I think that most people that watch your videos have changed out the orifice to the 1.1 and swapped out the factory hose to a Uberflex. Nowhere have I seen any information on the actual form making part of the foam gun - the mesh inside the gun. Seen a couple of sellers on amazon but thats it. Are they all the same in all guns?
Maybe a short video on the maintenance of a foam gun - remove unused container foam - rinse inside of gun - storing unused foam?
Always love your videos.
Sounds like you read the users manual
Other than getting the hose connector turned around (watch out for that one), the machine is simple to put together and use czcams.com/users/postUgkxfQauTxLT0JLSvqkq10rD79TU4k0Vz8zP . And very nice, too. I'm surprised at the power-it's more than we'll ever need, and we've not even used the most powerful setting yet.I've cleaned off a dirty concrete porch to get it ready for sealing, started to clean siding, and I know this pressure washer will be terrific for cleaning tools this fall. The only issue we had is we had turned around the hose connector, and it leaked. Once it was on correctly, though, we had no problems with the connection. Just remember that the end with the green knob goes towards the hose. It's obvious now what we did wrong, but not necessarily obvious at the time.
Most consistent detail topic youtuber covering so many things for us who want to get into the detail game from diy to pro. Great stuff man. Thank you sir!
I have only used the Mr Pink and it is fantastic. I can wash in bright sunshine and rinses clean with no streaks. Thanks for all you have contributed.
Really appreciate you going through this detailed testing of these soaps
It seems like you’re mostly concerned with foaming action, but curious about other properties like actual cleaning performance (correlated to foaming but may not always be most foam = most clean) , slickness/lubrication for mit wash, how well it handles direct sun, scent, conditioners (shine/polish), etc.
Thanks for the constant and fast content. 👍
Keep up the great work bro
Huge fan of your videos Josh! always super thorough. I bought a heavy duty truck back in July. With winter right around the corner in Ohio I want to up my wash game to keep salts and brines from the road off my truck. Bought multiple of the products you've mentioned in your videos to get the job done. Thanks a million!
Id be interested to see the Chem-X Stars and stripes two part touchless wash if you ever get around to it!
These videos have been helpful. Thank you so much
Jeremy over at the Hawaii Tesla Detailing channel did a very thorough foam cannon battle with about 15 to 20 different foam cannon soaps going head to head and had the same final result. Adams Mega Foam won every single battle he had and was the final winner by far. Adams Mega Foam is currently the king of the foam cannon soaps.
Adams is made by underage slave kids and is over priced!
That foam is gimmick, CarPro Reset is better and have better cleaning ability
@@Carlos.Rivera I'm sure you are correct in some way probably. I've had really good luck using FEYNLAB Pure. That stuff has some really good cleaning ability, even more so than Reset in my opinion but I haven't used Reset in quite a few years now so CarPro has probably updated their formula a few times since I last used that one.
@@Carlos.Rivera And it can strip sealants and waxes if you just want cleaning you could use Koch Chemie AF or Super Foam which would probably clean better than reset. Depends on what you are looking for. For pure Foam Mega is king.
cleanliness is much more important than just saying a product produces allot of foam. Looks neat but does it really do the job?
Technicians Choice says it's PH neutral but not good in direct sunlight. I prefer lubrication over just suds, I think I will try Mr Pink. Thanks for these great series!
mr pink is great it also does well in the sun
This helps so much, very appreciative
Great job and thanks for your review of foaming car wash soaps!
G'day Josh
Really love your work. It's great that you give us a price breakdown, but we really get hammered with cost here in Australia.
Awesome video! Thank you for taking the time to review all the different products.
Thank you for actual relevant cost stats.
I just got a Flexzilla 50' hose and love it! Great vids!
I would agree that Adam's is the winner as well. Thank's for taking the time to do all these videos! Not sure if you'll even need to contact wash that part of the truck 😄!
