I'm late getting this figure, just ordered him last night, so I'm happy to have found this review. My only real complaint is that I would like the right shin guard to have been removable like the left shoulder pad.

I'm glad my patience paid off. Preordered this fig when solicited hoping they could approximate the glam shots, they did. The SHF Ragnarok Thor is an ugly fig. The MLs Thor has been my place-holder but I'm glad this one will be in my hands next week. The limited ab crunch does not bother me in the slightest. His size does a little though, was hoping he'd be taller. My two gripes: You can't remove the shoulder and shin armor pieces NOR can you remove the Cape. What's the point of including a post-Sakaar, head-scuplt when you can't also strip the fig down to what he wore during that part of the film? Another than that, I`m good!
I’m glad the alternate faces don’t have the arena paint but damnit I wish that shin guard was removable... I’m still getting this guy to pair up with the SHF Gladiator and IW Hulk since the figuarts Gladiator Thor is pretty lackluster
Great review, glad to see this is a much better figure than their Ragnarok Hulk effort, though not a fan of the head sculpt. Because of the disappointing reviews of the Hulk figure I was fortunate to cancelled both Mezco One figures.
Can I ask you... as Im just getting into collecting, between Mezco here and Figuarts which are better? These seem to be slightly more expensive, but is this nicer in person?

its really cool i just kinda believe it would be better if they made the armor like the Spider Man far from home stealth suit or night monkey suit where its not hindered and hard plastic armor was just an accessories that you can put on him. other wise he looks great.

Damn man, those last two pics make me wish Mezco had done an Infinity War Thor. I'm glad this one stands up next to the SHF Hulk pretty good. I cancelled the Mezco Hulk when I saw the garbage reviews and I was worried SHF Hulk would be too small.

Amazing figure, sharp facial sculpt, near perfect likeness. Amazing feel. I'd say with mezco you can't really get a grasp of how the figure is until you have it in hand. They are always better in hand. The ragnarok hulk I think is great. By far has the best sculpted head for a ragnarok figure, the sculpting throughout is superior to any other companies attempt and it is solid and has an amazing weight to it. Again , with mezco best not to throw out opinions until you have IN HAND.
I canceled this at the same time I canceled Hulk, just because I didn't think I had much use for one without the other. I don't like the Figuarts Hulk before anyone mentions it. I'm strongly considering buying this after all. Oh, and I really hate wired capes so that part is a plus.

I think they mean in the sense of the flesh tone and features. It sort of reminds me of the presentation of the unmasked knightmare batman in the promo images or classic superman's heat vision look where he has no eyebrows. That's my take on the "soft" comments... Good sculpt but weak paint apps.
I'll still take the SHF comparable as face likeness to Hemsworth is spot-on where the Mezco face likeness looks soft IMO. Also the sculpt on the SHF is more MCU accurate IMO as while the Mezco is slightly more buff this is an MCU Thor rather than a comic version so your comments related thereto don't really hold up in regards to MCU accuracy. Thanks for the review though.
He looks good but out of ALL the Thor costumes he's worn in his movies WHY(?) THIS LOOK?!!! I'd much rather have him in his 1st movie helmet(w/ a removabke helmet of course),look or his Dark World look or even His Avengers 1st movie look. But THIS?!!!🤦

He useless is... With cool tattoos from he's body..... Kinda like that baldur guy..... Thor's half brother. Meaning baldur from god of boiii....

Great review. Only gripe is the unmasked heads don't have the face paint but the promo art for the figure does.
This looks so much better in hand as usual... I'm so glad I saved the 💰 on that Mezco hulk, for around $30 the Select is the way to go imo.

Jay Tick I only own one figuarts but I can vouch for Mezco they’re great figures in person the fabric and sculpts are the best I’ve seen in 1/12

The one behind Thor was Marvel Select. Select is a 7 inch scale line, which is why that Hulk was the biggest :)
