He was using a Prophesy 2 with a Peavey head. He also had a Morley Lynch wah, his ProTone overdrive, and a Rocktron all access midi controller. I have video of this clinic from a different angle on my page.
@speedjunkie66 Daddario has the best set. Thickest 7th string, it's a59 gauge which is still pretty loose on 7s without a longer neck. Most people use a regular 6 string set with a 62-65 gauge bass string as the 7th.
@MrRustyCooley i saw in one of your videos you've got a vht power amp i was wondering if you've played any mesa, engl, or any other kinds of power amps if so what did you like or not like? i could still get a vht one just now called a fryette

The fact is that Rusty shreds most of the players of the 80's to bits.He loves to shred so what's wrong with that?Melody,legato,speed,accuracy,musical vocabulary etc etc..

I'd like to have a seven stringer, nothing fancy, maybe a knock off to mess around with, there's only three string companies that make 7 string sets, ernie ball,ghs and dadarrio, that I know of

Rusty alot of Wah remits me of Zakk and Shawn Lane mixed pretty cool.
The wah is actually the new Lynch Dragon wah by Morely it's the best wah I have ever played.
