No one talks about the negative feelings one can feel when they see the positive pregnancy test. I wasn't excited. I was feeling the opposite. I never wanted kids. I said that for YEARS. However, my daughter is 13 months and I couldn't be happier with how my life is. I can't imagine life without her. She is my whole universe. I know that feeling of anxiety and overall sadness when seeing the pink line. You're not alone.

I’m watching this at 40 weeks pregnant just waiting for my baby to arrive! I had a really rough first half of pregnancy both mentally and physically. I wasn’t happy to be pregnant and then I was very sick on top of it, basically bed ridden with hyperemesis. I must say the second half of pregnancy has been so much better and now I’m actually excited to meet my baby.

Congratulations! ❤ I have two kids and (as a very emotional person) I was expecting to be all teared up in the scans. But I was more gobsmacked and had hard time understanding there was a real human inside me (even with the 2nd one). I thought that when I'm given the baby after labor I crash in tears, but no - I just said "Hey dude" and was overwhelmed thinking I had to take this human home while the midwives seemed more excited than me. It took me few weeks after labor to get to know my kids and fall in love with them on my own rhythm (and I love them madly now). I think we are given a lot if preasure to have extremely intensive feelings of love that overtakes everything else about our baby starting the second the pregnancy test shows positive. If you don't the society seems to think you failed as a mom before it even really even started. I'm happy you can also talk about the uncertaintity and fear as pregnancy (and parenthood) is so many more feelings than just #blessed. I wish all the best to you and your growing family. Girl. When I found out I was pregnant the 2nd time (I had been pregnant once before and didn't know until I miscarried) I was devastated! At least when I miscarried before I didn't know I was pregnant, so there was no time to really mourn a loss. But the 2nd time, I knew, and I was so scared that since I'm aware now, it's going to hurt if I lost him this time. I almost didn't want to keep him because I didn't want to get attached. Well, that was 6 years ago and I'm such a happy mother of a beautiful boy! I fucking love being a mother.

I'm due Nov 19! I always love your Halloween decorate with me videos and I love that I get to go through this new season of life "alongside" you! I was nauseated from 6 to 16 weeks with extreme smell aversion to everything including my house and my husband. I got sick mid may and the coughing fits would trigger my gag reflex and cause me to vomit. Thats literally the only times I threw up so im still salty about that. Oh, and we are also having a girl!
I had the same feelings in the beginning, I was so scared and freaking out. Each trimester got better and better for me mentally. I'm currently 37 weeks/ 4 days and I'm ready to meet him. I'm so excited for you congratulations!!

When you talked about not having a big reaction getting ultrasounds, I felt the same way. The pregnancy honestly doesn't feel real until until you're holding the baby I'll be honest haha. At least for me.
Sarah I don't know if you will see my comment but I am a mother of a three year old and if I could give you any advice from one very sensitive person to another, the post partum depression is REAL. Just look after yourself and don't forget to take time for you. It's so easy in those first couple months to feel like you are simply a caregiver to your newborn and you can lose your identity. So please if you feel like you are losing it go seek help!!! Have Ryan help you and let you take breaks. ALSO! I wanted to breast feed SO bad but it just wasn't working and for the first couple days my son was basically starving. So we gave in and switched to formula and he is so happy and healthy. Don't feel ashamed if you have to do that. A fed baby is a happy baby. I love you and I know you are going to be an amazing mother. ❤️❤️❤️

I also dropped birthcontrol end of Dec start of Jan due to my husband and his cousin convincing me that it was causing me more emotional problems than I needed. Found out I was pregnant Feb 22nd. Was few days before my period was due. I had sore breasts and an odd suspicion that I might have been, so I took two tests that day, two the next day. That Friday I went to my doctors office to confirm it. Currently 25 almost 26 weeks. I was pretty excited, but I was scared to share with my mother in law, but she has come to accept it and is also super happy to be a grandma. I'm so happy for you. Hope you have a great rest of your pregnacy.

I am so scared of the changes that will happen to my body. I literally feel like I am “mourning” the loss of my body pre pregnancy!

It’s a huge change! I felt the same way. Sometimes I still do and my kids are 22 and 15.

I'm due Nov 19! I always love your Halloween decorate with me videos and I love that I get to go through this new season of life "alongside" you! I was nauseated from 6 to 16 weeks with extreme smell aversion to everything including my house and my husband. I got sick mid may and the coughing fits would trigger my gag reflex and cause me to vomit. Thats literally the only times I threw up so im still salty about that. Oh, and we are also having a girl!

When you talked about not having a big reaction getting ultrasounds, I felt the same way. The pregnancy honestly doesn't feel real until until you're holding the baby I'll be honest haha. At least for me.
Sarah I don't know if you will see my comment but I am a mother of a three year old and if I could give you any advice from one very sensitive person to another, the post partum depression is REAL. Just look after yourself and don't forget to take time for you. It's so easy in those first couple months to feel like you are simply a caregiver to your newborn and you can lose your identity. So please if you feel like you are losing it go seek help!!! Have Ryan help you and let you take breaks. ALSO! I wanted to breast feed SO bad but it just wasn't working and for the first couple days my son was basically starving. So we gave in and switched to formula and he is so happy and healthy. Don't feel ashamed if you have to do that. A fed baby is a happy baby. I love you and I know you are going to be an amazing mother. ❤️❤️❤️

I also dropped birthcontrol end of Dec start of Jan due to my husband and his cousin convincing me that it was causing me more emotional problems than I needed. Found out I was pregnant Feb 22nd. Was few days before my period was due. I had sore breasts and an odd suspicion that I might have been, so I took two tests that day, two the next day. That Friday I went to my doctors office to confirm it. Currently 25 almost 26 weeks. I was pretty excited, but I was scared to share with my mother in law, but she has come to accept it and is also super happy to be a grandma.
