I remember going crazy after Burr scored to send the Blackhawks home in the 1st round playoffs G7 ! And then the wrap around goal in game 2 of the finals against Boston!

I watched it with my buddy who had just watch his Habs get knocked out in game 7 three hours earlier. I felt pretty guilty celebrating lol.

Yeah, he was something, sacrificing his body to block shots, and that sixth sense anticipation. Remember those amazing short-handed breakaways? 'Forehand, backhand, HE SCORES!' roofing it over another hapless goaltender. Thanks, Alex, you gave me many a happy hockey moment.
My all-time favourite Canuck. Scored clutch goals and played with energy every game. Players like that are hard to find.
...always came up with the big goals or killed the late penalty. Should be required viewing in the C' dressing room!

Went to his hockey school 4 years ago and broke my leg during training. This beauty came to see me a couple days later and apologized even though he had nothing to do with my injury. Hell of a player and hell of a man! Well deserved Alex!

This was wonderful by the Canucks organization. We need as a city and a country to recognize strong influences to our kids. This guy put his heart on the line every night.
Man do I ever miss 2006-2012 that era will have a special place in my heart. Such memorable teams and even better moments felt like almost every game you watched you were in for a treat. But burr you will be missed you are the TRUE meaning of the word “underdog” and showed that putting in hard work and believing in your self could give ..a chance to make your dreams come true and play in the NHL. I hope you come back and work within the organization cause you’d be a perfect candidate for a coaching job
It’s honestly so emotional watching all these players I watched as a young kid retire and become ring of honour inductees and retire jerseys. The memories I have I was around 7 when burrows slayed the dragon but I remember it like it was yesterday. He had been a big inspiration on me to thrive and push my self in all sports I play and to watch his name forever being Stamped to the roof of Rogers arena is the single most joyful yet sad things I’ve ever witnessed. Good luck Burr with the rest of what lies ahead for ya ❤️

I missed this because I was traveling, so awesome to see him get this honor. Undrafted, battled his whole life to get to the big show, and he had an impact and made a difference. The underdog who won a place on the Team and left a legacy of memories. This brought a tear to my eye. He deserved it! #14
