The Shadow of the Wind is fantastic, I think you'll love it. It is the the first in a trilogy though! Time Traveller's Wife is also amazing, though you'll have to focus to keep up with all the time jumping!

I really enjoyed Written in Red - kind of urban fantasy-ish, but also just about the power of community and caring for each other and crazy. Also crazy amazing horses. So.
Written in Red is amazing!!! It's slow paced with a lot of world building and when the action does happen.. It gets intense. There are going to be 5 books according goodreads :) I'm reading book 2, A Murder of Crows this month.

You might know this, but The time traveler's wife has been turned into a movie as well, starring Rachel McAdams (you know, from the Notebook) and Eric Bana. It's a beautiful movie, but I've never read the book. Might do that this summer :)

I just read The Time Traveler's Wife (in May) and it was pretty good. It's a movie too, so once you read the book you should watch the movie and do a comparison video :) I like to book better by the way lol

Personally, I haven't read The Shadow of the Wind, but short time ago I read another book by that author, The Prince of Mist, and it was SO good and so well written I had to get #2 and 3 of that trilogy. If The Shadow of the Wind is half as good as the Prince of Mist you are going to enjoy it very much.
I'm really surprised you haven't read Ready Player One. I watched Paige at Enchantology review it and bought it and read it because of her. The Time Traveler's Wife is really good as well.
Ready Player One was really fun but the 80s references were annoying heavy handed at times. I'll be curious about your opinion on The Time Traveler's Wife. Like you, I've heard lots of good things but the premise has always felt...strange to me?
