I thought you said "wonky take off, wonky landing", which would be really fun features for a drone imo
I like people who review stuff in detail 👌
Thank very much for the review awesome 👏
Awesome review, I just subscribed!
Thank you!
I bought one and ran into a weird problem: As soon as it is pointed directly into a headwind, it will auto-descend and touch down (not terribly gently) unless I hold wide open "throttle", in which case it'll touch down gently. I tested over the course of three battery packs of flights and it does it every time. All calibrations done every time, and flown both connected to a phone app, and with the phone turned off. Any thoughts? Apparently Eachine does not provide support as their website says "we'll return your message" but offer no phone or email :-(
Hi, does it save the drone' position gps coordinates inside the photos? Geotagged?
I like your reviews^^
Thank you!
I love the drone
great video!, what kind of devil did you summon to make the drone shots look so good?
i'm thinking about getting this one too, but some reviews say it can't adjust camera angle on the remote and some say it can, and some 5g models tend to not work at all
so may i ask which one's you got? 2.4g or 5g?
I like the inspector gadget music.
great video!
Thank you!
My drone looses connection once it's in the air like it slowlys comes down and lands , any idea how i can fix this ?
Great video, I was wondering whether buy it or not considering it's my first drone but definitely I'm buying it.
how was it.
Do you like it
You have a great set up for shooting video
in the the blue room
Hi MCPhoney tks by your video,
as you see some of users owners E520S, need know how you record video on E520S. can you help us and tell how you record video - if on the App LW-FPV on smartphone (480p) or on SDcard inserted on E520S camara (1080p). Need also know wich type of formatation SDCard have , and wich class quality Sdcard have. Can you help us, about it..
Tks by your effort to do that.
Joaquim
Hi Joaquim, no probs about the quations:
So to record video:
I had an SD card in the drone to record the video. It has to be a "Class 10" memory card too. (the one I sued for this video was a Scandiisk Ultra 32gb class 10 Micro SD card)
On the app the are two symbols on the right hand side. One of a camera and one of a video camera. (You can see them at 10:36 on the video) If you wish to take a snap shot push the camera button and if you wish to start recording a video then press the video camera button below it.
Hope that helps! Let me know if you have any more questions!
What sd card do you use? Im having problems recording and saving to my memory card
I used a Scan Disc Class 10 32gb micro SD card. But personally as long as it is a "class 10" one then it should work fine. Hope you got it sorted either way!
How do you get the app in Metric (meters)
It is in feet when I downloaded it.
thank you for your review it really helps. but i cant find the 360 grad flip button does it have the flip function?
Yes, i know its been 11 months...
no unfortunately. Debating whether i should get it. Might be a deal breaker for me lol
what cell phone are you using?
you convince me is very good i like it
yes
Is there anything I need to do to set it up with a micro SD card? I got one and it won't record anything onto the SD card controlling it without a phone.
Read on some reviews that the SD card simply doesn't work, it doesn't record anything to it
Hi, will the drone follow you, and adjust for change of altitude at the same time?, for instance if you were riding up hills?
Fjdjxjdjzjd
GET THE APP
I like it
What’s the name of the app. My manual lost and I didn’t get to us my drone could you help me how to get it download without a manual or something
Do any of these apps work/available?
EACHINE FLY
or
Eachine TEC
thanks for the review. I purchased this 520s and it works pretty well with one problem.
After flying for about 10 mins it wants to land randomly. It does take off again, but will want to land again soon after. I wonder if anyone has this issue ? I think it has to do with a low battery, the beeping for low battery warning doesn't start until later.
What percentage is the battery at when it tries to auto land?
@@timothybullard3641 I'm not sure since I've been flying without the app
Maybe around the 15 minute mark did I encounter that problem but by that point I was recieving the low battery beeping. Have you solved it yet? How does your footage look?
@@mcphoney last time I flew it, the problem still happened.
@@noelmackisoc5329 it sounds like the drone automatically returns to home on low power so you don't lose the drone.
Does the Eachine 520s Camera work with Goggles, enjoyed you Video, Ken H
Ken hemsell Hi Ken, apologies about the late reply. Unfortunately I can’t say as I haven’t got goggles to test out with this drone. However after a bit of research I’ve discovered that Eachine themselves do make there own brand of goggles so technically I would assume they would work, but also I can’t seem to find any that state if they work with this model of drone or not. I’m a bit lost on that question I’m afraid!
Sorry I couldn’t be more precise!
