Alternate Mount & Outside Drum - Done! Genie Wall Mount Garage Door Opener

If considering installing one of these wall mount direct drive garage door openers, take a look at your setup and see if it's easily possible. Or maybe you'll need to jump through some hoops to make it work.
Not supposed to be able to install it with the Outside Drum on my double track garage door. I think they just made a blanket statement, lucky for me it all worked out.

This turned out so well! It’s so much quieter and it looks like it’s so much easier on the door. Hopefully the motor lasts a long time.

Funny I’ve looked into that, just looking. The motor is available but almost as much as the entire opener kit 😂
