- A trimmed version of the Duel with Anakin & Kenobi vs Savage Opress at the end of "The Nightsisters Arc Film Cut". This upload has been trimmed exclusive to focus on parts of their duel from the episode and show it all in one video.
A full 4K HDR (and 1080p) upscale of the entire series, also taking all but 9 episodes and re-cutting them seamlessly into feature films for every single arc. Have a favorite arc? Order 66? The Rako Hardeen Deception Arc? Mortis? The Nightsisters? Yoda's Journey? Maul's Revenge? This project converts the entire TV show into the definitive theatrical experience, perfect for your nice 4K HDR theater setup.
I have also reordered the episodes to fit a (mostly) chronological order based on the entire series official order list. This fixes many, many continuity problems for those who get confused when they watch it in viewing order. There are some minor alterations to the official episode order to make these arcs work as films, but any changes to the official chronological order are small (Putting Maul's Season 4 and 5 arcs into a single epic 3 hour cut, moving the lone episode "A Friend in Need" up a bit in the timeline to fit with the Heroes on Both Sides arc. Making Cad Bane's seasons 1-3 arc into a single supercut). The rest of the alterations follow the official continuity order (2 season 1 and 2 episodes are now part of the extended Clone Wars Theatrical Film Cut due to them being part of the Battle of Christophsis, ect. ect.) and greatly enhance the show's viewing experience.

Before this fight, Obi-Wan and Anakin never knew who Savage was and didn't know how strong he was so Savage's massive strenght took them by surprise. Savage had also just been humilliated by Dooku and Ventress so he was angry,. Force users get stronger when they are angry so he fought better because of that. On the top of that, neither Anakin and Obi-Wan uses their famous lightsaber combat forms because as I said, they have no idea how Savage fights because he simply swings his lightsaber randomly.
In the Obi-Wan vs Maul and Savage fight, Obi-Wan knew Savage, his fighting style and his weakness more plus he actually uses his very famous Soresu form which is super hard to break through. On the top of that, Obi-Wan was actually pretty pissed there because of Adi Gallia's death so he fights even better because of that.
Also the Nightsister must have made his armor bulletproof.
Savage was wearing heavier armor that most Force Users, the Clone Wars animation doesn't have things to scale, but we can assume his massive frame allowed him the strength to be mobile while wearing such heavy armor.
@@antonindolohov1277 To add to that, in most combat it is merely stand your ground than to break an enemy's defense. Here, Obi and Anakin had to press forward while Savage merely had to escape, so the tactical burden was heavier on Obi-Wan. Later, Kenobi is merely holding his ground until he finds a weak spot. Outside of that, I don't believe anyone but Maul actually dominated Savage in combat, they just exploited specific weakness like his inferior parrying abilities (Force Lightning Spam). Except Sidious. Sidious make mincemeat out of everyone except Yoda and Mace.

@@spellsnare Force Scream does not affect non-organics - it was force repulse. for sound waves to affect metal they have to cause the particles to vibrate a lot which requires a lot of energy compared to beings made of carbon and nitrogen

I feel like Savage is overlooked because hes Mauls weaker brother, but he’s incredibly powerful- even though he lost alot it was all against the most power characters in the show (sidious,maul,obiwan,anakin,dooku)
Outta all the sith , he’s definitely the most underrated one , granted I do think maul is stronger then him with the force but savage is more stronger physically . Also, I love how clone wars breaks the stereotype that the Sith don’t care about their apprentices . We clearly see that maul and savage love each other and have each other backs ( yes I know they are brothers ) . In rebels maul talks about savage a lot , clearly he showing the audience that he misses his brother and he even trains eraza for a short bit and he does care about eraza in my opinion . I do believe Sauvage was killed off to early though . Let me know your opinion pls .

Does anyone remember the spear Savage used in one of his first battles? I think he would have done a ton better if he had a Beskar version of that weapon.
I don't like the dubble lightsaber or the spear honestly, something like a Battle Axe would be more characteristic, but between spear and dubble lightsaber I Gotta say dubble lightsaber just becouse Maul used it also.

Honestly no . I think a simple lightsaber would’ve been perfect for him . He should’ve been trained in Djem so like Anakin/Vader , it is the best style to take advantage of his colossal strength .

Well, this was a couple years earlier than season 7 anakin. Anakin saw exponential growth due to his extremely high midichlorian count and the fact he was the chosen one. By the time he bested dooku, he would’ve absolutely clapped maul.
This was in s3 dude, anakin in the last season from clone wars and from ROTS would destroy him in combat
I kind of doubt it since Maul defeated Dooku in the comics and almost killed him together with Grievous. Maul is incredibly powerful, even capable of dueling with Sidious evenly for a time.

