Hey guys! Here is a video of me reviewing the new Meinl Classics Custom Dual Cymbals. These cymbals are explosive, opens up quick and have e decent short sustain which will sound great in a lot of situations. I was really surprised how good these all sound, yet so affordable!
First time I'm doing a review like this and I hope you will enjoy it! If you have any questions just let me know! I try to answer all the questions I see!
Because of copyright problems I had to play to the instrumental versions for some of the songs in the video.

One: the cymbals sounds amazing
Two: the toms and kick drum sound amazing
Three: "Different genres" but they still somehow sound metal from the great sound mix you got :)
Thanks for the input buddy!
Hell yeah, love seeing this type of content from you too
Thanks bud! I really appreciate it and thanks for watching!
couple things here Adam, 1. these cymbals sound great 2. your bass drum sounds perfect, great attack its punchy and thick sounding. 3 you playing over the drum and bass is something i never knew i needed until just now. 4. youre an absolute BEAST
Dude huuuuge thanks, you are the man!
Yeah wtf his bass drum sound is the best i have heard.
Is that a sample?
I could listen to it all day lol
4:56 holyyy shit that was sick man! This video inspires me to play more genres other than metal
Thanks a ton dude! You will have a lot of fun exploring others genres I’m sure!
best review i've seen ! keep on doin these, dude ! :)
Dude really? Stoked to hear since it’s my first haha! Thanks!
love the fact that you played diff songs wish more ppl did this in a review
I thought it would make sense while I made this video! Thank you so much!
Bad ass as always Adam..incredible demonstration!
Thanks alot for the great vid!! Really nice to see an all in one guide with the playing in different styles. Also great to finally hear some raw sound from you playing the kit, so I can really hear you playing and the sound of the kit. From my little mixing and recording knowledge your kit incl. cymbals sound clear and dry \/m.
Great looking and sounding cymbals! Was actually thinking about switching cymbals/brands in the near future, after playing Sabian for over 10 years. :D Definitely gonna check these out :)
Thank you so kindly man, the Tama Birch/Bubinga Hyperdrive sounds amazing, I dampen it it alot but can still compensate a lot of tone since I'm a heavy hitter, they still have room for dynamics, but no overtones, just "fatness" haha!
I mean these cymbals are are nice for it's price, I do like that you can mix some of these cymbals together with some more high-end cymbals from Meinl such as Pure Alloy and Byzance! I can really recomend the effects cymbals from this line such as the chinas and splashes! But I was surprised how sick the 20" crash and 15" hats sounded as well!
not only do they look hella sick, they also sound incredibly good! great vid and thanks for sharing your experiences with us!
Thank you so much buddy for checking it out! I appreciate it!
Best mix on the platform!
These cymbals are amazing aswell!
Huuuge thanks Thomas! That makes me happy to hear!
They sound reeeally good for it’s price!
Dewd you are and have been my favorite out of all the you tube drummers I have been listening to for years now. I would like to see you do even more death metal covers. You are straight up bad to the bone......keep up the good work!
Best demo of these cymbals.
Nice sound. You should also do some blast beats test on these hi hats and ride
It's hard for me to cover all the different beats you can do with these, but you can see me blast on the ride at 3:40 for a bit!
Thanks for watching!
one of my favourite drummers, keep crushing dude
Thanks bud! I appreciate it!
Beyond pro level demo. Makes me wanna purchase
Thank you so kindly! I really appreciate it!
Ugh....and I JUST finished completing my cymbal set with all Classics Custom Dark series. Now I want these....
Great sound and video! Thanks
Classics Custom Dark has some cymbals which I really like! If you have a chance to test out the 20” Crash, 10 splash/12 trash splash or china from the Classics Custom Dual can I really recomend them!
Thank you buddy!
Best mix of these cymbals yet! Made me buy the trash splash 💪🏼
Outstanding demo !
Thank you so kindly!
Proffsigt! Snyggt med flera musikstilar :-)
Stort tack!
