  • In this video I go over the step by step replacement of a high pressure power steering hose I replaced on our 1997 Chevrolet K1500 4wd. Lucky for me the old one blew just as i got home and didnt cause a fire, just alot of smoke and smell. It is a pretty simple job but if you're unfamiliar this may be helpful. Thanks for watching.
    Tools used:
16mm and 18mm wrench to remove line, flare nut wrench aka line wrench is preferred
15mm socket and rachet to remove skid plate
This video is intended to be helpful, if you are unfamiliar with this subject or type of work contact and consult a professional before taking on the project.

Congrats. I also have a 1994 k1500, leaking hose, removal was easy.
    Reinstall has been unsuccessful .
My replacement hose is from a differant co.
Getting fittings started is a big problem.
Act as though they are cross threading.
Found numerous posting with same problem.
    Very frustrating.
8 years ago i replaced same hose. Messy but
    Sucessful .
    Thks for reading.
