God bless you sir! I've been everywhere it seems like to look for a free or cheap pitch shift option and this is literally the only video I've found that explains it native to GarageBand. I added the Wham pedal to a guitar track with your settings and voila! Honestly I tried using it before but it didn't make sense and I didn't see instruction easy to find. Anyway, now I can play and learn songs in other tunings without having to buy a $200 pedal. Thank you! Huge life saver.

I finally have the great instructions about changing pitch. Wow, I am very pleased, thank you! Now, I should be able to sing with myself in 2-Part, 3-Part and 4-Part harmony. So if my voice can't get high enough for a high tenor or alto part, I can record it lower and then raise the pitch. Maybe I can reverse it to lower my voice into a low bass range, to add a deep bass voice. Yay!

Used to be I can just play with the pitch and it changes the overall key of the track but now it sounds mental... any ideas why? It works beautifully when there isn’t much of a change to make, but I did get distortion (slipping pitch) when I moved it up to +4. Is there a workaround for that? Luckily, the track I need is only for practice, not performance. Thanks!

I've never tried to make that dramatic a change in pitch (major third). It seems the function has its limits.

The GB version used here is 10.3.2. Once you click the Pedalboard key, you'll get a new window in which you'll move to the menu in the upper-left corner. That drop-down will give you several options, and towards the bottom of the list you'll see Filters, Modulation, Pitch, EQ, and Complete Pedalboards. Is Pitch missing from that list?

I haven't used Garageband in months, but when I last used it, I was able to see all those options in the pedalboard like in your video. My Garageband is updated to 10.3.2 so I'm not sure what's happening...