Holy Smokes! I have watched ALL the soap reviews. If I had known you would boil them all down to one showdown... I'm just about out of my Costco gallone of Meguiar's Gold Class soap, and pulled the trigger on the gallon of Adam's Mega Foam. Thanks for doing all the heavy lifting on this, no small feat! All I had to do was click the link you provided. Thank you!
Glad to help!
And this is why I ALWAYS go back to Adams Mega Foam... lol I knew this was going to win! :)
Thank you for doing these!
👍👍
Already order mr pink 💗
Awsome video
I honestly enjoyed adams more than any of the other soaps I've used and the shine it left on my car was amazing.
please tell me 2 ounces to what???? A gallon of warm water?? A foam cannon container??? HELP THANKS
@@kneegrow6293 it really depends on your foam canon, and the pressure washer you use. I have used several foam canons and the amount of water varied for each one. A simple test is to add water to your foam canon container and spray your car like you would if it had soap in it. When you figure out how many ounces it takes to get around the car, add the two ounces of soap to that amount of water and spray again. That should give you the most foam with zero waste at the end. Oh, and use warm or hot water in the container.
Definitely will have to try Adam’s Mega Foam when the time comes
Rn, rocking the Mr. Pink because I got it for $30 a gallon and it felt like a really good deal
All soaps put out good suds (foam), and since I am a DIY and not a pro detailer, then I will go with Mr. Pink because of the cost. Thanks for your video.
Had to go ahead and try Grape and Glow for underdogs sake. Best value and still top 4!
another great video. you have become my go to guy for reviews on detailing... What's your opinion on chemical guys Maxi-Sudds ?
Great video! Would love to see you review IGL Ecoclean Blizzard snow foam.
Thanks for the informative video. Is this there a reason for spraying all of them on the same area of the truck? Seems like it would be a more level comparison spraying each product on a separate section.
Great mini series comparison, after I watched your video I pulled the plug went to Lowe’s and bought the craftsman 2100 psi electric pressure washer lol, now I’m ordering the hose, foam cannon and other things you recommended, thanks Josh 👍😁
I got some product ideas off him too. Dude is helping all of us out! What do u think of the pressure washer? My cheap one from Amazon is kind of asking to be returned. thinking a more powerful one, even if it's just for my car, is a better route
@@zerocal76 I absolutely love this pressure washer, I’ve used it four times now and it’s been working great, I would recommend it so far 👍
Another useful video. Quick question, what is the shorty wand you love, and also what/who makes your rinse off nozzle?
I have been using Barbasol, it's more cost but what a foam!!!
Lmfao, good one
Great job!
Adam's wins again as it does in just about every foam test video. But Mr. Pink is a great alternative.
Nice job! I still say, at least for the non-pro, you can't beat Mr. Pink.
Hi Josh. I am a new subscriber. All of your contact is very helpful. I just had my new car ceramic coated using Igl Kenzo. So, I was looking at their foam cannon soap called Blizzard. Wondering if you have ever done a review on this or have any input about it. Thanks.
Awesome foam from all of them.
SDS Technicians Choice TEC472 Grape and Glow shows a PH 7.5 with a side note it could be +/- 0.5. So it tested in a range from 7.0 to 8.0.
Great video series….Thank you
Thanks David!
Foam is pretty, which one cleans better? I really like your videos!
Try out the Adam’s Car Shampoo and see how it compares to Mega Foam
Hi Josh. Have used most of what you have tested. I’m, not sure if you tested KochChemie Gsf Gentle Snow Foam, but would love to see this tested as well as NV Car Care’s NV Snow and Snow+. Thanks for your great channel. lloyd
id like to see a dedicated mjjc "does it foam?" test /review of different soaps budget and proprietary foam cannon soap... im talking dollar store budget. the cannon imo is the best budget option available
Damn boi, that's THICK! Honestly though, you are an excellent reviewer and I greatly appreciate your reviews and unbiased testing; Josh, THANK YOU!
