Death Star doing a 360 no scope. I’m surprised we haven’t seen that sooner.
That was a gem
Star Wars resequel trilogy writers: "WRITE THAT DOWN! WRITE THAT DOWN!"
We haven't seen that sooner because Stormtroopers couldn't see sooner. ;)
@@johnlee7164 haha the re-sequel, I mean they really do need it lmfao.
@@johnlee7164 I can already see why the Disney people wants to go back to the High Republic era... They will eventually create a one-time use time machine, travel to the future to the time prior to the sequel trilogy, mess up the characters and events of the "original" sequel trilogy so that it really never happened, and we get the resequels we deserve while marrying the Skywalker Era and the High Republic era.
And with that, somehow Palpatine wasn't able to return.
Storm Troopers miss every time because if they hit, they would have to fill in a bunch of documents afterwards.

While you're at it imagine a world where their armor is actually useful and they don't die the first time they get shot

Commander: I don't care, blast it!
Gunner: Target destroyed.
End of movie and entire franchise.
Episode IV: No Hope
I always think of the family guy star wars joke from that scene where stewie goes “no life forms i dont care! What are we paying by the laser now?”
Sometimes I sit and think, boy, I would love to see the corridor guys take a modern cgi heavy scene from a film and try to recreate it using practical fx like they would in the late 80s and early 90s. It would be so interesting to see how many of the limitations would still be limitations, considering how much we now know.
would be fun, but don't think they can spend days, weeks, maybe months on single shots like they did back in the day in order to do a whole heavy cgi scene
they can't,they only know how to use PCs and CGI
No because who will carry on the channel after they jump off a cliff once realizing how much work it will take?
You do realize they are CGI artists right. While they talk about practical effects (often with guests) it's not really their thing. I've seen comments like these on a few videos all with a lot of likes. Is there a sudden new group of members who have no idea they are CGI guys not experts on how they did things pre computers? I no doubt suspect they studied such thing in their time learning CGI, but it's hardly their area of expertise.
If you like practical effects you should check out one of my favourite channels "InCamera", they've got so much good stuff.
I mean, Obi-Wan said that "Only Imperial Stormtroopers are so accurate" at the scene of the Jawa slaughter. Yet we never see that accuracy anywhere else.
Have you seen the video that counted up the total kills from the first hallway shootout? Stormtroopers are at least more accurate than untrained rebels.
@@SwordTune Storm trooper accuracy still wasn't that good. But at least they were hitting eventually. Rebels accuracy... Dear god point blank range with all stormtroopers coming through one door. How the hell can you miss.
They actually aren't that inaccurate. The only reason they weren't hitting in the Death Star was because they had to let the gang go, to get the location of the Rebel base. As for Episode 6, yeah I have no excuse for that one.
They had orders not to kill them in A New Hope, so yeah their shots are missing on purpose. You see them wrecking the Rebels on Hoth in Empire.
"Only imperial stormtroopers are so PRECISE"
23:27 this one got me! "I'll try spinning, that's a good trick" then the guy went like 400 rpm
After that: "Oh SH*T! 😳" 🤣

@@GarethOwenFilmGOwen And skills. Tools don't do anything by themselves.
@@ZalvaTionZ True
Thats completly on Nuke too, AE is good but Nuke is just the standart for a reason
Wild
The reason stormtroopers have bad shots is because the helmets make it hard to see. We know this because in a new hope when luke dresses up in a stormtrooper outfit he says “I can’t see a thing in this helmet”.
It's not because of the helmets, the targeting equipment is bio-linked to the soldier
Well, he also was "a little short for a stormtrooper", meaning the armor didn't even fit him in the first place. Not only that, but throughout A New Hope, the reason their shots are bad is because Vader told them to leave Luke and Co. alive, so they could be tracked back to the rebel base on Yavin IV
Indeed. When they try, in both 4 and 5 the rebels are barely an obstacle for the storm troopers. Only in 6 do they have real trouble and even then it’s debatable since they were so ill prepared for the battle of Endor.
in A New Hope when luke says "I can't see a thing in this helmet" that was actually Mark Hamill complaining about the fact that the prop stormtrooper helmet was impossible to see through
In the lore should a stormtrooper's helmet be removed with out permission it just shuts off. They are very good soldiers when they aren't fighting main characters.
For CGI skin, I keep hoping that you'll implement a heart pulse flush (MIT proved that a heart beat is detectable even under makeup). Subsurface scattering is not enough. All CGI skin looks like dead zombies mostly because it lacks this subtle flush.
Making skin shader is incridbly difficult. And the fact they were using models from a game, it makes sense why they weren't the most photoreal since game engines have limitations.
That's not a bad idea. The tiniest shift of red and green hues at different rates could even sell emotions just a little better
Rogue one is actually accurate to the stormtrooper’s skill. They destroy the main characters who aren’t in the other movies
xD
that's cause the troopers in Rogue one are much better trained than jn the original trilogy
@@CsRj2854 And they were told to hit, instead of miss, no?
Rogue One is the best, modern Star Wars movie
I like the force theory. That the force helps lead destiny, like the chosen one’s destiny. The force basically makes the stormtroopers miss people they need to
It's the helmets. There's literally a clip in Star Wars: Rebels where Captain Rex is wearing a stormtrooper helmet and has to take it off to shoot, "you can't see a thing" -Rex. The clone trooper helmets were far superior.
I always figured stormtrooper helmets were coded to recognize the original users face. So perhaps a normal trooper sees a HUD interface but someone else wearing his helmet would only see blur
That's actually a call back to the first movie (New Hope) when Han and Luke disguise themselves as Stormtroopers and pretend to take Chewie to the brig inside the Death Star. Luke says to Han "I can't see a thing in this" (referring to the helmet).
Nah he was just mocking the stormtroopers like how the marines, navy, army, and airforce shit on each other here on earth.😅
So were the clones.
It's funny because in real life stormtrooper visibility is quite good except for directly below the nose, while clone visibility is much worse

