 December! Going to stop by local Chemical Guys store in hopes of getting some now.
Should retest , I did this test with 2 different foamers with their recommended dilution and the MegaFoam is the clear winner of thicker foam, and also easier to rinse off.
What do you recommend for spot free filtered rinse product?

I wonder myself if the product isn't running to a degree is it doing what it's designed to do! I was under the impression it was to strip and slide/fall away contamination but if it clings and stays put is it then just a soaking product? Don't get me wrong it's always a great experience!

I've watched a lot of videos regarding car soaps. It seems that the priority is foaming. Which in your opinion is the best at cleaning and pulling dirt off the car?

BTW, So confused and stuck after watching so many of your and other vids on the Ryobi horizontal 1900 vs Ryobi vertical 2000 vs Sunjoe SPX3220 (which has no real reviews even of the 3200 version) then thinking maybe to get a larger one for housework sometimes but still with the ability to be small to store, which would be in that range of Greenworks Pro 2700 which stays on and gave you a headache:) vs Ryobi 2300 which seemed wobbly. Any last minute tips? Either way, will go with the MJCC foam cannon and the uber flex or flexzilla 50'. TY

have you tried the armor all ceramic foam wash, i use a sun joe from wal mart with the 1.1 swap. although its not super thick . i feel it does amazing, my truck had zero water beading properties and after water just rolls off
I’ve used that sun joe with the 1.1 in one of my trucks for a while! It does a great job. I actually just gave it to a friend

I have the mjjc cannon and it has a tiny red rubber thing on top that fell out first use. Any idea what that is and is it needed or will I be fine without it???
Always been a Mega Foam fan. But I just recieved my bottle of sticky snow foam by CG and plan on using it tomorrow! Excited to see how well it works!

@@imjoshv I was pretty impressed with it! The smell is spot on 🍒 and it produced nice thick foam. Still thinking I like Mega Foam better. But the Sticky Snowball is a great option for when you're on a bit of a budget!

Bought your MJJC foam cannon and used the Chem Guys Sticky Snowball foam with 1.1 orifice and Active electric pressure washer. I used 2 and then 3 ounces of the foam with poor results. Very watered down and Far from thick foam hitting the car. Any trouble shooting recommendations? Thanks
Hi Josh. Thanks for reviewing this but I can't use it because my car has a matte finish paint (and the Sticky Snowball has gloss enhancers). I have been using Chemical Guys Meticulous Matte Auto Wash with a cheapy foam cannon ad I am not sure if lackluster foam is because of the cannon or the product or both. I just ordered your foam cannon so I will do my own test but would love to see you evaluate the MMAW like you just did for the for the Snowball.