When you opened the box the drone resembled a Poundland ,,only DJI drones are worth buying in my opinion,,I used to fly a Hubson and that was ok,,but no comparison to the DJI range
How long do the motors last. I got the hubsan h502c as well as h502s and the motors die after about 10- 20 flights😠😠
Is.this.drone acaully worth it i just bought on and it no where the size they advertised
As a qualified pilot It's well worth mentioning that legally in the UK (and most countries) you can not just take a drone like this out of the box and go fly, you MUST by law register for an Operator ID with the CAA with all drones (which must be clearly printed on a sticker on the drone, there are even rules on sticker size) but because this one is over 250g (even before the prop guards) you also need to get a Flyer ID and you need to take the UAV test that goes with it (there are LOTS of rules, like that drone can't be flown near people or buildings because of the weight class). You must also keep the drone in visual line of sight at all times and as of January you also need to be able to see the direction it's pointing without using the camera.
Your country is ridicolous !!!! No freedom people !!! Pay taxes sheep and shut up!!!!
How much is the weight of the drone?
very beautiful video! How can I see how far I can go with the drone? or does the drone just crash if it is too far away?
150 meter
@@KyleAir23 no you dont understand the question... I mean will the drone crash if she is too far away or will she come back to the start position?
@@mimedou most drones I've used just drift until it reconnects to the controller, so whatever speed/direction you are headed when you lose connection, it will continue until it reads another input from the controller
@@KyleAir23 ok, thanks for answer... do you know if the eachine e520s so the drone in the Video comes back?
So.... If the drone drifts too far ,it disconnects from the controller and if it cant reconnect it probably just drifts until the batteries die and then its lost somewhere and you have a drone hunt .
Dont fly it too much over water 😝
I lost my QR code for my drone how can I get to access the camera
Bardzo fajny film i poradnik ja mam mavic e90 pro
I found the photography feature frustrating.
On the controller, there's a camera button that does both photos and videos.
Operating it is not intuitive and the manual is silent on it.
Photography is easier with the mobile app.
Good video, but could you do a video on the other functions i.e how well does the follow me function work? Cheers
Hello bro how to book the drone to India how do payment☺☺☺
Shocking!
I love DJI
Soo much
just bought this from amazon on prime day
What app does it use plz tell me
I want to too
does the phone need sim card in order to connect with drone or can it be just used without?
bpdtm As long as your phone can connect to the drone via wifi, and you have the app, then you don’t need to use a sim card because the footage/photos will be directly transferred to your phones camera roll.
Is there actually a affordable drone that actually shoots in 4K, or are the only option above the 1000€ range?
Mavic air 2
Could you send me the app link pls.
HAve you tried recording to the SD card, thats supposedly the only way to record above 1080P. But Myself and others are reporting that the drone will not record to the SD card.
I read somewhere that it requires a class 10 SD card whatever that is. I've ordered this drone from Amazon and will be buying an advanced SD to make sure it records in real time and in HD
Yes thats the only way I recorded it, Used a class 10 memory card too. Still seems to be not quite 4k and in slow motion. Maybe it was me or I set it up wrong but being honest I cant see how. Has anyone else had this issue?
How did you get on?
I don’t believe that this drone films in slow motion. It might be a glitch in the actual video transmission. Has it continued to film video in that slow motion after the filming of this video?
I havent tried it again as of yet, but will do soon and let you know! (Trying to get my son to do some flying with it!) I do think something maybe wrong or maybe its something I have done but for the review I did try quite a few flights and all the footage came back the same. Strange!
Can I get the app on the apple store
Image quality from drone looked more 720 HD than 4K. For the price, not surprised but, comparable to a spark? Not even closed.
Hey!!! Just Very Curious... Please Do Reply...Is Its Camera Position Adjustable????
Zain Bhai No unfortunately not, just a fixed camera I’m afraid! shame really! :-(
Thank You Sir!!🤞
No probs! 👌
@@mcphoney it is manually adjustable but not during flight
MCPHONEY...does the drone have remote return capability?
Hi Frankin, I’ve just replied to this on another thread but thought best put it here just in case too! 👌
Hi all apologies for the late reply! Now I haven’t tested it myself as I haven’t got this drone anymore however I’ve just downloaded the driver and although slightly confusing from what I gather it says the drone has 3 return functions.
1) A return button via the controller option.
2) Out if Control Return - for when the signal from the controller is lost
3) Low battery return. If the battery is running low and you are flying above 20metres it will try and return to its starting point.