The way play makes everything sound cool and good
Thank you so much man! I appreciate it!
Just noticed the Silent Planet instrumental playing in the background.
Great vid!
Sick track!
Thank you so much man! I appreciate it!
Great work as usual 🙂
Thanks Aaron!
5:45 instant stinkface from that fill, oh my... btw great video, love this format from you !
Huuuuge thanks buddy! I appreciate it!

Thanks Bastian! I do have some more reviews videos on my schedule, just waiting for some of the stuff to arrive! Stay tuned and thanks for watching as well!
Really enjoyed the Silent Planet in the background
Up at 4:30 am est Friday watching the "Goat" layin down some sh*t.. nice man
Great played
Thanks!
Silent Planet - a good choice =)
nice gear!!!
Thanks man! They are sick!
Good stuff.
Love it.
Thanks bud!
That fill goddamn :D 5:45
;)
Your mix... is... fucking... DOPE!
Theeenks buuuud!
awesome review, they sound so sick. Will you be keeping any in your regular line up??
Great review! Thinking of buying them! Question: what's the music in the background of your video? Is this Vola? I really like it!
Do it man! Silent planet - In Absence instrumental
damm they sounds sick
They are siiiick!
Hello Adam! You can cover Belphegor, the devil’s Son
Sounds great for price
Adam: showing us all the genres.
Me: just waiting for him to start blasting.
in all seriousness though, cymbals sound nice, though I still much prefer the Zildjian A customs or the Meinl Byzances for instance. but I guess for a cheaper cymbal they have a nice sound
Yeah the Byzance are 50-60% more expensive compare to these so I totally get you! Me myself were very surprised how great these sound for the price! I will probably use some effects and the crash cymbals from this serie for future projects/videos.
Hahah blast beats are sick. Thanks for watching man!
I bought the ride, it sounds fucking great
Awesome man! Have fun!
Nice 👍
What is the little block resting on the top left of your snare? Love the videos man, keep it up!
Snareweigt! It reduces overtones and dampening the snare, works like those gels but don’t leave residue, it don’t change the pitch of the snare which I feel that does gels do! Snareweight is sick but a bit expensive haha!
@@KholmDrums thanks for replying man, got to get me one!
@@AccostiK Keep in mind that the actuall Snareweight (5#) will not fit on a Die-cast hoop if you have that, unless you get the Pro-lock from snareweight as well, both these together are around 180$....
@@KholmDrums Appreciate the info man, thanks for the heads up!
What's the name of the song that plays from the beginning?
Cool kit btw
I can't believe you haven't played "To the Hellfire" by Lorna Shore yet man! Lets see it!
Ur kit sounds better acoustic than with samples on it in my opinion. The cymbals are fk sick
Glad you enjoy the mix! My Tama Starclassic B/B Hyperdrive sounds sick, but the samples does gives a bit of an extra ”umphf”, that’s why my mixguy likes to blend both, but I agree that a more natural mix fits some tracks better!
the OGs remember the unanswered fill
Heellll yeah buddy
Hi Adam! I'm just here to ask when another Archspire cover is coming out? You know... new album and all ;)
CAN YOU COVER ALL ALONE BY BLIND WITNESS??
Man screw those cymbals, I NEED THAT KICK SAMPLE!
Hahaha what sampel?
What’s the song in the outro?
Which song is being played in the background??
Silent Planet - In Absence (instrumental version)
can you play the drum cover of :
1. animals as leaders - tooth and claw
2. animals as leaders - kascade
please accept my song request 😂
The china is a little too dry and washy for my taste, which is weird because I actually have a classics custom dark china and like it more than my byzance china. Oh well lol
The 18” china or the 20” Crash was my favourite from them all! The Dark china is sick also, so aggressive for it’s size.
Boring dead sound ...and its expensive...the worst combination
Can't agree with you on neither of your thoughts, but that's what's so nice with having our own thoughts of everything!
Thank you for checking the video out!
