Anyone else get chills seeing Big Bert in a nucks jersey? Damn those memories, as a guy in my 20s I grew up watching Naslund, Bertuzzi and Morrison on the West Coast Express, best line in the league I don’t care what anyone says. Also seeing and hearing Jovo go “coast to coast like buttered toast” is another memory
I love the Canucks so much. The history in my lifetime alone has been incredible. Looking forward to the future. One day the Canucks will hoist the Stanley Cup.

The Vancouver Canucks did everything right! What a classy ceremony! I always felt no franchise does a better hockey ceremony then the Montreal Canadiens but the Canucks are right up there with Montreal.

Knew Bo was captain from the beginning, was nice to make it official. The highlight of the evening for me was seeing Bert again. After the Moore incident it could have been easy to not have him for that reason alone. But he was a major part of my becoming a Canucks fan. Yes my dad loved the Canucks but I needed something for myself to latch onto. It was the West Coast Express. Nazzy and Bert are still in my top 3 fav Canucks all time. Bert is a Canuck and I loved seeing him in that jersey again.
I met Kirk McLean awhile back! Had an hour long conversation with him and my dad. Such a great guy

Nice to see Todd get the ovation from the crowd. He was a huge part of the franchise in the 2000. He was just a great player. If we had better goaltending we would have won the cup.

So great to see the very 1st Canucks captain Orland Kurtenbach. He was my hero in the inaugural season. I was 7 years old then. Now I’m about to turn 57. Time for our boys to win the cup!!!

I’m not a Canucks fan. However, they are one of the best run organizations in sports. What a class act. One last thing. Bertuzzi deserves a lot of Love. I remember watching that guy and I’m telling you I haven’t seen a player like that since. That guy was unbelievable. He’s yours Van City. Retire that number along with Naslund, Morrison and Jovo.

This was a change in the franchise ya the Sedins last game was a oh so now the team is totally gone from the 2011 cup run and now the passing of the captaincy is crucial and big it’s time Canucks it’s also an anniversary year 50 years such a story not gonna lie I feel it like they have been good over there history nut putting it all one 0 cups and I’m not say this season I just feel it’s a possibility in the near future and playoffs that seems highly likely this season 3 fixing history 0 cups they wont lose the next time this team has a great captain that they really needed GO CANUCKS GO!

Canucks have only had great captains for the last 3 decades with 1 exception we won't name. Smyl -> Linden -> Naslund -> Luongo -> H. Sedin -> Horvat. No duds.
When that unnamed player was injured, they had another great wear the C, which was Alexander Mogilny. So from Linden to Naslund our best Captain was Mogilny not that other person.

When Trevor became team President, he understood his legacy in Vancouver would be on the line. He turned in a poor performance as President, never really taking full advantage of the relationship he had formed with the fans over the years. I'm not interested in seeing Linden anymore and he is probably not interested in being seen either.
@@cassidystarchild7907 In my opinion his lackluster performance as President doesn't take away from his HOF worthy performance on the ice. Still think he should have been there, especially as he's one of the hallmark captains of the canucks

True story : I almost ran over a Sedin, don't know which one. Was hot boxing my car and it was so smokey, pulled into a alley to fast and can barley see from the smoke. Almost hit him as he was waiting to pick up his kid in the westside, I think it was a school close to Dunbar, oh and it was the 2011 playoffs😨

Infinity238, yes I noticed that. I understand that Adidas has now taken over the CCM Vintage Jerseys line and is slowly offering more throwbacks. These current throwbacks are made in the pro style with fight strap and same details as with the current Adidas Pro Jerseys, with the same price tag as well.
They should’ve thrown Henrik Sedin in the lineup