But it also states it need major a good GPS signal to do this and that if any obstacles get in the way during its return flight it will not manoeuvre around them.
So yes it does return if it looses signal from the controller but must have a good gps signal in order to do this.
You can check out the manual here and see pages 16 and 17.

Hope that helps and sorry I couldn’t be more precise!
Dose it have a sd card slot
4 Triple A batteries was needed for the controller
I crashed my drone into water accidentally, (accidentally pressed the flip button) and ever since the crash, it does this really annoying thing where after like 30 seconds of perfectly fine flight, it just lands itself for some reason (with new controller batteries and fully charged drone battery). What could be causing that?
Did you ever find out the problem?
@@earlyculyer4103 I think the circuitboard stuff inside is probably ruined
i want to see how the camera works up and down because i try mine its not working..😐😐😐
where did you buy it
I got mine from banggood.com, ive placed links in the video description too. Hope that helps!
thanks 😁
is video/photo quality worse when capturing straight to the phone as opposed to the micro sd card?
Quality will differ only by a little. The reason you want to use an SD card is because the footage won't be jittery and instead it will be smooth.
I have ordered this drone today😙😙
Hope you like it! 👌
@@mcphoney thanks you 🙏🏼
@@dancingpro9329 how is it so far? Rating out of 10???
For 4k camera , the quality is 👎. Very good review and thanks for the demonstration of the drone. Pre-owned ones are like $30 on eBay. I would recommend this simply for learning purposes.
Yes totally agree, the camera is unfortunately very low quality for a supposed 4K one!
Still it’s a good little drone and if you can get them for $30 then go for it!
I’ve currently got another drone from “Temu” awaiting testing….Im expecting it to be “no so good”!
The Mystery...
What app do you use plz
Hi there, the app I used on the iPhone was Eachine FPV, Hope that helps! 👌
Which one is better to buy E520s or E511s????
e 520
I've been researching and I think the E511S is the better of the two. As reflected in the price difference.
Cody Bess e520s has 4K and 5g WiFi
@@abravesman64
Honestly, I have no way to confirm that the 520s is truly 4k (don't believe everything you read online) true the 511s has 1080p but it takes really good vids and pics. As far as the 5g wifi, I think the 2 have the same range capabilities. Again, I can't believe all I hear. Even from eachine directly. For instance, the link to the flight app shows camera tilt control yet download it and tell me where those buttons are..... I can't find them. They are a hungry company and will do anything to make a buck, unfortunately , because they have some really decent products. eachine (in my opinion) puts out the exact same drone with a different model numbers. E511s, E520, E58. As well as claims by unknown company's like "Drone X Pro" having awfully similar products. (Highly suspicious!!)
I know this for sure, that 511s has a gimbel allowing for in flight tilting of the camera, 520 is adjustable by hand only. And i don't think (could be wrong) the 520 has a functional GPS system, which in it self would be a deal breaker due to all of the features being reliant on GPS. What good is 4k if you can't take stable footage?
So you saying is not a very good 4k? Or you mean is close enough
To be honest looking back at the footage it looks more like 720p! Plus I still havent worked out why everything goes in slow motion when filming. Could be a fault on my actual drone itself as I havent found anything in the settings. For the price though this is a great drone, but if you want truly stunning visuals then it maybe best splashing out a bit more. Hope that helps!
it's a dji Mavic clone
Hi everyone i am going to Jamaica for 2 weeks and wondered if ill able to take it with me without any problems of using it on the beach ? , Iv not even open it yet and not a clue were to start as the wife brought it me im 60 years old so all ppl who as a bit of patience id like to add on face book and try to use my e520 drone many thanks ..
Iv just opened mine up and only got the 1 battery in the drone but no extras not a good start lol
Hi Robert, To be honest I cant see there being much of a problem in flying your drone in Jamaica as long as you adhere to their guidelines. If you click on the link below it gives a basic over view for you. Most of it is pretty simple, for example; dont fly over crowds, dont fly near airports etc. But have a little read just to make sure. :-)
uavcoach.com/drone-laws-in-jamaica/
Sorry to hear you only got the one battery option, is there definitely not any more beneath the plastic packaging inside or one already in the drone?
If not dont worry you can still fly it, just a bit less time per flight that's all.
You can also order more batteries if need be however my advice personally is to try and have a practice with the drone before you go on holiday and before you order any more batteries. If you are a beginner like me then you may need to get use to it at first.
