    ▶READ - what is an FRFR cabinet, and why do you need one for your modeler: www.laney.co.uk/blog/why-lane...
    Laney is the first amplifier brand to develop a REAL solution for players using a digital rig. As that market has grown, so too has the LFR’s reputation as the market leader in powered full range, flat response (FRFR) guitar cabinets.
    Following the huge success of our LFR-112 and LFR-212 powered cabinets, we now offer up the World’s first 4x12 dedicated FRFR guitar cabinet. The LFR-412.
    The 4x12 has always been the Guitarist’s choice format, there is just something about the iconic look and the feel of the movement of air as it is driven out towards an audience. We wanted to give today’s players the chance to really experience that, even when using their modellers.
    This droolworthy powerhouse is an absolute BEST IN CLASS FRFR cabinet, packed full of additional features and powerful output options.
    At 2600 Watts and producing SPL levels of 139dB, the LFR-412 is the world’s most powerful, dedicated FRFR cabinet. Fear not though…You can also use it at bedroom level volume too, should you wish!
    Designed in collaboration with - the legendary - Devin Townsend. The LFR-412 features LA⋅IR -Laney Advance Impulse Response technology - that uses 56bit FIR filters to provide stunning cabinet emulation. The USB connectivity allows players to load their own IRs, if they so wish, and an intuitive app allows for further adjustment. Housing the IR in the cabinet frees up much needed processing power within the player’s digital rig, allowing for even greater creativity and reliability. In short, the LFR-412 does the heavy lifting. A host of IRs provided by our artists, will all be available for free via the LA⋅IR -LFR App.
    Our ever-expanding LFR artist family includes, Jack Gardiner, Andy James, LI-SA X, Martin Miller and many more. Including - of course- Devin Townsend and Guthrie Govan. Devin worked closely with our UK design team to ensure that the LFR-412 would meet the needs of even the most demanding touring guitarist and he’s so proud of the end result, stating “I truly believe it’s a game changer”.
    Our UK design team commissioned our expert partners at HH Acoustics to design the stunning HH BLACK SERIES professional 12” woofers, to accompany the LaVoce compression driver. This elegant and powerful suite of drivers ensure that the LFR-412’s deliver the breadth of guitar tones that are possible from modern modellers, whilst offering unparalleled, ultra low noise even at full volume.
    The LFR-412 joins a range of LFR powered cabinets that all feature tailor-made drivers, designed and engineered by HH Acoustics to deliver power and precision and, importantly, response that ensures that the player feels like they have a REAL guitar cabinet by their side. Because they do…Because with over 50 years experience in amplification design and delivery, Laney understands the thrill of feeling the air move, the interaction between player, amp and cabinet, the MOJO that only Laney LFRs deliver.
    These captivating FRFR powered cabinets are redefining the standard that players should expect from their digital rigs …They look cool too.

      Whilst I think the industry has moved away from really loud 4x12s on stage, if it sounds good at low volume it will be.
      Although who wouldn't want to take the full stack to a canyon and shred at full power? Like with a classic Marshall.
      Your bass player will need a Danley J1 to keep up!

    What we now need is a Laneys own "amp expander" without power amplifier to use tube amps (low or high wattage amp) with these fr cabs.
    Ability to use both digital and analog in same setup would be useful for may, i think.

      They are wooden cabs rather than plastic as some other's make. We went for tone over light weight. The only idea I can offer you is to compare various FRFR Cabs and decide for yourself.

  • @rmp5s
    @rmp5s Před 5 měsíci

    Impulse responses, AKA cab+mic emulation...in a cab...??? The "but why" gif is playing on repeat in my head.
    If you're using an axe, QC, etc, you have an IR block with your IR of choice already loaded. So, to use this, with its own IRs, you'd have to ditch that block. If you did that, you could go into any power amp/cab/mic setup you want...you could even do IsoCab type of setup if you wanted. I don't get this.
    If NOTHING else, maybe I'm missing something but I thought the best part of Axe/QC/Kemper/etc was NOT having to lug around heavy ass cabs...
    Serious question: What is the point of this?

    • @LaneyAmplification

    • @richo144
      @richo144 Před 6 měsíci +1

      jajaja if you are on the modeling world you would, IR is IMPULSE RESPONSE, FRFR means FULL RANGE FLAT RESPONSE, LFR is LANEY FLAT RESPONSE
