The one thing Fujfilm got right, that no other camera manufacturer has, is their "film looks." They are essentially built in presets that make the shooting experience with Fuji cameras much more fun because you can see the punch of style while you shoot.
Unfortunately, I am a Sony shooter... I use the A7SIII and the A7RV which don't have these looks. So I've decided to recreate not just the Fujifilm Classic Negative film emulation as a Lightroom Preset but also Acros, Astia, Classic Chrome, Classic Negative, Pro Negative HI+Provia,, and Velvia-- and it's FREE to you! This is really cool! I've been a fuji shooter since they launched their X series and switched to Sony last year. I've been cooking my own Nostalgic Negative and Classic Chrome film simulation presets too. I'm really pleased to have found my own interpretation of Fuji color in these presets and will check out yours too! thanks for sharing them with the community.
I’d love to hear what you think! It’s really challenging to create a perfect analog for all scenarios but I like the Fuji emulations enough to have to try 😀

Thanks for the video. i've test your presets. and i'm impressed by your effort. especially for velvia, shadow tone is way more margenta-like than fuji camera's simulation. but it's more simliar to original velvia 50 film color!

I have been using your presets until recently, but now I have switched to Luminar Neo, unfortunately I won't be able to use them anymore, it's a real bummer, I hope something similar will come out for luminar in the future.

I think I got it wrong. So you made LR Presets for the different Fuji Film simulations and for the creative looks you put two recipes on your website?
You mentioned, that you struggle to get the fundamental colors right. Did you try to play around with the white balance values?
You are a hero! I really love my Fuji xt3! Even though I shoot with Sony a7riv, my Fuji Xt3 is really special to me!

I am a user of the A7iv and recently I started using the X-E4 and was surprised by the difference in color tones between Sony and Fujifilm. I was thinking that there might be a tendency for Fujifilm to lean towards a slightly lower temperature in Auto white balance compared to Sony. I have a question, is the Auto white balance setting on Sony left at default? Or have you made any adjustments like prioritizing white?
I hope you like them! I don’t make any big changes to auto white balance… it’s meant to be tweaked in Lightroom to your taste. Some of the profiles like Classic Negative push a bit warmer but that’s built into the preset 😀

HI! thank you first of all for your free work for the community. I have a question: should your presets be used by first applying the profiles you recommend in the link or do they already work well from the standard Sony profile?
Great question, essentially the presets are for raw photo editing in Lightroom or Capture One and they won’t be accurate with JPEGs. The profiles are simply in camera adjustments to try to create a similar look to the presets while you’re shooting(they’re less accurate). The profiles won’t be saved to raw files, but they help you to preview what the final “look” might be like after applying the preset. If you shoot JPEG, however, the profiles will be saved to the photo.
RAW Shooter recommendation - use the profiles to preview looks in camera (optional), then the presets in your editing platform for the actual edit.
JPEG Shooter recommendation - use the profiles in camera to get the ‘look’, presets won’t be accurate.

Also, the "Store" page has these same downloads available, all free of course, if it's easier to navigate!

Found this video and I’m super interested. Like many here used to shoot Fuji but eventually traded it in for Sony. Want to follow up. Will the customized creative styles also impact HEIF output like it does for JPEG? Up until now I’ve mostly shot RAW but want to convert to RAW+HEIF if I can. Can you help me understand if HEIF can be modified in the same way? Thank you and take care.

Sorry, bit late on the reply! Creative looks are available in the raw files… basically in Lightroom or your editor you can switch to the different creative looks. Same experience as Fuji, just not as great profiles👍🏻

Wow I'm really greatfull to found your vid, I was in the dilema of buying a XT5 or a Sony A7R V or IV and now I can go for the sony without worrying about those profiles.... or you still think the XT5 is better than de sony? Thank you so much!
These can get you close but are definitely not perfect and more importantly the Fuji in camera profiles just change up the shooting experience. With the XT5 you can get the look, and grain, etc. all into the on-camera jpg and reprocess to a different look still in camera. Sony has a few profiles they call Creative Looks that can do something similar but aren’t as capable. Hope it helps!
Overall, you can get this kind of “look” after the fact with essentially any camera!

@TheOtherSamMallory - I'd love to try these. Is there a way to get this preset as DNG images so I can use it on Lightroom mobile? I don't use Lightroom on Desktop which is needed to use XMP file presets.

Is this preset primarily a Lightroom preset rather than a creative look recipe? For example, there is a modified recipe for Classic Chrome, but can other styles such as Acros not be reproduced in creative look?

So let me get this one thing straight since I cannot find anything about this: Sony camera's do NOT have profiles whatsoever apart from the few lame ones that are pre-installed. You CANNOT drop profiles or custom settings in a folder to add extra stuff. Correct?