Thank so much! I really appreciate it
Cleanest 4Runner I’ve seen in a minute.
Good stuff 👍🏾
IMJOSHV do you have a video on what brush you use after using a foam cannon? I would think you use some kind of hand mitt or something. Thanks for the awesome videos
Was wondering if you compared soaps with waxes and soaps without waxes and how that may effect foam levels cleaning ability rinse etc? Unsure if that made the qualifications. If so perhaps a follow up video testing both types against one another from each company! IE grape glow is wash/wax vs megafoam is strictly a detergent. I just think comparing apples to oranges.
well done Josh
Xtreme Suds from Xtreme Solution. I will say you having DI water does help the soaps to foam better.
Ordered some of the Adam’s foam. Hope it cleans as well as it foams. That would make an interesting follow up with your winners. What is efficacy of the product.
I just bought the Sun Joe 2030psi pressure washer and got the Amazon Foam Cannon with Chemical Guys Honey Dew. I think it’s the honey dew that isn’t the greatest. I changed to a 1.1mm orifice and it did make it slightly thicker but not 100% happy. Assuming it’s the soap
Can you test Meguiars gold class and see how well it does as a foam soap vs mega foam
Great job, Josh. I use the Mega Foam and it does foam like crazy. But I also ordered the gallon size of Grape and Glow so I can’t wait to try it, too.
How was the result, Bro?
@@dodyh657 Forgot to follow up after I used it. The Grape and Glow makes excellent thick foam. I like it. I alternate using it with the other foams I have.
@@2020Tundra Have you ever tried touchless car wash?
@@dodyh657 I have… McKee’s is the one I’ve used a couple times. I prefer the traditional wash method, however.
@@2020Tundra Thanks Bro for sharing it with me 👍
Mr Pink is on its way, a gallon. That shit will last me over a year. Thanks for the videos.
thanks
Which one lubricated the surface the best and felt the most slick? As to not leave swirl marks when using a microfibre mitt to wipe down.
Thank you!
👍👍
Could you possibly try a soap product from the brand Ethos I believe and it's called "Foam Party". It was mentioned in the comments on the first or second video of the foam cannon series. I subscribed during this and am a complete noob to the whole foam cannon washing. I have to pay for my water usage in my town so trying to weigh if I want to go the whole pressure washer route or not. 🍻
Much better than March Madness.
You should try Gtechniq W1 Gwash and GYEON Quartz Q2M Bathe
Hey Josh how about trying the Turtle Wax Pure Wash Slick n Slide
You should try Meguiar's Deep Crystal Car Wash
Would the Adam's Mega Foam be ok on a Tesla Y with PPF ? Thanks ! Very informative Videos.
This series would be cool with spray quick detailers
Hey mate, how much would your setup be? For pressure wqsher, hose, branch, foam cannon and so on?
Husband loves it!!
Hey Josh how do you set your water dail on your mjjc cannon???
Would like you to test:
Duragloss 902 Car Wash
Been using this for a while My former fav was Meguiars Gold Class.
Wanna see what you think of the Duragloss 902. Don't see many review this, but seems to have very favorable reviews...
I wish you would have done Mr Pink at 1 ounce to compare to Adams
Can the Mr Pink be used as a bucket wash as well as a cannon wash?
Would you do a review on the Sun Joe pineapple snow foam car wash?
can you try the sonax actifoam energy?
You should try the ultra foam by Adam polishes
What the best soap for 2 bucket contact wash? Would Adams be best for both?
gonna have to try adams out brother
So im new to the detail business and watched all ur vids, they HELPED SO MUCH MAN. I really appreciate u making these videos, makes it easier on over thinkers like myself.
I had a few particular questions!
1. What foam soap would be best for cars with a ceramic coat and which foam soap would be good for cars without ceramic coating?
Same thing for a spray and shine formula for the exterior. Which would u recommend for a ceramic coated car and a non ceramic coated car?
