A7c2 creative looks really good , but i struggle to save white balance for each receipt
Check this playlist for the basic workflow, I found a workaround method using the Memory Recall mode. czcams.com/play/PL-gfcmjtW3nup_6nXvu8JTn3obVpU2-o-.html&si=QAtI91rTDWLFkiYJ
does this work on sony zve10?
Yeah it does. I recommend downloading the updated free recipes from my website, these are 3 years old. www.veresdenialex.com/product-page/free-sony-film-simulation-recipes
Hello, are the recipes constantly updated? If so do I need to pay each time there's a new recipe?
Yeah, the website recipes have been constantly updated, and all buyers get free updates. So you don't pay for each new version.
The 400H simulation looks magnificent ❤
Try the new version, it's even better www.veresdenialex.com/product-page/free-sony-film-simulation-recipes
Does this PP is built in rv100m7 or is it manually edited? just wondering coz im trying to get one for myself
These are custom picture profiles. You can download and try the free film bundle from my website www.veresdenialex.com/product-page/free-sony-film-simulation-recipes
Do you still need to post Edit pictures? Or you can get them perfect straight out of the camera without editing them ?
Decide for yourself. Check my Blog and Instagram to see unedited JPGs using these film simulations: www.veresdenialex.com/sony-film-simulation-blog instagram.com/sony.film.simulations/
Amazing Content! Sadly my Sony 7c deleted all the profiles the second time now. The first time i changed the batterie too fast after turning off the camera but i don‘t know why does it happened again. Does anyone has an idea? Maybe because i reseted my SD Card after securing the pics on my PC?
hi may i ask why are these recipes quite a bit different compared to your 8 recipes that you posted on your blog community ?
this video is 3 years old, while the recipes on my website are updated.
these profiles are absolutely fascinating, thank you for sharing your work!
Sony A7III has a green tint, why would you add more green 😅
a7III is highly magenta predominant, check this out www.veresdenialex.com/post/color-calibrating-all-your-sony-cameras-with-in-camera-tools-ultimate-guide-sony-a7iii-a7cii
I'd really like to see more videos from you... tutorials, casual filming, commentary, photography... anything.
Thanks! I am going through depression and burnout, it's really hard to work on new videos, but I hope it's going to be easier in the future.
@@veresdenialex Damn! Sad to hear that. I am in the same situation too (job + college) but photography keeps me sane for now. Do what's best for you. I hope it will not get worse for myself aswell because I feel I am on that path myself. Keep your head up!
@@tothespace2122 you too!

Hi there I want to buy your pdf, but I have a question beforehand. I'm little bit color blind. I can't feel the subtle changes in color. Can you give me a cheat sheet for the white balance that I can trust and no need for tweaking? I do mostly indoor family events, sometime daytime, and sometimes at night. I have my niece bday coming up this 26th July and I want to use it right away. Can you help me with what kind of preset to use for the bday event? It's gonna be two times celebration. At lunch and dinner. Basically I just need your expert view on which preset is suitable and which Kelvin to set the wb for indoor daylight and indoor night time tungsten and I'll use it right away. Since I'm color blind I don't want to tinker with the Kelvin or color anymore than what I need to, that's why I want to buy your preset. Please advise and thank you in advance
It's pretty hard to recommend a film recipe, since I don't know what colors you like, or the mood you are going for. Also, it's hard to recommend a temperature for indoor situations since I have no idea what light you have in the house. You can contact me through the chatbox www.veresdenialex.com/ and we can speak there more details. If you have any references of the colors you'd like for your shots, that would be very helpful for me.
this is very awsome and im very late and disappointed that i didnt find this sooner. i got lazy and copied 3 of them but they are super incredible thanks for this! i am going to use these for photos
Does this work on a sony alpha a6100L? Great video btw.
only from sony a6300 onwards
@@veresdenialex thank you for responding
That's so awesome! Which lens did you use to film the mood clip?
samyang 14mm f2.8 and tamron 28-75mm f2.8
I have a sony camera but when i use slog3 to shot and transfer a photo to my phone to edit suddenly i see colors in my photo without editing anything
Let me see if I understood correctly. You're using S-log3 with Black and White color mode, and when you're transferring images to your phone, they suddenly become colored photos. It's because these settings are baked into the JPG only, and most probably you are transferring the RAW files only, which cannot contain all these settings and will automatically be translated into color images.
Your channel is such a gem.
