What I did was take the wheel off, move the splash cover out the way and going above the frame using big pry bar bent the return pipe on the pump forward that gave me access to the nut. Had it off and back on in a couple minutes.

The people who design the layouts of these things have never once had to replace any of it.

This is some creepy shit ! I say that because I wrote a friend in Facebook messenger that I have to replace My power steering hose on My 93 Yukon today and being a Diesel/general mech for 38 years, not a problem. But I sat down with a cup of coffee just to surf Ytube for a bit to let it warm up outside and this video was the first one in the line up. So yea, private messenger My ass. Good catch bending the line, I always match up stuff like that before installing and good on You for replacing both.
EDIT: NICE cars Brother, I'm jealous !

Just did the hoses on a 1994
K5 Blazer 5.7 found it mugh easier and quicker to remove the pump from the bracket and do the hoses that way

oh good on you! that connection on the back was a pain, removing the pump probably would have been the way to go! Thanks for checking out the video

Having two 1994 chevy one Sub other pick-up found this trick works for me. Take power steering pump out buy taking it out thur bottom then when you have it out you do all you hose connections tape them get them tight leave hose on put back power steering same way you took it out bring it in from bottom,

Thank you, I feel like in a 2wd this would be a great option, in my 4x4 it was difficult to access from the bottom

To make it more clear you don't have to go under your truck to take it out thur the bottom you just open hood look down undo all bolts and stuff then with you hands lower it down do not try to pull straight up reason for this now you got it out put your hoses on.

Replaced the power steering pump, and both hoses in my 95 Sierra, and it seems that the high pressure fitting is leaking all over the place from the fitting on the back of the pump. Any tips? What am I doing wrong?

Were you able to very the threads on the pump and on the hose were good? And are you 100% that it didn’t cross thread or anything on the way in? That fitting on the back of the pump was so hard to get to that it would be easy to mess up the threads, also you just can’t trust new parts nowadays, might be worth pulling apart and inspecting the threads