Its great fun though and Im sure you will have a lot of fun with it!
What app android?
Like from sri lanka
What a name 😂
Is this a 2.4G or 5G wi fi?
Pls. Answer
This is the 5G wifi model, hope that helps!
It' s better 2.4G or 5G
If you live in open spaces with no interference then 2.4G is supposedly better however if you live in an urban area then 5G would be better suited! 👌 Hope that helps
@@mcphoney ok thank you so much
Just to confirm btw this model also works on the 2.4G WiFi as well! 👌
I just got this & I can't for the life of me seem to get it to connect to the GPS & I can't use the cam. Not sure what I'm doing wrong.
Any joy yet?
@@mcphoney I still can’t get it to connect to the GPS. How long is it supposed to take cause nothing ever pops up on the app.
@@keba1126 How frustrating, it should only take seconds really. Maybe a minute at the most.
Does it come up on the app asking you to turn the drone clockwise (or anti clockwise can’t remember which).
I remember having trouble when I was in the studio but outside it was instant.
@@mcphoney Yes, I’ve been doing the calibration & nothing on the app ever pops up. It shows my location on the app but I don’t see any start button like the booklet says. And now I can’t even get the steady lights. Does it have anything to do with Bluetooth?
Hmm, so I’m trying to do this from memory as my cousin currently has the drone itself.
But I’ve just download the manual onto my phone and I’m just wondering do you have to connect your phone to the WiFi of the drone? (On phone search available networks and see if something comes up for the drone). I seem to remember that helping. You may have already done that though.
I don’t recall Bluetooth having anything to do with it so don’t think that is an issue.
And just to confirm (sorry but have to ask) I take it you have done all the bits where it says push the controller buttons 45degree left and right etc?
Btw are you doing this outside or in?
Send me some food I’m ill in bed with a cold
Ok
Did the camera up/down feature in the app actually move the drone's camera?
Unfortunately not, it does appear to be a static camera I’m afraid.
Mavic is mavic
But... how about seeing the pads while recording?... that's annoying
True, I did attempt it but because I was a bit useless at flying the drone I kept moving out of shot. You can see a few seconds of the footage near the end of the review but doubt it would be enough. I had a camera mounted on my head as well to try and record bits of the pad but 99% of that ended up being of the drone too! Apologies! ☹️
Lol 4K
Defo doesn’t look it does it!
Can I have that for free if you don't want haha lol
The drone is cool and all but the 4k camera is pretty disappointing ngl
no good drone, a beginner will crash it real fast, the price tells you every thing. so cheap is a cheap copy of the DJI mavic. if the footage looks awesome. is because they use good drones just to attract people, the images on this drone is not good. and the range. horrible i am new on this. and for my first video i UPLOADED as a newbie , is way better with the cheap mavic, note; when i flew it was windy too what a difference ,
very bad camera quality
What about all the buttons on the remote? Circle me, one touch take off and landing?? Does it have a follow me feature? Headless mode ? This was not a review of the drone, it was you learning how to do a fly by, which as you stated numerous times, you were not low enough and not very good at.
I learned more about your inability to fly and almost nothing about the product!! Eachine.... Send me a drone and I will review it properly !!
Apologies Cody, yes I did want to go into everything but I find if I do that then everyone complains that I go into too much detail. (Cant win! ha ha!) But as it was my first drone review I thought best just concentrate on its main features, the operation of the flying and the supposedly 4K camera. These are the features it has though, hope it helps!
Up/down, Forward/backward, Turn left/right, Sideward flight, 3-level flight speed, LED Light, GPS Positioning, Follow Me, Surrounding Flight, Waypoint Flight, Altitude Hold Mode, Headless Mode, One Key Return, One Key Takeoff /Landing,
excellent review. could you tell me exactly what battery type this uses? im trying to find other batteries online for it but am getting nowhere. i would like to purchase another 3 or 4 batteries so i can switch out batteries and keep flight time up. i know the battery slides into the drone, but is there a connector also that other batteries can plug into? im very new to drones, in fact never owned or used one and want one and decided on this E520s. thanks
Hi there, thanks for watching! So the battery is called “7.4V 1200mAh Lipo Battery”
So if you Google 7.4V 1200mAh Lipo Battery for drone you should find them. 👌
Here is a website I’ve found which may help, but even if you don’t order from this website you can see lots of pictures of the battery so at least you know what it looks like and how it connects! 💪
