That Matrix Demo is nearly 3 years old. The next hardware better at least be able to run that.
With the ceiling that Game Development has hit these last few years. Running that demo is a good sign for ports.
The gpu on this thing is portable class, its like a..... 3040 (this is a made up card class, for anyone who doesn't know) running nanite and lumen rt, that's a really encouraging sign.

This is one of the features I'd be looking forward to the most. Faster or non existent load times means more actual play time!
The load times, depending on the game, sometimes take way to long on the current Switch. And that's especially annoying when you died and have to reload and that takes up to 30 seconds.
So I'd be happily welcoming faster speeds, even more than higher resolutions and FPS.
Folders, and for God’s sake, do something about the eShop. Not anything in particular……the ENTIRE thing.

@@greenlight2323 I mean yes _but_ it is Nintendo, We know it's not going to be anywhere near a PS5. It still has to do the Game Boy bit remember and Nintendo do care about styling somewhat now, they don't want it looking like the new-age Nokia brick that is the Steamdeck. But really, it doesn't have to be, as the PS4 Pro was plenty capable of running some stunning looking games.

Nintendo always did things on their own terms, and we cannot predict nor know about what Nintendo shall do next. However, we can still assume that Nintendo will follow the same steps as the Switch as the market for Handheld is still very much alive and profitable. You shouldn't expect Nintendo to have a PS5 level of power, because in Handheld terms, this is impossible to achieve as of yet due to the technology as of today. And for PS4 levels of power, it more than suffice. There is plenty of stunning looking games there, and does perform well depending on the model of the PS4 and how much they optimize it for.
Nonetheless, people do complain and even developers about the power. There was an interview last year about how 1st party developers of Nintendo (or maybe 3rd party can't recall) wanted to have a more powerful hardware than the current one to develop on due to their ambitions. Problem is that Nintendo needs to play it slow and steady, because that would cause financial issues to Nintendo.

Honestly, if the next Switch is can visual perform and keep up with a PS4 Pro in handheld mode, and a bit better in dock, while also being 100% backwards compatible with all Switch games, while also improving fps perfomace of those games AND have little to no load times; I may not even bother playing anything else. Instant loading times like the cartridge days of Super Nintendo, is a game changer for today's or last gen games.

I did some digging and can tell you EXACTLY how the next console will work. The new console will combine The Home console (Switch) and handheld (DS) into one device. This will open up gameplay methods that have been missing for quite some time as well as expand their offerings for NSO with the introduction of DS and 3DS titles, but that's not what we're here to talk about. Every game does not need 2 screens and Nintendo knows this which is why they have created a design in which the screen can be used in a DS format (with 2 screens showing) and a format in which the larger 8 inch screen covers the smaller second screen (With only 1 screen showing). Also because the device top screen detaches it fixes any hinge issues and it also allows you to cover the 2 screens when closed. Also it is from my understanding that rather than handing a joycon to someone you would hand them a screen and they would wirelessly communicate with the main device similar to how the Wii U console communicated with the gamepad for better gaming on the go. Anyways exciting times ahead.

Well, it depends on the game. If you're talking about a PS5 game that runs at 4k? It will probably 1080p on the Switch 2.
Nintendo isn't going 4K, we don't need, hell I never want it. Graphics are NOT important.

@@ItApproaches Nintendo is going 4K when Switch 2 is docked whether they use DLSS to do it or their own upscaling tech, it'd be stupid to think otherwise. 4K TV's are easily affordable nowadays so theirs no reason not to have 4K.
If the demo is in 4k or not has basically zero impact on load times. I have no doubt that the next gen switch needs better load times as it really can bring up new gameplay mechanics

By default, every system is faster then the last one...who releases a slower system then their last one? I wish people would realize speed isn't important, peoples attention spans are non existent and people only want FASTER FASTER FASTER!!!!! You don't enjoy a book by just reading the last page, you don't enjoy a song by making it a race to the last note.... you don't enjoy a movie by watching it in fast forward....people need to SLOW THE HELL DOWN. Enjoy the wait. Life is all about WAITING and learning to enjoy the wait. People want instant gratification well you may as well just die today then cause that's making your journey go right to the end result.
Why even use the “2” branding. Making a more powerful Switch with way better joycons would sell another 200 million.
Nintendo Switch 2 should be upgraded to Snapdragon G3X Gen 2 instead of NVIDIA T239. An outdated chip from before the Switch 2 hit the market 😢
Nobody knows what the chip will be, they are just basing all their "leaks" on a old and pretty ineficient chipset (as well that Nintendo can get something even better and by less money), that thing was tested 4 years ago