I feel like some clients just want their car washed real quick and others want the detail side, so i want to make sure i have the right stuff for both type of clients!!
Thanks, and much love bother!!
Any PH Neutral soap will be fine and not damage the coating... However, if you want you can use a ceramic infused soap. It wont harm the coating and it will add al little boost. For the spray and shine i use this amzn.to/388E92L on all cars wether they are ceramic coated or not. It works amazing and adds another layer of hydrophobic properties!
Foaming is great but any idea which soap had the best lubrication?
Also, you're using the foam as a pre-wash? After you rinse the foam off, how are you washing - are you foaming again and them using a mitt to agitate and a rinse bucket or back to the traditional 2 bucket method?
you should try Superior Products Cherry Foam the gallon is usually less than $20 and they sell it at oriellys
Great video so here’s my situation, I have one of Amazon inexpensive ($20) foam cannon and I tried changing the 1.1 mm orifice too but still not getting thick foam. Using chemical guys mr. Pink soap. Orifice that came with cannon creates better foam than with 1.1 mm. But it’s still runny. Any recommendations? Other than return this and buy expensive ones?
Grape and Glow is ph neutral. According to Amazon's Q & A answer from the company.
Please explain your dilution ratios
Hi Josh i didnt see any notation or anything in the description of the video stating you found out if the technicians choice soap was pH nuetral. I happy to report that according to the material safety data sheet this is pH neutral. 7.5 pH with a +- of 0.5.
You should try 1320 sudz car wash soap
Great video series! But how about doing a test on which one strips off dirt better without using a pressure washing rinse. Maybe take a dirty panel and foam Cannon the soap on and see which one sheets off the most dirt.
I think thats a video suited more to 'project farm' channel.
@@rehanhasan1560 not really! Comparison of soap really should be for which one cleans the best.
I think from the beginning he stated these videos were geared to show which “foam” the best
@@davidbaca7853 who cares how foamy it is if it doesn't clean.
@@davidbaca7853 if that's the case then I could just put Dawn dishwashing liquid in my foam canon and get the best foam!
There is a company in Puerto Rico named UM Distributors they sell different brands and they also have their brand UM. They have good stuff, you need to try their car wash foam. They also have a product called Flushing. Nice product.
Love your videos man, I just wanted to know if all that foam is actually even touching the car or encapsulating anything? Is it really worth it to have that much foam on the vehicle?
Yes it’s very worth it. Soap clings to dirt the more foam in your soap the better it will clean.
can you please try BILT HAMBER ?, i'd love to hear your comments on this product, many thanks.
Can you try renegade sud storm car shampoo please
which one cleans the best as a prewash?
What about this vs Adam's Ultra Foam? That seems to be even better according to their website?
Grape and Glow, still no PH info. Does a good job. Thick slippery long-lasting foam. Really pulls of road film. It's really noticeable on a white F150.
Do you use distilled water to mix with the soap?
Would you recommend any of the these for gel coat or fiber glass with decals? I would prefer not to buy different foam soaps for RV and Truck
Good info. i’m looking at a foam gun and soap to use with my pressure washer. I have some Adam products already and still haven’t used them.
will check out links. and any recommendations from anyone is helpful.
how about testing koch chemie GSF vs adams
Dawn blue dish soap
I'm just starting out and I need a pressure washer to start off I watch all your videos and subscribed no clue on a brand I wanna spend 150.00
The spec sheet on Amazon says that the MJJC Pro comes with a 1.25 orifice. Are you sure that it is a 1.1 orifice?
I’ve been really liking 3d I have a shop 2 mins away and I love their prices and the ppl there it’s cheaper then the detail shop I get water from, and I’ve been wanting to try the 3D pink soap Va the mr pjnk, I loveee mr pjnk it does the job but 25 for half a gallon ? Eh I wanna try the 3d have y’all ?
