Ikaris killed Ajak so she could not tell the other Eternals of the impending emergence but right before her end she set Sersi as the new Prime Eternal knowing Ikaris could not bring himself to kill Sersi like he did her.

Honestly I feel like Ikaris was in the right kinda; Ajak had all this coming to her. She forbade the others from interfering or even help the humans and had Ikaris carry this dark secret for thousands of years and causing him to leave Sersi because of her love for humanity. Helping stop the emergence would have been 1000 years of lying and driving himself away from his family would have been all for nothing to him.
She also strong-armed him into gradually becoming a religious zealot over the years, she basically ripped everything away from him that could have made him go against Arashim and left him with only serving him and letting The Emergence happen as all he had left . She took everything from him and left him with only this purpose
she didn’t want them to help the humans advance too quickly because she didn’t the emergence to happen 🙄
@@mrcritical6751 for me she is the villain of this movie she destroyed so many worlds before coming to earth and literally allowed aresham to wipe all of her family members and lied to them about their mission and destroying all the life that they are living on other planets who knows sersi and ikaris might had kids on the other planets just like phastos does and they all died during the emergence and ajak didn't tell him those things and she just literally destroyed his entire life.

This being a different universe doesn't mean it's a better choice to avoid Ajak's concussive energy hand blasts from the comics, it's a more interesting choice even if it weren't in the comics. I wish Ajak had that, especially since the shotgun basically popped out of nowhere.
@@andreaskazakeos5539 Writing wise, that's not a good excuse. It would have showed how powerful Ajak is if she had plasma hand blasts, whether it's from the comics' Ajak or not. The shotgun basically conveniently popped up like this is Looney Tunes because they didn't want Ajak's hand blast abilities. It was lazy.

Eternals had a very serious and universal tone to it but every MCU movie after wasn't barely related or connected to the Eternals and was tacky and cringe.

People are missing the point about all these characters. Their powers existed to work in-tandem. They were sent to help humanity progress. She was a healer basically a medic to the other eternals. She can heal herself too like in the other seen but when you’re tied up by a power sucking monster I’m sure there’s not much you could do. Not to mention she was taken off guard.

Amazing. The Prime Eternal's only power was healing and she dies from a couple of stabs. What a great use of the budget in hiring Salma Hayek.

Those weren't a "couple of stabs". It drained her life force. Even when she healed herself before, it takes concentration. They're not indestructible.

I don't get why Ajak was the prime eternal and Arishem didn't grant her better cosmic abilities to defend and protect herself.
Arishem sent them to earth to kill off the deviants but they all kinda have some not so top notch cosmic abilities.

you know what after seeing so many comments about ajak being the innocent one this is my analysis of her character hope this helps i wish that he told the truth about their mission in the Babylon itself instead falling for ajak's manipulative words, that how cruel mother and leader she was.
before coming to earth she is been destroying so many planets and allowing aresham to wipe out their memories (but not her's she is the only person to retain her memories) it doesn't matter to her what kind of a life all of her team members are living whether the have a wife/husband, kids it doesn't matter to ajak she just let the emergence happen and destroy everyone's life because she is incapable of loving something that is the reason she never felt any kinda guilt in all the planets what to say she is kind of a cold hearted murderer, don't say that she is been under the influence of aresham and she doesn't have any choice , out of all the eternals she is the only person who has the free will to whether to save that planet or not, that what happened on earth for the first time she started to fell the connection to earth that she never felt that before in any other planets, so want's to save earth, imagine all the other planets that she allowed the emergence to happen and by doing that all life on that planet will die and all her family wipe get memory wiped its like killing them and she was absolutely fine with that, if she really loved her family in all the other planets she would have stoped the cycle of emergence and help the family to find the world forge and regain their memories and live a happy life, but she didn't. and there comes the earth after she landed on earth two things happen for the first time she felt something that she never felt which is connection between the people and her family and that's were the guild of destroying those world starts to come which clearly showed in the first intraction between ajak and aresham were she told him that ''she always admired aresham's designe for the universe but this time the cost might be too high'' and areshma told her not get distracted from the mission(seeds of doubt about the mission) at this point ikaris doesn't know about the true nature of the mission he like everyone else thinking that deviants are their mission and just like the rest of team he also trusted aresham, and years pass ikairs and sersi fall in love and they were happy and at this point of time ajak the seeds of doubt starts to grow and she stars to question everything in her life her belief for aresham and her mission so she keep herself in mission she needed some thing to hold kinda a way out so told ikairs the truth and forced him to lie to the people he loves and through him she starts to regain her grip in the mission but as we can see in this video when ikairs says " i lied to everyone he cared about" which clearly implies that he want's to tell the truth to everyone and ajak didn't allow it and she starts to manipulate ikaris to making him believe in aresham's grand design and she made him lie to his whole family for fucking 5000 years and to the point were he couldn't keep lying to his wife so he left sersi and ajak knows that to after all the pain and sacrifice that he did for her in the end just 7 days before the emergence nah i changed my mind we are going to save the earth and that is the breaking point for ikaris for 5000 years he just a man who is hold his loyalty that he has for ajak and the love he has for his family all he wants is to cut lose from everything, all the pain and sufferings that she put him through all it means nothing to her so he killed her (i felt bad for her in my 1st watch and in the 2nd watch nah she kinda deserve it), and at the end of the movie ikairs whole life become a lie and if you say ajak is innocent listen to me when thena had madwarry (memory glitch) she starts to get the glimpse of her memories from the previous planets and after the fight between her vs the eternals were ajak said to thena that your meories are fractured and it will get worse and something like that and to cure her erasing the memories is the only way it might seems like she trying to prevent her from suffering and attacking others and it's not just only that if this memory glitch start's to appear more then thena will figure out what 's happening to her if that's happen ajak's secret will be blown away. So now tell me what kind of a mother will do all of this. trust me i love ajak as character just like every other eternals. this is my opinion.

In every Fighting movies ever... all the leaders are the deadliest fighters, follows by their second in commands.
In even some movie, would give out some disguised, making their Real Leader looking like an innocent man or woman... But in the end, they would often prove to be deadly enough that use take all of Protagonists to join hands just to defeat him/her.
What I am trying to say is... Leader supposed to have at least one trick up their sleeves. But she didn't.
Take a look at The Master from The Badlands.
She's the leader, not the strongest. Leadership and strenght are not always the same.

These Eternals were here for centuries, and that didn't do anything when Thanos whipped out 50% of all life, I thought it was a lame story line, lazy writing, relying on CGI to sell the story. Not worth rewatching.