I’m so confused here savage is clearly a powerful factor , but put him with maul and fight Obi alone he’s bait .
Because obi-wan did his homework and knew his fighting style the second time. Plus they were fighting in extremely cramped conditions and Obi-Wan fought with an entirely different style than usual. It makes a lot of sense why he was able to escape that alive; he played it smart strategically. Maul did finally force push him into a wall twice, so clearly Obi-Wan would’ve been outmatched had the fight gone longer.
Because Anakin and Obi-Wan grow considerably over TCW. They’re pretty weak in first 2 and a half seasons compared to later.

You know before they brought back Maul, when I saw images of this guy for the first time, I actually thought he was Darth Maul who’s yellow and bigger. I used to think he was like a zombie or something. That was until my older brother pointed out that he was a totally completely different character who was related to Darth Maul.
Can you make one with mace from season 7 when he jumps through the ceiling and confronts an entire army of droids, that scene was so cool. Also how do you get these clips in 4k
I upscale the entire show myself and continually do special mini edits just for these duels as well.
Of course, the larger project recut all the episodes into film arcs. The description explains the details.
And I'm waiting a bit longer before I tackle more Season 7 content, but I'll get there eventually.

Obviously Obi-Wan and Maul would fight each other, and I think if Anakin knows how strong Savage is and prepares ahead of time, he should win that fight pretty easily. Maul would get overwhelmed quickly in the 1v2 even if he can fight Obi-Wan about even.

Savage had the most potential of any sith in my opinion.
I would like to see how that would work out sence most sith were trained by torture, and I can't imagine Maul going too hard on his own brother.

I like this version of Savage, a berserker who seems almost unstoppable and supernaturally powerful, what they could’ve done was have Maul train Savage to just simply direct that rage and power more efficiently

Personally since mauls main rival in the clone wars I think savage oppress should have been Anakin’s second rival after Dooku.
Anakin, while obviously being weaker than oppress, was the far superior duelist until Savage got stronger under Maul’s tutelage.
It would be a one sided rivalry, considering he routinely goes up against his master, and holds his own.
A far more worthy opponent for Anakin would be Maul, that WOULD be a fight, and it could go either way, honestly.

TCW S7 Anakin is the greatest Jedi. Definitely not S3 (except briefly on Mortis). S4 and beyond Anakin arguably is the greatest besides Yoda though.

No one says that Anakin is the greatest Jedi. Mace Windu is also a terrible Jedi. They both go against the order and it's ideals. Obi-Wan is the greatest Jedi for how much he went though but still had hope and love.
Now if you meant to say "most powerful" then yes, Anakin was going to be the most powerful Jedi and was just a step below Yoda. Mace Windu was powerful but not like Anakin.

Savage is way too powerful to be defeated in seconds. The fight against Sidious showed he can last quite some time against even the most skilled and powerful masters.

So.. I was just now thinking.. and I'm gonna make a comparison here, hopefully it won't start a war within fandoms. Is the Sith yellow eye-thing like something that happens similarly to creating Horcruxes in Harry Potter? The main difference I see here is that creating a Horcrux, the kill must be more _intentional_ , if that makes sense. From what I've gathered, the turning of your eyes into Sith-yellow just requires one to kill, a lot. Also with intention, and maybe, some passion or some other form of strong emotion... Dunno, funnily this thing crossed my mind just now.
Also, the king must be commended. Even though we the viewers, and to a degree he himself, knew what the outcome would be, he still stood his ground. That's, like, really impressive! Even more so, since the only other Toydarian we know is Watto. I'm not sure, but he doesn't necessarily radiate that kind of courage. But dunno, my Star Wars knowledge is limited 😅
It's not a matter of killing but simply how deep into the darkside the user is.

Sometimes I really hate stupid Jedis. They let Savage to kill their ally. Clone wars serial started with Yoda's promise to protect toydarians and their king made his choice to join the Republic. I was a bit disappointed that in the end of this seria they even didn't recall this poor guy killed by Savage
As much as the Clone Wars was fun, it's absurd that this dude could beat two of the most powerful jedi. At 3:04 they could've stabbed him, and they should have stabbed him. By this point he killed like 3-4 jedi, and was about to kill the king. What's stopping them really other than plot?
The Clone Wars has always been massively overrated. The Prequels are better. Far more consistent and carefully thought out.

The fact that he needed to be saved multiple times and failed. The fact he wasn't automatically the best at everything. The fact that he wasn't loved by everyone and ultimately DIES all make him a simple overpowered character, not a Gary Stu. Even his raw power is explained to be artificially amped exponentially with Night Sister magic.

It's called understanding your opponent. You don't just go for the kill if you don't even know who you're dealing with. Also he wasn't even beaten, Savage just ran away after knocking him down
