Just stumbled upon your video and really enjoyed it. I used to have a Jon Boat growing up in Florida and now that I'm back, I want another one! I used to see those long tailed motors running up and down the canals of Bangkok, Thailand back in the 1970's but they used engines out of Toyotas; I never knew they caught on here. Great job!
I have that motor motor on a Mud Skipper Twister and really like it on my 1436 Lone Star. I know that you have a surface drive now and I wanted a surface drive but can't afford it. The Twister has a shorter shaft and I have almost the same angle as a surface drive, which is very close to an outboard. People worry about that flexible shaft and they send a spare with it, which kind of made me worry. But I've throttled the hell out of it with no problems, so far. I grease it every time I load it on my trailer though and I got rid of that three bladed prop before I even mounted it on the boat. I need to pop over to the video about your surface drive and ask where you bought the kit from. I love my little mud boat and do all of my fishing from it. Oh, I used Gator Glide on mine too. That stuff is amazing!
Tip if you want wood to last in a boat???? coat it with epoxy resin a few times. It will do 2 things. Absorb the epoxy making the wood more structural and water proof. . Your wood will last a crazy long time.
Dude that boat is amazing ! Great job with the restoration man. Question what is the brand name of that boat and where could I find one like that? I love what you did with the speakers and everything man. Thanks for any advice
Could you please tell me what light bar you used? It looks like you just drilled straight through the bow rail and it'd help to know what length it is even.
How many batteries are you using to power the LED light bar and speakers? I'm in the middle of building my boat and not sure on battery for a stereo/speaker and trolling motor
No need to waste a rocker panel switch for a stereo that already has its own power switch. Wire it straight to power and run a inline fuse for protection. Good work btw. I built my own Jon boat as well.
hey man was their foam where you cut out for all the stuff to go? i have foam in mine but i wanna cut out the middle and put hinges and boards like you did to have places to put everything
Front had foam other two already cut when I got it, it should have foam if it was to sink but that was t enough foam to hold it so I have a rope an buoy incase it did sink I can find it.
Is that a 1436? Just curious cause I’m looking to buy one and I’m scared a 36 wont be wide enough. Also what size long tail was on it? I know it has a surface drive now but curious about the old one
With those predator motors man they can’t be turned on there side long. Oil will come threw the valve cover vent tube and leak into the carb. I’ve had a go devil crawfish model that’s done this multiple times.
When you pour out of a jug. Turn the jug 180 degrees and pour out of the side. You will have better control and won’t have the glue glug glug thing going on and it won’t splash splash splash. Also add a small painting pole to your roller then you can roll with two hands and your wrists won’t hurt. Try it you’ll like it! I’m redoing an old Lowe deep “V” Thanks for the lesson’ I subscribed and liked

I think anyone would be happy to have that boat I think you did a very good job pat yourself on the back if that boat started out at 800 I think you'll get at least three grand for it now
Do you know how to read spark plugs? You don't have to worry about the main jet there is only one for a stock engine. change the muffler, you should change the jet. But getting your plugs to run coco tan is where you want to be
That color is perfect! It makes me want to paint mine whether it needs it or not. It all worked out great. Nice refresh.

Cool! Awesome boat for duck hunting, fishing, or whatever! Thanks for sharing!
This was so fun to watch! It’s definitely inspired me to do a project like that. Thank y’all and God bless!
That’s awesome. Any chance you could add links to the lights, wiring and speakers?
Awesome video! Paint job turned out nice and the rip thru the marsh at the end was even better
Sweet job on the boat and the video! Keep ‘em coming!

I was thinking about a fiberglass coat what do you think about that?
Epoxy will crack.
Turned out bad ass. Thanks for sharing
Nice build what speakers did you end up using? Also how much fun time you get in the speakers

You seem to be a jack of all trades. Well done and have fun! 👏😎
Nice work, I have a project Jon to do and like the camo so will try it out.
Enjoy your hard work !!!
Thanks man!
Well done little brothers! Awesome build! Thanks for the ride aloha
Thanks for watching!
What screws/bolts/taps etc did you use to screw the wood that the grab bar is mounted on to the ribs on the boat? And did it hold good or break loose
Bad Ass boat!! I’m very motivated now to do something very similar to your outstanding project, congratulations man. You’ve earned a subscriber!
You did a awesome job, I know what iam going to do now. What are you using to power everything?
Check my channel
Nice work bud!! Looks grt!
Paint job came out nice! Sick jon boat!
Good work man , i Love this setup !! Jon boats aren't big in Australia
This is a really awesome build!
This is the perfect huntin boat good job man
Could you please tell me what light bar you used? It looks like you just drilled straight through the bow rail and it'd help to know what length it is even.
For the gator glide can you use that on pirouge i have a 12ft aluminum also? and if so which one should i use? and where did you find the stencils at?
What components for the speakers did you use or was it just a kit from boss?
How did you prep the surface for the paint for the boat and the gator glide for underneath the boat?
Awsome build! Do you happen to have a build list and links to the stuff you used? Thanks!
Sick build! Just curious what do you do for a living?
Awesome job on the boat, love it

