🐙ONE TIP with the film profiles try shooting at different kelvin and use the color filter to emphasize on different hues. If you shoot at correct settings like exposure, white balance then the effect that you'll get are minimalized. They are meant to be used in a more creative way. 🐙
this was shot on sony a7 iii but you can get even better color on 10 bit cameras.
So Now we have more than 10 Film Simulation Profiles for sony cameras, including the Classic Chrome Kodachrome 64 and Fuji Eterna High Fidelity Profile, and in this video i will present to you some general guides and suggestions on how to shoot the sony film profiles simulations go get the same kind of film look on my sony a7iii
I also have some updates on the sony picture profiles film simulation recipes that i will be talking about and will walk you throught the process of installing the Creative Luts in Davinci Resolve.
Sony picture profiles are film simulation recipe that i've made to simulate the look of film or to get close to it and to offer great colors for out of camera JPEGs
You can use these Profiles on any sony alpha film simulation settings
Remember that these Guide are only meant to help you get started and are not golden rules, so you can experiment with multiple colors temperatures and exposure with your film simulation sony to improve your film emulation technique.

@@TheSunnySuttons you can use the Lightroom Film Presets if you want to just take photos and then choose in post. You can find them on the website store

Honestly i don't remember exactly, but i think i used the Evpro+ film simulation with the tamron 28-75 at 35mm and without any filters on. Shot HD 25fps 50mbps

Oohh nice! Yeah, i finished the classic chrome, it's almost identical to the fuji, and now i am working on the kodachrome, hopefully will finish it till the end of the month

There are 2 versions on my website. One is .dpx files for davinci, and other one is .cube files for premiere, final cur or any other software. Cube files are a standard and compatible with most software

I have a sony a7c, and it seems like every time I close the camera, or turn it to custom mode dial 1, 2, or 3, the picture profiles will reset and everything is lost. Do you what might be the reason?
This might seem dumb, but did you actually save it to the memory or were you changing settings inside the memory recall? Any changes you make inside the memory recall, won't be saved once you turn the knob or turn of the camera. The workflow is as follows. You set the camera in photo or video mode, then save to memory recall and now it will be saved in camera.
I had this problem of editing inside the memory recall, and once i switched to manual, the memory recall resets.

What does it mean above or below normal Kelvin temperature. What is the normal Kelvin?
Meaning correct temperature, let's say 5500k for daytime
Do you use any grade in post to add the halation effect, or does it look like this straight out of the camera?
I use the 8mm Home film Powergrade which is 100% customizable. You can find it on my website
@@veresdenialex Nice, thank you. One more question; do you overexpose the portra 800 s-log profile just like you normally would with s-log, or just expose correctly in camera?
@@Clashing0N This custom profile has less noise than the original s-log profile from sony, but you still need to overexpose it atleast by 1 stop to have clean shadows. I found that 1.5 stops over is a sweet spot for preserving details in the shadows and highlights. Hope this helps, have fun!

yes, any sony camera with picture profiles. the color might vary on different models, so be aware of that

you can't straight out of camera, but you can use the presets for Lightroom or Capture one

These film simulation work on any sony camera that has the picture profile menu, just each model will have a slightly different color since sony keepa updating the color science with each camera model. Gemeral rule is, the newer the model, the better color you will get

of course, set the noise reduction to normal or high when shooting jpegs
