The superb sound of Meinlâs Classics Custom Dual cymbals is attributed to a perfect blend of warm B12 bronze with the companyâs meticulous step-lathe formation process and deep over-hammering technique. This combination develops a darker, punchier sound with a distinct fundamental character. The Classics Custom Duals look stunning as well - fully lathed and buffed edges complement a dark center thatâs not only easy on the eyes, but aids in creating a sharp and distinct attack.

What's your favorite cymbal from the Meinl Classics Custom Dual series?
The full Classic Custom line is so good for the price! Meinl's been making amazing cymbals. Always love seeing Nick play, great player and great salesman too. The bell in that ride is beautiful đ
Zildjian Custom A guy here. I bought this series for a different flavor. 16" trash crash, 18" crash, 20" Ride and 15" hats. The trash crash is amazing. Sounds great live and recorded. The Ride leaves more to be desired. The 18 and hats are just fine. They wont be replacing my Custom A however, a very good option for the price!
I have the Dark Classics Custom and love them!
Best demo of these-really showcases them! Excellent playing, as always.đđ
I always liked how classic's splashes sound.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who plays with the meat of their stick....and these cymbals sound purty damn good too. I think the crashes sound alot better than the classic darks.
This is a fantastic review of great sounding cymbals!!! How about them, beautiful drums!!
Great budget cymbals for heavier music: Meinl Classics Custom
Great budget cymbals for not so heavy music: Istanbul Agop Xist
Both are so much better than their prices would suggest
That being said of course, the Agop's are MB20 whereas the Meinl's are MB12
I just started checking out the Xist line recently, I'm really impressed with them. Might have to grab a few some time.
@@drummerdan95 very comparable to the Zildjian K Constantinople's. For a fraction of the price
@@drummerdan95 Trust me, they're insanely good for the price and the have many options in the line
@@BenjaminGoude the classics are B10. Pure Alloy is B12 if I remember correctly
Nick, that heavier little "ditty" you played to showcase the Meinle cymbals, was more than quite good. and would be a great foundation for a full song. just sayin' that rocked.
I played my first gig with my new 19 inch Dark Custom crash and it sounded so good. Everyone talked about how warm it was
They sound great for the price!
Love them!
Very nice review đđđ
Now the Meinl 21" Ghost Ride - Brann Dailor Signature Classics Custom Cymbal seems to be b12 also, but wasnt it b8 or b10 at one time? They have other classic customs that are b10 alloy.
Great demos is always Nick but I have to tell you you're speaking is a lot louder than the drums and cymbals so when I turn up volume to hear the cymbals I rapidly have to turn it down when you start talking. Fyi. âđŒ
The crashes sounded pretty good, especially with the mix. By themselves, kinda weird to my ears. Really strange how Meinle can make a cymbal sound so different by itself,or with music.. Ride cymbals were just not heavy enough for me. But the cymbals do come in at a good price, and look cool too.
B12 savagery
0:53 is the doom theme :D E1M1!
not even close. rhythmically yes, note wise, nope.
That was more bluesy than anything.
Also that motif has been used in music going at least 100 years back