That looks and runs great!
appreciate it brother
Looking back would you have painted the hulll first before the bottom?
Any way you can tell me exactly what stencil kit you got? I really like the way yours turned out.
Havoc timber if I’m not mistaken
I really like the motor set up for you think it would be good in a lake set up
Good job dude looks good . I’m getting a used 1542 today
I’m glad I seen this I’m gonna build my job boat like yours 🔥🔥
Very nice wiring job.
Tree bark goes up not sideways but it still looks good
Keep up the good videos
Nice find and build.
great video. aren't the nav lights suppose to be visible from the side?
They’re so bright in the night it shines water usually have the light bar running which blocks them out but it’s legal.
Just got recommended to your video we'll see how it goes hoping for the best😎
What color paint did you use from sea hawk??
what sound system did you use bro ?
Nice job young man

That is incorrect sir. If you do not have a main feed then the ACC will drain your battery if sitting for long periods of time off a trickle charger.
does bro not know that he just made one of the cleanest john boats i ever seen 🤐😍
What motor and setup is this and where can I find one?

You should make a list of everything you used.
What did you use to cut out the holes ans storage?

Pretty sure 10ft but yes it’s a 1436 I keep a cooler or person every time I go out it’s fine
when you say you grinded on the bottom what did you use? and what did you use to sand? did you use gator base or just the glide? thanks
Looks like he wire wheeled it.
Damn son. Sharp boat.
I’ve heard some people say that you loose buoyancy if you take the foam out of those seats. Then others say it isn’t true at all.
Not true but you do risk sinking too the bottom
Hell yeah dude 🤘🏼
Clean
Can you put a surface drive on any boat or does it have to be certain types of John boats??
any boat honestly it’s pretty much like a normal outboard i have one on my 1436
If you take a lighter the end of the looms it’ll get rid of the frays and help keep it in good shape
What does the gator glide do ?
Where'd the grab bar come from?
I wonder what the fish think about the music you be playing while out and about :D
Is that a Duracraft? JW, great content btw!
Can some one pls link the grab bar he used?! Can’t find one like it anywhere

Very nice
Love It I Have The Same Boat I Want To Build Mine The Same Way 😂😂😂
How wide is the floor?
How’d the paint on the outside hold up I just did mine and seems so come off very easily
Still pretty good too this day
Where did you get the 4 switch panel
Thx
Amazon
So what is the motor that you are using for your John boat?
Look at my channel
Very impressive for a young man
Boat is amazing! but taking that foam out is risky
what size wire loom did you use ??
Enjoyed the video. The camo running end to end instead of up and down is a little confusing???
First timer lol
where did you get the stencils for the camo?
amazon
Verry cool, is this a 12 foot, looking to buy one
14/36
Did you find that boat in the woods

Are you for real? Bozo

Started at 1200 I put 800 into it a van and get more than three grand especially with that mud motor lol
@@thebrowncompound oh okay anyway I think anyone would be proud to have it like I said before very fine job
Very proud that’s the Most used boat I own I’ve put 25 hours on it
Hey bro where did you buy the GATOR GLIDE from
Gator glide
How many cans of spray paint did it take
Probably 6 of each I painted everything I could
Where did you get those stencils?
Amazon
And then I palm trees 🌴 love hearing other people listening to Flatbush
What mud motor is that
is that 2 different stinsle kits ? round looking camo, and the line looking camo? what are the names of the camo?
It’s one kit comes with two stencils
What carb is that?
Where did you find that gator glide stuff at? I have a 12ft flat bottom and I never knew I needed that until I saw this video
gatorglide.com pretty sure lol
See how the handle is on left side of the motor? That means you stand on the right side.
You should put a sea-Doo jet driving in it make a jet John lol that would be awesome
Has a bigger motor now stay tuned 🫡

Tiles ba, gamit din itong vlog pasaring sa sasakyan pa rin
How is the paint holding up? I’m looking at that brand of paint and want to see the durability before i order,
Pretty damn good
Make sure you give it plenty of drying time 48hr
10-4 thanks, you used the green. Is it as light in person as it looks in the video? Their samples look very light green also, just curious.
Teeth on bendex drive caught on flywheel ?
Let's see that speed boat rip with new prop
