Figured I'd point out that at 17:28, I'm not sure why I said 1,280 Int32 cores when in reality it's 1,536... oops :p
Just bought one. Upgraded from 1660ti. So far it's been well worth the money. With DLSS quality I've been playing Metro Exodus Enhanced, RT set to ultra and at 1080p I'm getting 75+ fps. Better than I expected.
Thank you so much for this in depth review with real data!
4060 is actually a great card
just ordered a new rig with the 4060, hyped
@@garry7758same
Yeah man, for all the shit it's getting it's actually a great card that easily play most, if not, all games on recommended settings@@garry7758
@@garry7758me to gets shipped out the 29th
Just bought 4060 laptop and I agree with you.
Thinking about getting one. It might be better choice to get 3070 but those have run out of warranty so thats a small negative.
I upgraded from a 1650 to the 4060. Kind of kicking myself for not getting the 4070, but for a 1080p card (and 1440p in slightly older games) it does a pretty good job and I'm happy with it and my wallet got a little relief.
I'm on the cusp of getting this. I was thinking of the 4070 a lot and somehow convinced myself that I don't need that much given that the heaviest game I play is MSFS2020 on 1080p.
I'm probably on my last leg of gaming given that I'm in my 30s. Leaning towards the 40 series because of how energy efficient it is. I have the same CPU but with the DDR5s on the rest.
I'm gonna say goodbye to my good friend Asus Strix 1060 6gb. Served me for 8 years already and not a problem given. That's why I'm always with NVIDIA.
Same here. I’ve had my GTX-970 and GTX-1080 for a long time. The 1080 was such a good card it when it released still is good for 1080p. But I need an upgrade for a 2k monitor. I’m choosing this card because it’s at a good price this month and I like the features and performance. Nvidia for life.
@@tonymonxana992 good cards man. I ended up with a 4070 because I saw someone's ultrawide setup on flight sim. Lol.
hey man! how are you so underrated???? this review was amazing and i watched the whole thing. but how about if i want to buy a brand new gpu? would you still recommend this one?
I’d probably go with the RX 6600xt or the 6650xt depending on whichever is available in your region!
Noice! Good to see you back at it with quality GPU reviews Proceu. Will we see a *4070 16GB SUPER* Review to complement your Legendary 3070Ti Review?
I use it. It’s fine. I have a beast rig but ran out of money at the end. I’ll upgrade next year to a 4080 super but I haven’t missed a beat with this card.
Just Purchased for 220$ 1st Gundam Build for me Personally!!! Cant wait to get started! Jus waitin on few parts!!!! 🎉😅😂 I want to pair it with a intel i9 😮
AMD Ryzen 7 5800X + GeForce RTX 4060Ti 8GB is this good for 3dsmax vray rendering? or any other GPU
Might be upgrading with this from my AMD Radeon R9 390
Hi, I'm building a PC with a 12th gen i5 and an RTX 4060 from Gigabyte. I plan to use it for Blender rendering and gaming. Is this a good choice? I'm also considering 16GB DDR5 RAM
Yes its okay but with 12 gb vram it will very great
For some who came from gtx 1650 its great but how it will performe with i5-11500
I've this one question because I was also going to buy rtx 4060 but there are two types of rtx 4060 from Gigabyte, one is Gaming OC and Eagle OC . So here's the question what's different between them and there's also a dual fan and triple fan can you please help me with these confusion!!
The difference is the build quality of the heatsink and PCB. Generally, I don’t think it really matters which one you buy, but if you want a factory overclock, you may want to get the Gaming OC
I brought this for cs2 but the pny version, big upgrade from the 1050ti so happy
Def a big upgrade coming from GP107 to AD107!
I’ve been having problem understanding what is the difference between the rtx 4060 and the 4060 oc and why is the oc cheaper
oc comes over clocked from factory
I bought the msi one at 280$ looking back it is the same price that my old 1660s
As a regular consumer who just wants some help to choose a gpu to play some games I hate it so much when recomendation is simply - buy a used card. I don't want to take risks or learn how to check everything and run tests. So is it worth picking up or doesn't? I still don't know
The review itself is good tho
100% understandable! I should be prefacing this more with “if you’re comfortable with buying used, you should do that”, because of what you’re saying! I agree 100%!
It depends what you're upgrading from. If you're on a 30 series already, probably not worth it. Anything older, it's a pretty significant jump, and dlss and rtx performance are fantastic
Im getting my fist pc gaming/working build and i was looking to get the 3070 with the i7 12th gen but i cant find the 3070 and all the prebuilt ones are featuring the 4060, should i get it even though its weaker than the 3070?
4060 is 10% faster
can this GPU handle AI instructions in adobe Lightroom and photoshop.
i currently have the GFORCE GTX 1650 4GB RAM and its not really performing.
i do a lot of picture editing.
It will handle really well. This card is super strong compared to a 1650 which is very weak now.
Probably will be getting this card as it is the cheapest in the 40 series lineup. Currently have an aging 1660 ti.
Don’t the vram is gonna be a huge problem.
Did you upgrade to the 4060? I'm using a 1660 ti at the moment, and I was considering upgrading to the 4060, especially now that it can be found for under $300 brand new on Amazon.
@@tayloroxelgren264but if you play at 1080 p then? I wanted to order today a ryzen5 5600, rtx 4060, 16gb ram. Want also to upgrade my Ryzen 5 2600, GTX 1660 for this. At 799,- .
@@T2B2BEyou can't go wrong with that. I'm using the 5600g way before having a 4060 and the difference between pcie 3.0 and pcie 4.0 is neglible in certain games at 1080p
@@UNPOCOLOCO444 yeah I just did, it's awesome.
It's good but 128bit bus killed it...
If only it had 192bit & 12GB vram :(

