I could NOT believe this ending!! I thought is was going to be a dream or something! I’m happy Will finally settled down. He needs a down to earth woman. Her reaction to the stepdad was perfect! 🙌🏽 Ready for more!

Who did she play on Call the Midwife?
@@tonyameredith7081 I think her name was Jenny. The first season of the show was based on a memoir of an actual midwife. She played that midwife. (Based on a different thread here, I go the name wrong. She played Barbara, not Jenny. But still the memoir writer.)

I have no idea how I missed watching the entire season. Was shocked to find out they got Will character married in it.

I'm in Australia and this is one of my favourite UK shows. 🤩
I thought the last episode was like, they just heard there wasn’t going to be a season 8 and so they had to wrap it all up, resolving everyone’s issues, and put a nice big bow on it.
I did not see the wedding coming, but I was soooo happy when it did. I just love these two characters
I also didn't see the wedding coming! But I wasn't upset about it, I think this could be good for Will's character.
They clearly belong together.
Definitely a whirlwind romance and wedding. Grantchester gets more like a soap with every episode.

I was watching the first episode and saying to myself...she looks familiar, where do I know her...omg! It's "Barbara!" Prim, proper, dear little Barbara whose death on "Call the Midwife" was so traumatic. She married a minister there too, but what a totally different character this is! The actress looks fabulous as a blonde.

I did the same thing and I finally figured it out too. What a distraction! However I’m sorry but this just isn’t what I expected for Will. I’m still trying to process this especially after Mya!
I liked her character better on CTM! I’ve watched the entire season but I’m a little disappointed in the final episode.
This appeared randomly in my feed and took me too long to recognize her. Wigs do work

This seemed forced and rushed. But I didn't see the attraction with maya, either. But I expect more. More time to know each other, more attraction.
But so long as Charlotte doesn't shirk her Ghosts duties...and make time for taskmaster....
I agree. I thought the last 5 minutes should have been fleshed out in at least a few episodes. There was so much that could've been covered and it would've seemed much more realistic.

Agree. I thought someone was dreaming (will or mrs C or Bonnie herself). I don’t see an attraction there. Very rushed
Exactly how I feel… rushed along with help from Georgie and Cathy who were giggling more than Will and Bonnie.
Very forced . A little disappointed in this season overall. Seemed all the plots were weirdly rushed and forced. New writers?

i reckon charlotte would fit in with death in paradise i can just picture her as a new love interest for neville parker but this time as someone whos genunine actually loves neville and not a killer or releated to someone neville put in jail once because thats what the last of DIP was like
I personally thought Bonnie, the new potential love interest of Will was waaaaay over the top! She hardly met him, went in only one outing/date and acted as though she owned him and had rights to his personal life and decisions…Maya, the lover was a whole other story, but Bonnie had no rights to Will regardless as she’d known him such a short time….She got on my nerves! Otherwise a great series per usual!
I agree… Bonnie’s character reminded me of her role on CTM… couldn’t get past it. Here she seems like a desperate widow with a chip on her shoulder and her attitude towards Maya unnecessary.

i dont think bonnies too bad but i did think will was going to marry that teacher from the end of the teddy boy episode
I don't dislike her but I felt this love story was rushed and forced. The maya situation was a disaster but this isn't ideal either. I'm also not a fan a desperate women. She turns up unannounced, sees maya, leaves, there's an injury and all is forgiven? He loves her now? 🤣😂

Not everyone can be blessed with full lips. I would rather watch a good show with good acting then someone who can't act abd has full lips
