After learning about Tiamut's death, Arishem personally came to Earth, his mere presence causing massive weather changes to the planet. He then summoned Sersi, Kingo, and Phastos, with whom he expressed his displeasure with their having sacrificed a Celestial to save the human race. However, Arishem agreed to spare them, but only if the Eternals' memories demonstrated that they were worthy.

Scientifically speaking, if a giant object like that would appear near earth, we would face a lot of trembling in gravity and our axis might tilt a little as well. Not to forget there was a blackhole created for split seconds when the celestial wormhole opened. That split second alone can drag and change our trajectory with the sun and can change our clocks eventually.

This is a very faint remote example of what the return of the Lord will be like. He will not be an ugly lava monster with 6 glowing eyes but he is the Final Judge.