I didn't even know my camera could do all this. You showed me a whole new world. Is there a possibility to have more than 9 picture profiles? It seems like too much work to tweak all those settings once you have more than 9 custom picture profiles. Or is there atleas a faster way to set all those settings i.e. somehow saving and applying those saved picture profiles? EDIT: Memory recall feature is probably a good workaround
I use memory recall mode. Check my workflow czcams.com/play/PL-gfcmjtW3nup_6nXvu8JTn3obVpU2-o-.html&si=H9T2PnlD-L-IwJ3P
Yes❤
Thank you for this! Really appreciate the tips. Quick question tho, do we have to keep changing the kelvin when applying different picture profiles? Thank you in advance! 😊
Unfortunately, the picture profiles cannot contain temperature settings, but I've came up with a workaround method which allows you load and switch between film simulations faster. You can check it out here czcams.com/users/shortstB7TuIU008o?si=iqkIlv-UV6MW1v_Z Full playlist here czcams.com/play/PL-gfcmjtW3nup_6nXvu8JTn3obVpU2-o-.html&si=VZJHVHTXgv9L0rqb
Doubt - the pp settings in this video don't match the one's you've given in the free pdf. Which one's are correct OR new? Ps. I have a a6700
the video was published 3 years ago, the on website settings will always be updated
@@veresdenialex thanks! Looks great
@@pankajverma272 most welcome! Have fun:D
I am trying this but the settings do not save to the profiles… I am new but I didn’t see this on the video or the PDF, how can I avoid having to reconfigure every time I want to use a filter?
The Kelvin and Color Filter settings are not saved into the picture profile menu, only the picture profile settings, but there is a workaround. Use the memory recall mode to save and quickly load film simulations. Check the workflow here czcams.com/play/PL-gfcmjtW3nup_6nXvu8JTn3obVpU2-o-.html&si=39vXrlWuN9M6N2cY
How wonderful, thank you so much!!! Your videos finally shed light on the darkness of the PPs. I'm only shooting images but Kodak Gold works perfect! Would love to get the Wes Anderson style, if you ever can offer a recipe, please let me know. Thank you very, very much!

White one best for Sony A6400 brother?? I want teal & orange look.. which one should i use for easily get teal orange look???
Here you can check and choose which best fits your need www.veresdenialex.com/post/best-sony-picture-profile-comparing-all-sony-film-simulations
how do you save those, they always gone if I switch the mode
You mean switching the mode from photo to video? You need to set same settings for both photo and video in the deeper menu. Otherwise, each mode will save individual settings. Also, I recommend this playlist for the basic workflow czcams.com/play/PL-gfcmjtW3nup_6nXvu8JTn3obVpU2-o-.html&si=n0vLB9bGHLtcNQ5r
Is the website or this video the most current?
always the website, this is a 2-3 year old video
I bought your Sony Film Simulation packs a few years back but somehow my purchase was restored and now I have no access to it anymore and no refunds had been received
contact me www.veresdenialex.com/contact-veresdenialex
I just picked up the a5100 is this a good camera it's my first mirrioless camera I've ever had
I don't think it's compatible with these film simulations, you need a slightly newer model
is this supported on the a6000?
Only from a6300
How do you make your tracking shots so smooth?
gimbal+stabilization+optical flow
Dude, i absolutely love your dedication to this. As someone that longs to create more but can’t due to work and family, this makes having creative looks straight out of camera so easy and simple without all the extra time in post. Going on a family trip for my daughters 1st birthday and will 100% be using the Kodak gold recipe
hehe, most welcome! Just be careful, these are not creative looks, these are picture profiles. Different menu. And they are not baked into the RAW files, only the JPG
Will definitely try these picture profiles.
Dude, how incredible that you figured out to really take control of all the settings to create these types of picture profiles. I can only imagine how much time you spent adjusting the details.
Hey man , I loved it. Earned a new subscriber. Just wanted to ask, I have been comparing rx7 , Ricoh and xt30ii. After watching this video , I am so tempted to just get RX7, but does the 1inch sensor really provide more photo quality than smartphones ?
When talking straight out of camera, the rx100VI is better than a smartphone in daylight situations. In lowlight you will need to edit your raw files to get better results, as the smartphone does some HDR and in camera noise reduction bs
Sir, What camera would you suggest if I want to shoot film simulations pictures/videos of myself only for Instagram , Sony zve10, Sony Zv1 or Sony Zv1 f??
zve10
@@veresdenialex thank you 🙏🏻🫡❤️
@@paramveersingh9563 most welcome
We need the Color Temperaturen and Color Filters to achieve the Look. But it seems These Settings are for daylight? What about tungsten light - how to accuratly adjust to other Color Ambients?
you substract the difference. For example Daylight is 5500K, Tungsten is 2900-3200 K. there is roughly a 2500K difference which you will substract from the initial recipe in order to calibrate yur daytime recipe t tungsten. Then use the colro filter to adjust tint.