Me: *laughs in battlefront II*
Probably won’t see This comment, but I’d love to see a video from y’all explaining how VFX shots for movies get so expensive. Like what goes in to that process and how a “million dollar shot” from the titanic actually boils down. Love the vids y’all!!
Commenting on this just to help the algo. Would love to see Corridor break down the top 3? 5? Most expensive VFX shots in movie history. And like Charles said, WHY are they so expensive? Where does the money go, and ‘was it worth it’?
They've commented on this before, it's basically just man hours that are being paid for. More people working for longer costs more money
Yeah it's man hours basically. Every VFX shot in a big budget movie has multiple versions/iterations that are done to it before it's finalized. A VFX company like Digital Domain or Weta charges a movie studio like Marvel per shot. And factored into that cost are the salaries of the employees (and the weeks/months worth of time they spend making the shots) as well as use of the VFX companies gear (computers, render farms, etc). A shot like the million dollar shot in Titanic had a ton of VFX "firsts" or things they had to basically develop/invent new softwares to be able to do. So the costs of these shots also comes in the form of R&D basically.
Million dollar shot basically has a lot of new stuff never done before, so if they remade it from scratch, but using their tools and knowledge, the next time it would cost much less.
So basically , CGI cost more than practical fx?
The “Stormtroopers are ruining everything” line reminds me so much of the scene in The Incredibles where the insurance boss is yelling at Bob.
The opening theme is the best Star Wars theme clone I heard, most likely because it’s actually grabbing from other parts of the film soundtrack! Manages to not take me out of the experience.

The canonical reason for stormtrooper aim is the obscured vision through the helmets. I think there's a Clone Wars scene where somebody misses a few shots, takes off their helmet, and immediately hits one (while complaining about the helmet's vision).
You're thinking of Rex in rebels and he ends taking out a stormtrooper by throwing his helmet at them
I can't remember what its from but there was a scene in one of the animated shows i think where they dress as storm troopers and complain about not being able to see.

I'd like to hear your stuntmen react to stunts in the Power Rangers Franchise, and I'd also love to see an R-Rated version of that series.
In the original movie when Luke and Han went to save Leia, Grand Moff Tarkin told the stormtroopers to let them go because Leia will lead the empire to the rebel base. But everytime after that is their own fault.
The amount of steps for that plan to succeed is so insane. Tarkin must've been leagues ahead of Thrawn.
1. Board the ship, but allow escape-pods to launch.
2. Send a squad to follow the pod and herd the droids to Jawas that sell them to Luke.
3. Kill Luke's family, but not him, so he can escape with the droids.
4. Allow the falcon to escape from Mos Eisley, but shoot at the group while doing so.
5. Send Star Destroyers to pursue, but not capture the Falcon.
6. Allow the group to infiltrate the Death Star, rescue Leia and escape without them getting hit (but still shot at).
7. Send Tie fighters to shoot at but not damage the Falcon.
8. Follow the tracked Falcon.
9. Profit?
@@enskje I don't think it was planned. Tarkin just saw the opportunity and took it.
Was it Tarkin? I've always though it was Vader who ordered that. I believe there was a scene where Tarkin was questioning Vader if putting a tracker would actually work.
@@enskje up until they rescue Leia it’s just the stormtroopers having potato aim, he only has the plan to track them to the rebel base as they’re escaping the Death Star
@@takumiyoshimoto9542 Yeah, it was Vader. Tarkin's quote is, "You're sure the homing beacon is secure aboard their ship? I'm taking an awful risk, Vader. This had better work."

This is so awesome. The only "flaw", since I'm nitpicky, the visor on Luke's helmet, during the shots on the trench run, is too big. The visor ends at the inside of the helmet. The visor on your scenes goes beyond the inside, which if you compare to Sam's and Niko's shots, makes it look off scale.
probably to hide imperfections of the deepfake
Yeah, that scene cutting constantly to Red Komodo and Red Scarlet really highlighted the flaws in Red Leader that you might otherwise have missed.
3P0's death is my favourite so far XD "Occupied!" "W'ahh!"
Whole thing was so well done and very funny lol.
The jazz music over all the death is amazing.
Hey ! Presque impeccable en régie ! Manquait juste le son de la fin ! Encore bravo à tous, et merci pour les tranches de rigolade.
