In the original Rocky, he was a flamboyant champion, in the 2nd he was a heel, in the 3rd he was a mentor, in the 4th a fallen hero. And Carl Weathers handled it all brilliantly. RIP, Champ.

Once we take our last breath, our eternity is sealed . . . forever.

You ever see him in Action Jackson? It's sorta flawed, but he is great in it and ya gotta watch it at least once if your fan. It seemed to be his sorta take on a Lethal Weapon type movie in some regards.

As someone who is sartorial inclined, he is put together unlike most actors who you can tell were dressed. The suit is well tailored to him and all the details look right. Truly, a dapper man and even more impressive as muscular men with his build are not the easiest type.
His ability to look sharp was a big part of what made the Apollo character

I was fortunate enough to work with Carl Weathers a couple of times on a tv show he was directing. Super nice guy. As busy as he was, when i came to set he walked up, shook my hand and introduced himself. Great guy. Rest well Carl

Rocky 3 has always been an inspirational movie for me. A big part of that movie is your character motivating Rocky to get his "Eye of the Tiger". RIP Mr. Weathers.
I cried at the end of this interview with just the curtain. Yea his death hits hard, especially the movie Rocky and they become friends, it gave so much motivation to people to be better and try harder. Feels like an end of an era 😢

I saw the first three Rocky movies back to back in 1984/85 and was very impressed with Carl Weathers. He inspired me to lift weights and at 54yrs old, I'm still having a go- RIP Sir!!
Just watched rocky 4 last week. One of the best films of the 80s. Carl weathers a great actor of our times
He was also played " _Hampton Forbes_ " as the "Chief of Police" in the final two seasons of " _The Heat of the Night_ " . (1992-1994)

One thing about Carl he was sharp articulate and quick with his speech . Always carried a scene perfect7 cast and as you can see in this interview energetic and charismatic. Like most people all over the world I grew up watching this great underrated actor and enjoyed every minute of his screen time.
Just about to turn 40 when this was taped; Leno is 2 years younger.
Carl was one of those rare actors you were always happy to see pop up on screen. It didn't matter how large or small the role was. If you saw his face appear on screen, you'd smile and say heyyyy its Carl Weathers.

I was a child when I watched the predator for the first time. That hand shake rocked my world. The movie I have watched more than 500 times and still watch it when I want to get some testosterone boost and have a good time with those amazing characters. RIP Carl. Verloren aber nicht vergessen.

He honestly seemed like such a cool guy that just embodied charm and class. He wasn't just another macho star that only got roles because of his physique, even though he was absolutely shredded he never relied on that for roles because first and foremost he was a damn fine actor. RIP Carl, I will raise a glass and watch some Predator.

This guy had charisma, elegance, the body of a God, a great smile, was well spoken, humble and funny. He had a couple of iconic roles and a very good career, but I think he deserved way more than what he got.