@@ProceuTech I sadly have the gpu, I like it, but I'm convinced it isn't going to last long.
I live in terrible conditions and I don't get warranty by shops here, so I'm forced to buy newly made "new" with extreme prices (uhm 600$ for 4060) with a terrible wage
And all the other gpus are usually sold as "used like new" and labled "new"
@@alo0ann why isnt it going to last long?
@@justdow1551
New games are demanding on VRAM.
Sorry but the RX 6650 XT is just way cheaper and almost has the same perfomance then the 4060. Wouldnt recommend the 4060
amd sucks and im amd get nvidia
Sold my AMD5700XT, extreme stutters, bad shader compiling, terrible stream quality.
@@alo0annboi that your dam problem you shouldn’t blame problems on amd they way optimize even from late party intel gpu
Those cards are garbage with garbage software. Nvdia way better with its Dlss aswell
I got the 16GB Ti version for AI and ML and its the best I could get under $500 USD
I have Ryzen 5 5600x and 16gb of ram. I want to buy gpu in this month. Wich one is better? Msi RTX 3060 3x Ventus or this Gigabyte RTX 4060 card?
The 4060 performs superior in terms of raw frame rates, and has a superior AI feature set. The 3060 has more memory. I’d pick the 4060 but the 3060 is also probably cheaper
Thanks for the answer. The MSI ventus and the gigabyte in the same price in our country. So I go with the 4060!
Still good enough with an i5-13400f? 13600k is pushing beyond my budget and have no interest in overclocking.
Definitely!
Oh yeah the 13400 is a beast even capable of pairing a 4070 with
I have amd 5 3600
And 1050ti
I'm looking for an upgrade cuz im a gamer, video editor, and Vfx creator. im video games developer
Should I buy this card
There is the MSI 4060 gaming x oc
Which card should i buy ?
Im confused
It’s really up to you which flavor you pick up. I’d recommend just getting the cheapest one, and if they’re the same price just go with the model with more fans!
The thing with crysis is that is still uses barely any cpu cores, even in remaster, witch really tanks performance all around, it could've gone up to 350 fps easily in 1080p and 150 in 4k.
4060 or 3060? im gonna get the ryzen 5 5600X3D. pls lmk which is a better GPU. i will be playing fps games. first time building pc btw
What are the prices in your region?
they both are ~ $300 usd@@ProceuTech
Go with the 4060, it’s more recent, and although it’s got less ram than the 3060, the 3060 is too weak to actually make use of all the ram. Plus, you’ll get a generation newer performance per watt and DLSS support
thanks
I found a sealed sh for 225$. Should I buy it?
Is it worth it to upgrade from a Gtx 1660 ti to an rtx 4060?
Yes
The buffet plate is 12.50
Im looking at this card mainly cause im bottlenecked by my psu. Its only 500w. So this would be ideal at only needing 450w to power it.
does it run fine with the 500w psu on stress test ?
@junnyd3587 yes it will work on a 500W power supply!
its rtx 4050
yeah its not completely useless but for that price? to be relevant for 2 years or so? aaaahhh hard sell bro
Was 2080 super performance level cheaper 2 years ago?
People like you are so delusional)))
@@baka_ja_naiughhhh excuse me did the 2080 super have 128bit bus and slower memory 2 years ago?

Why are people even gaming at 4k on a mid range entry card

4060 or 3060 for my 1st PC build?
Cpu?
Same 4060 or 3060 with 12400f and is the cpu and GPU combo good for blender like I'm not professional blender user like I m learning blender so which would be good for future
RTX 2080 Super raw performance with DLSS 3, better Ray Tracing and power efficient.
Temp ?
It’s cool
if you're from a 3rd world counter where electric charges are sky high then I would recomend 4060
4060 is really good, but should have been 250 dollars max
however, it's direct competitor is the rx 7600 retail at 270 dollars,
the probleme here is that both the rx 7600 and rtx 4060 too expensive
the second problem is how the rx7600 makes the rtx 4060 feel like a much better value,
sorry but sorry, dlss 1080p to 1440p looks amazing
even better for dlss, dlss can tank down to 540p ans still produce a watchable result, just try doing that with fsr 😅
so the rtx 4060 has a massive argument for value over time ,
as compared to the rx7600, the rtx4060 will age much better, since both of them have the seem memory configuration
let's be real here, for 30 dollars more, you will ge the best upscaler to date on the market , a troumendous rt performance gap, and similar raster,
the only thing amd has for it is the " i cost 30 dollars less"
like would want to gave up dlss ,raytracing just to save 30 bucks????
imo
the best prices for these gpu would have been
200 dollars max for the rx 7600 at least , the rx7600 would have been on point ,
250 dollars max for the rtx 4060
the question here, legetimately,
why take the rx7600 over rtx 4060 ???
who the heck are you to set up the price of somebody's else product? knob
it's what a desktop 4050 would have been as the 107 die is typically a 50 tier gpu, but calling it a "4060" gave nvidia the excuse to charge $300. This would have been fine as a $200 card. The 4060 should have at minimal performance at a 3070 level but it falls short of both a 3070 and 3060ti and more like a 6650xt. I question all those 5 star reviews on amazon as to whether they are paid reviews, or nvidia employees. a 6700xt/6750xt not much more will perform and age better as well.
I have used this card for 4months and I was actually impressed. I got so much out of it and with very good power consumption as well. So one of those reviews must be mine.
