The Canucks are sure lucky to have this kid. Thank you to the rest of the NHL for not giving this kid a shot because of his size. I watched Pavel Bure play in his day and boy was that amazing with this kid blew it all out of the water with everything he did this year. He is definitely the greatest rookie I have ever watched way to go Petey... thank you for what you said about botchford as well to see the emotion in your face really shows what one reporter can do for a team and a city. Again congratulations on Rookie of the Year you deserved it. EP40 ROOKIE OF THE YEAR....

Seeing this a year later, you know Petey is destined for greatness. His game has grown so much over one season, but you can tell he is a genuinely good person with wonderful family and friends to support him. He's just a humble guy living out his dream. Go Canucks Go!

Dahlin and Pettersson are friends. Dahlin votet on Pettersson. And i have seen Swedish intervirews with Dahlin after the awards and he was happy and wished Elias the best.

Honestly, i wish he doens't put on to much. His size is why he plays the way he is. In todays NHL the game has changed, smaller creative dangling guys are more protected by the rules and hockey is moving away from big muscle guys banging it out.

Im from Sweden and no offence to Elias Petterson’s parents but their english is like a 9 year old boy/girl from Sweden of course
9 and younger or 50+. The boomers didn't have the same solid TV education as the rest of us.
The NHL needs to vet the announcers better, he can't even pronounce Canuck properly.
I love the Canadian players, as I am Canadian. But these swedes in Vancouver continue to impress me, Such poise, respect and just how humble they are is amazing.
Honestly wish I could have seen Pettersson play with the Sedin brothers.

@=LW= Canuck Sweden and Canada are very close to eachother in culture and climate. You've just been more "Muricanized" by your frightening, self destructive neighbour than we have, but we are also close in that madness. In terms of how we behave, Nordic people are close. That's why it's so easy for Nordic players to play and live in Canada.