Can you change the temperature within the picture profile?
nope, only in the temperature menu
Excellent. Can I use these profiles for photos? Please advise
Yes, absolutely. They are baked into the JPGs only tho. For raw presets I have created these www.veresdenialex.com/sony-film-simulation
How do I disable these white noises that are coming on the screen? 💔💔
white noises? you mean peaking?
What’s the cheapest camera this works on so I can buy it for my friend?
sony zv-e10
there are also cheaper, like the ZV-1F, but definitely would not recommend
Fwiw I just purchased a used A7S mk1 for $460 on mbp. 12mp is enough but the auto focus isn't nearly as good as newer cameras.
@@thenickbw you can also buy older cameras, but the color science is not as good
Dude. So much detail. And thorough. Where science meets art. Thanks for sharing.
these are awesome, thanks! what white balance settings do we do for the Ektar 100 profile?
4200Kelvin A3-G0.5 check the pinned comment, I included settings for all
@@veresdenialex oooo gotcha, thank you!
cám ơn bạn
That is exactly what I found, too. The presets are always way too warm. For example, on a cloudy day using the preset (normally around 6000K) gives you too much yellow/warmth. Choosing Kelvin manually at around 4800-5200 (which would normally be considered as daylight, not as cloudy), the result is a lot more realistic. Then you have to correct for this slight red/magenta shift and you're done.
exactly!
It also depends on the camera model and color cast predominance. Some cameras are more yellow, others are green or magenta. But it can be pretty much fixed with the kelvin color filter and the color phase inside the picture profile menu.
@@veresdenialex Right, but it costs some time until you know which approach gives you exactly what you want. Some of these cameras have LCDs you cannot really trust in terms of colour and then it is a very time consuming way to work this out 🫨😆
Can I use these PPs for photography as well?
yes! They are baked in the JPEG only tho. The Raw will be affected only by the gamma
@@veresdenialexIs JPEG mode the same as Fine on the camera? Or can should I set the camera to RAW+JPEG when using these PP settings?
@@WoodPecker5454 I always shoot jpeg+raw. If I ever choose to edit the photo, I have the 14bit raw file to push and drag, but if not, I still have the jpeg which is set either to max size and fine quality, or medium size and fine quality.
Thank you so much for sharing your hard work with the rest of us!
Hello! Do you have a picture profile to achieve the Leica look?
I have a recipe called Leicachrome, and it's meant to replicate the colors of Leica M8, but I haven't had the opportunity to rent a Leica just yet. So I've used unedited jpeg photos from leica M8 as a reference to create this simulation.
Thanks for the reply. Is it part of the package on your website?
@@riceworshipper yes
Am I the only one who thinks, that this recipes have nothing in common with the original film, and have a very weird? I've got ZV-1, and the best and the quickest way I could find was to shoot in raw and then to apply in batch mode color profiles from RNI Films in LR on the phone
First of all this particular recipe is not made after a real film stock. Also if you are comparing film simulations to raw presets, you might have missed the whole idea of SOOC. Have you checked the blog? Whenever recreating film stocks, I am using real film references so I can come as close as possible in terms of color in my film simulations. The sony classic negative is not made after a real film stock. Some film simulations are my original creations and some are made after real film stocks. Initially with this film recipe I tried to recreate the fujifilm classic negative film simulation in camera, so that sony users can have it on their cameras as well, but after many tries, I realised that is not possible just with the in camera settings. So instead, I created a look specific to sony cameras and called it Sony Classic Negative. Obviously, editing software like lightroom will always have more tools to precisely shift colors, so you will always have more control, and it's not fair to compare with in camera film simulations. Different beasts with different purposes. In the same time, not everybody wants to spend hours editing photos, or atleast not all the time. That's why film simulations are so attractive. Because you get closer to the film look without all the knowledge or hours spent in front of the computer color grading. Using film simulations it's easier, more enjoyable and faster. That comes with a price. You could also shoot real film, but that comes with a different price. Creating film simulations in camera is much, much harder than color grading in lightroom. That is because the limitations of the in camera tools. Of course as I keep working on these recipes, I bring updates, perfecting the colors. Newer version come much closer than older ones. RAW prestes are great, but it's important to know that even through raw presets you won't be able to 100% accurately recreate the analog look because analog and digital sensors react quite differently to light. We can only try to emulate the same kind of colors, but digital sensors don't react to light like analog film. Film simulations will never be 100% accurate, no matter if it's from fuji, ricoh, sony or nikon, but they are coming close, while giving nice colors straight out of camera, removing the need to color grade, and people are enjoying this project as they don't feel the need to edit their shots all the time. Actually, one user of the community said my Kodak Gold recipe is very similar to the look he was getting when shooting film, and comes closer than any raw preset he has used to far. So I think these film simulations are not that bad afterall. I highly recommend checking out my blog to see the updated versions.
