This is the final review I'm going to do - I'm not getting a commission. For info on keel reinforcements and cart building see sites.google.com/site/hobbyhi...
@totaldla, my Wife and I got tired of carrying my stealth 2000 12' in and out of our toy hauler, so we literally built a 4 wheel Kart that we can use to transport my boat in and out and around the yard, also the Kart can be put in the boat in the back of a pickup truck and then strapped in, I wished I could put a picture of the Kart on here for you, I believe it would help you alot
The water comes from the factory rivets that mount the bungee cord behind the seat. When you are setting in the boat, they are submerged some. I remounted the hook point higher and plugged them and stop that from happening. It was a poor spot for those rivets. I had mine for 3 years now. and store it inside, but have not had any fading. And if you mount a trolling motor to it. you want to make a mount for the back handle. If you buy the side mount bracket that beaver tail makes. It makes it difficult to control in current. I love mine for goose hunting out of by myself, but is not enough room for 2 people and goose decoys. Not so bad duck hunting.
I own both the stealth 1200 and a hobie proangler tandem and let me tell you… it is night and day. Treat yourself to a nice high end hobie and put it on a trailer, you won’t regret it

Thanks for the info
That's after one season's use. Tell us your thoughts after four more years.
Would you recommend this for a 50 year old 5’8” 275 lb with a dog for hunting small lakes and back waters?
A better choice would be the Newcanoe Frontier 12. Much lighter and better options.
